We had such a good time with Meektrails Safaris! We were four friends travelling together and did a private safari in the Masai Mara, and the whole trip was really well organised. Peris helped us organise everything beforehand and was great from the beginning. She listened to what we wanted to do and tailored the itinerary around us, which made the whole experience feel much more personal. Robie was our driver and guide and honestly made the safari for us. He was really friendly, easy-going and accommodating with anything we asked. He knew the Mara incredibly well and made a real effort to get us close to the animals and into the best positions. We got some amazing pictures and saw so much wildlife up close. If we wanted to stay somewhere a bit longer for photos or just to watch the animals, there was never any rush. Having a private 4x4 between the four of us was perfect as well. We had loads of space and could enjoy the game drives at our own pace. We also did the walking safari at Lake Naivasha, which is definitely a must! It was a completely different experience being out on foot and getting so close to the wildlife. They also gave us hats and water bottles, which was a really nice touch and something we weren’t expecting. Overall, we had an amazing trip and would 100% recommend Meektrails Safaris. Thanks again to Peris for putting everything together and especially to Robie for looking after us and making the safari so much fun!

My group of 4 had an amazing experience with the Meektrails team. Esther was extremely helpful and supportive through the whole process from booking, to my questions leading up to the trip and logistics during the trip. Ben was an amazing guide, I can't speak highly enough about how he supported my 77 year old mother in law's mobility needs and kept the whole group engaged. He spotted the big 5 and other animals we would have never seen. Ben helped have so many special viewing experiences. He was very informative about the animals and Kenyan culture. Ben went at our pace but made sure all our needs were met. We went to such a diverse set of parks and our accommodations hit the mark every time. Tbe food, amenities and seevice made sure I did not worry about anything on our trip.I 100% recommend booking with Meektrails and would again myself. Niall
We just got back from an unforgettable 11-day private safari with our two families (including two 12-year-old boys who absolutely loved it!). Everything was seamlessly organized from start to finish. Our itinerary was packed with highlights: history at the Karen Blixen & Nairobi National Museums, elephant herds in Amboseli, the boat trip and walking safari at Lake Naivasha, rhinos in Nakuru, and feeding giraffes plus the Carnivore dinner back in Nairobi. The absolute peak was 4 nights in the Maasai Mara—huge thanks to the team for upgrading us to the luxurious Royal Zebra River Camp! Our guide Lucas was an absolute legend! He’s super knowledgeable, friendly, and a very safe driver on those bumpy bush roads. He always knew where to spot the wildlife and was great with the kid too. Thanks to his patience and expertise, we got to experience the bucket-list Mara River crossing during the Great Migration! Big thanks to Charles for all the quick responses and smooth planning before the trip. If you’re planning a trip to Kenya, we wholeheartedly recommend them!
From the moment I made an enquiry for a safari with Meektrails Safari, Charles got in touch straight away and has been absolutely fantastic throughout the whole booking process, his replies were always prompt and he answered all of my queries pretty much straight away, even late at night! The booking process was seamless, as a family of five, two adults and three children ages 13, 10 and 4 our whole safari experience was truly an unforgettable experience from start to finish. Our guide, Mercy was amazing. She made sure we saw as much as possible and got the most out of our few days at the Masai Mara Reserve, ensuring all of our family’s needs were accommodated. She knew all the best spots and her knowledge of the reserve was outstanding. On our return to Nairobi, Charles was also able to assist us with booking a last tour to the Nairobi National Park and elephant sanctuary, it was a perfect end to our trip as we got to see a white rhino and complete our sighting of the big five. This has been the trip of a lifetime for us, our children have had an unforgettable experience, I cannot recommend Meektrails Safari enough!!
Amazing experience with Ben! He ensure we had a seamless safari experience. We had a once in a lifetime trip in Masai Mara seeing an abundance of lions and wildebeests in the park. Highly recommend them!
Just back from an amazing safari in Kenya’s Maasai Mara! Incredible wildlife, stunning landscapes, and expert guides made it unforgettable. Comfortable lodge, delicious food, and warm hospitality. a trip of a lifetime. Highly recommend.
Our 3-day Masai Mara safari with Meektrails was truly one of the best travel experiences we’ve ever had. From the moment we landed until the time we were dropped back, everything was handled with professionalism, warmth, and genuine care. A special thanks to Valentine, who coordinated our entire trip flawlessly. Just before our safari, our resort booking was unexpectedly cancelled due to an issue at the property. Instead of letting us worry, she immediately arranged an even better accommodation without any hassle on our part. That level of proactive customer service is rare and set the tone for the entire trip. Our guide, George, was simply outstanding. He picked us up from the airport and stayed with us throughout the three days. George has the kindest heart, an ever-present smile, and a passion for ensuring his guests have the best possible experience. What impressed us most was that he never treated this as just another safari. Even when we were ready to head back to the resort one evening, he encouraged us to stay out a little longer because he had just received word that a leopard had been spotted nearby. Thanks to his patience and dedication, we were rewarded with yet another incredible sighting. His kindness extended well beyond wildlife. When I asked where I could exchange currency, instead of sending me to places that might offer poor exchange rates, he generously offered to exchange the money himself at a fair rate. It’s a small gesture, but it speaks volumes about the kind of person he is. One of the most memorable moments was on our second day, when George arranged a beautiful picnic lunch right in the middle of the Masai Mara. Sitting amidst the vast savannah, surrounded by nature, enjoying lunch in such a breathtaking setting is a memory I’ll cherish forever. What touched us even more was the care he showed towards my father. Since my father had some difficulty climbing in and out of the safari jeep because of its height, George found a step stool and made sure it was ready every single time we stopped. We never had to ask—he would already be there, helping my father get in and out comfortably. It’s these thoughtful little acts that separate a good guide from an exceptional one. And of course, the wildlife exceeded every expectation. During just three days, we were fortunate enough to see more than 20 lionesses, 3 leopards, 3 cheetahs, and even a rhinoceros. But the absolute highlight was witnessing one of nature’s most dramatic moments—a coordinated hunt where three lionesses chased and attacked a herd of zebras. Watching such a raw and powerful moment unfold in the wild is something we’ll never forget. Meektrails delivered far more than just a safari—they created memories that will stay with us for a lifetime. If you’re planning a trip to Kenya and are looking for a company that genuinely cares about its guests, look no further. Thank you, Valentine and George, for making our dream safari absolutely unforgettable. We hope to return someday!
If you’re looking for a safari company that genuinely goes above and beyond, I cannot recommend them highly enough. From the very beginning, Valentine made the entire planning process effortless. She was incredibly responsive, patient, and organized, ensuring every detail of our trip was taken care of well before we arrived in Kenya. Her professionalism and attention to detail gave us complete confidence that we were in good hands. The true highlight of our journey, however, was our guide, George. From the moment he welcomed us at Nairobi Airport until the very end of our safari, he became much more than just a guide—he became an integral part of our experience. George is simply exceptional. His knowledge of the Masai Mara, wildlife, birdlife, and local culture is remarkable, but what truly sets him apart is his passion for what he does. He has an incredible eye for spotting animals that most people would completely miss, and he always made sure we had the best possible views while respecting the wildlife and other visitors. Thanks to him, we witnessed unforgettable sightings and created memories that will stay with us forever. Beyond his expertise, George is one of the warmest, kindest, and most genuine people we’ve had the pleasure of meeting. He was always cheerful, patient, thoughtful, and attentive to our needs, making us feel safe, comfortable, and cared for throughout the trip. Every game drive was not just exciting but also educational because of the fascinating stories and insights he shared. This safari exceeded every expectation we had, and that is entirely because of the outstanding team behind it. Valentine ensured everything ran seamlessly, and George transformed our safari into a once-in-a-lifetime experience. If you’re booking a safari in Kenya, ask for George as your guide & his Jeep, you will not regret it. He is truly world-class and an absolute credit to the company. Thank you, Valentine and George, for making our Kenyan adventure so magical. We leave with incredible memories, amazing photographs, and a deep appreciation for everything you both did to make this trip so special. We hope to return one day!
Excellent, professional, friendly and more than we expected. We all had an incredible time and Joseph was amazing! Highly recommend.
Dear Meektrails, Our holiday has come to an end, and we are now on our way back to Europe. We are truly grateful for such an amazing safari experience. Gideon was an outstanding guide and driver—we couldn’t have asked for anyone better. He went above and beyond to ensure we saw as many animals as possible and had a wonderful time. We will definitely recommend you to others. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 stars from us! Meg, Guy, and Joanna ❤️
My family of four, two adults and two children, spent seven days with Meektrails Safaris, and we couldn’t have selected better! From picking us up at the airport to returning us, our guide/driver took care of all the details. That enabled us to truly sit back, take everything in and relax. Kenyans are kind, welcoming people by nature, but we genuinely loved Joseph, our guide/driver, by the end of the week. He was as knowledgeable about the Savannah as he was the wildlife that inhabited it. Joseph greeted us with a smile every morning and every day’s game drive was more exciting than the previous. Attention to detail, reliable, professional and accommodating are adjectives that well describe this company. Don’t hesitate to book them. Honestly.
The safari trip lasted for 8 days and 7 nights in total. The overall experience was excellent. The guide, Lucas, has rich experience, a great sense of service and very professional driving skills and knowledge. I strongly recommend Meektrails Company and the guide, Lucas.
Our Kenyan safari was truly one for the books, and it all began the moment Dennis picked us up from our hotel in Nairobi. From the start, his warmth, punctuality, and deep knowledge set the tone for what would become an incredible journey. We must first mention how smooth and professional the entire experience with Meektrails Safari was. Pauline was extremely helpful throughout the booking process even before we reached Kenya. From patiently answering our questions to coordinating everything seamlessly, she made planning completely stress-free. When we arrived, the team welcomed us warmly and even gifted us safari hats and water bottles before the journey began — a thoughtful touch that we really appreciated. Assigning Dennis as our guide was the cherry on top — he was superb throughout. Our first stop was Lake Naivasha, where we enjoyed a beautiful boat ride surrounded by stunning birdlife. Feeding the pelicans was such a fun and memorable experience. We stayed at Ziwa Bush Lodge that night — a wonderfully peaceful property with good food and a relaxing atmosphere that helped us recharge for the adventures ahead. The next morning, we headed early to Lake Nakuru National Park for a game drive. Dennis was exceptionally patient and attentive to our wish list — especially our hope to spot the black rhino. Thanks to his persistence and sharp eye, we were able to see not only the black rhino but plenty of other wildlife as well. His dedication really stood out. Then came a fantastic surprise — we were upgraded to Lalashe Mara Ripoi, which is arguably one of the best camps we have ever stayed at. A big thank you to Meektrails Safari for this thoughtful upgrade. The wildlife experience began right at the camp itself, with giraffes welcoming us from a distance. Throughout the night, we could hear the sounds of the wild — especially hyenas and lions — which made the entire stay even more thrilling and authentic. Our journey to Lalashe in the evening took us through the Maasai conservancy, and even that drive felt like a mini safari with wildlife sightings along the way. After such a rewarding morning at Nakuru, we thought the day couldn’t get any better — but hearing both a hyena’s laugh and a lion’s roar that night proved us wrong. Needless to say, our excitement for the next day was through the roof. We started early for our full-day safari in the Masai Mara National Reserve, having breakfast at 6 AM before heading out. One of our biggest goals was to spot a leopard, knowing how elusive they can be among the Big Five. Although we were relying only on our phones and didn’t have professional cameras, Dennis made sure to position the vehicle perfectly so we could get incredibly close and still capture amazing moments. It truly felt like a once-in-a-lifetime experience. We were absolutely thrilled to see all of the Big Five — and even the “Ugly Five” of the Mara! On the second-last day, we again headed out for a full-day game drive through the conservancy. Early in the morning, we were lucky to spot a pride of lions with cubs — and the best part was that we had the sighting all to ourselves thanks to the private conservancy experience. We spent a long, magical time watching the cubs learn the ways of the wild up close. In the afternoon, we visited a Maasai village and met the Maasai people — which, as Dennis nicely joked, are the “Big Six” alongside the Big Five animals. Post lunch, we headed back into the wild and were amazed to spot the same pride again — this time with the male lion clearly visible. I know how hectic it can be to scramble late in the day trying to spot a cheetah — something we were very keen on — but Dennis didn’t disappoint. His persistence and experience ensured we got the sighting we were hoping for. On our final day, we drove back through the conservancy on our way to our hotel in Nairobi, soaking in the last glimpses of the beautiful landscape. Dennis made sure we enjoyed every moment of the vacation and took care of everything seamlessly from start to finish. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a truly immersive and memorable Kenyan safari experience. We will come back for sure!! Asante Sana
Meektrails makes your safari dreams come true. Our tour guide was amazing and has become a friend for life. The accomodations were the best Africa had to offer and I can't wait to come back. A reliable service and worth every penny, will be recommending to friends.
We had an amazing experience with Meektrails! Everything from planning the tour, to arranging logistics was seamless and the team at Meektrails are super helpful. Our guide Joseph was the best and would highly recommend! From collecting us from our hotel at Nairobi, he was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. He is also incredibly knowledgeable and was able to answer all of our questions during the safari. He went above and beyond to meet all of our needs on the tour and was very flexible to give us a tailored experience that worked for us. We couldn't have asked for a better guide. The accommodation was also great with great views and immersion in nature. Thank you Joseph and Meektrails!
Perfect organized and very well guided by Joseph. Ratio 100/100. Best explanation and highest ability to find rare Animals. The rest was added value.
The guide Antony is very professional, well-connected as well as a fast mover, which is very important for game drive as animals do not wait for you. All the hotels we stayed at are full of hospitality.
We are incredibly grateful to have had Joseph as our tour guide in Kenya. From the very beginning, he took exceptional care of us with so much patience, warmth, and genuine concern. His deep knowledge, experience, and passion brought every place we visited to life, while his fun and outgoing personality made each day joyful and relaxed. Joseph didn’t just guide us through Kenya—he made us feel safe, comfortable, and truly welcomed. Thanks to him, this trip became an unforgettable journey filled with meaningful moments and beautiful memories. We wholeheartedly and highly recommend Joseph to anyone visiting Kenya.
Samuel was an absolute gem of a person. He took such good care of us and made us feel like family. I had expressed to him that I would like to see some big cats (cheetah and lion) and he went well out of his way to make sure we saw them. Words can not express the warmth and care this man had given us. As for the tour itself it’s wonderful. The zebra plains camp was breathtaking, I was sad to leave it so soon. If you have time for an extended trip with Meektrails and Zebra plains river camp make the effort to book it. Valentine also was extremely easy to book with and arrange with helping answer all my questions (I had a lot of questions) and ensuring to tailor our stay to our needs. In addition you can see that Meektrails have such a long standing good relationship with all their representatives in Maasai that you end up being given extra care. If you want to visit Maasai do it with Meektrails and if we end up coming here again I plan to book any other excursions with the same company. The value for money is fantastic.
The trip was excellent and i was out of words to witness the kind of things we saw. Stays were fabulous with utmost care! No issues with the vehicle too..very comfortable and neat. My driver/ guide Sam was very patient and ensured he showed us everything we ever wanted to see. More like a dream come true. However I wish he could share more details on animal behaviour, habitats and the places to make it more interesting. Esther planned my trip and I would see she did justice to what I asked her for. Though she messed up a few bookings, she ensure it was corrected and we had no issues encountered. Maybe be a little more cautious? And request was for a guide of my choice whom I didn’t get…so slightly disappointed with that! Rest all was amazing…I wish I could extend this vacation for a longer period and I’d really vouch for meektrails and you can definitely book them for your African safaris
We had an amazing safari with Meektrails and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. In just 4 nights/5 days, we managed to visit three different parks plus an extra lake, which felt like incredible value and was perfectly planned. Our guide, Habil, was outstanding. Even though it was considered the off-season, he worked so hard to make sure we saw all the animals we were hoping for and we did. He clearly knows the parks inside and out and always seemed to know exactly where to go. We never felt rushed and every game drive was exciting. Everything ran smoothly from start to finish, and we felt well taken care of the entire trip. This safari completely exceeded our expectations, and we would recommend Meektrails and Habil to anyone thinking about doing a safari in Kenya. It was truly a trip of a lifetime.
We just got back from three days in Masai Mara with Meektrails and honestly can't stop talking about it. We've been on the road for almost two years now and this safari is right up there with our best experiences. Our guide Robie made the whole trip. He's one of those people who just loves what he does - you can tell he genuinely cares about the animals, the land, and all nature. The team at Meektrails really looked after us. They checked in regularly to make sure everything was going well and were so accommodating with our requests. There's loads of safari companies in Kenya and it can feel overwhelming trying to pick one. We're really glad we went with Meektrails - they delivered everything they promised and more. Already recommending them to friends who are planning trips out here. Thank you guys for everything ❤️
It was a fantastic trip with a great hotel experience. Our guide, Gedion, was very attentive to our needs and shared many interesting stories about the animals and local customs. The luckiest part was that we managed to see the Big Five all in one go!
5 stars- period! Meektrails did amaizng work for us and we loved our Kenya trip! Meektrails Safaris is so professional, kind, wonderful drivers and knowledgeable. From start to finish, was perfect and our driver Lucas was so kind and excellent guide! We are so thankful for see all we did- just amazing! For anyone looking to book with them, very wonderful staff, clear communication and expectations, and perfect customized itineraries! Thank you!
My trip was planned by Eliud who thought of everything - sites to visit, luxury lodges to stay in, catered meals and packed lunches. Everything was thought of in advance. I saw Lake Naivasha, Nakuru, Masai Mara and a couple of other small things in between like the Rift Valley. My guide Habil was amazing. Very knowledgeable, able to reflect on the animals we saw, history, culture, an excellent conversationalist and good human all around. He went to great lengths to get me views of animals I really wanted to see. I kept getting updates on what was ahead and options to choose from. He is also an excellent and safe driver. And he gave me a lovely gift to take with me! The only thing I was weird about was the vehicle - the roads were rough and the minibus went far with Habil’s expert driving but should probably be replaced with a Land Cruiser. You feel every bump otherwise! I know most of their vehicles are now Cruisers but I’d verify if I were you! I’d do it again to be honest, and with the same company and guide. Super professional and excellent service.
The safari is totally beyond our expectations as we were so lucky to see almost all types of animals we wished to see in the wild, including lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants and rhinos, and even servals! Our driver and guide Ben is really helpful! 5 starred recommendations!
I just came back from a 3-day Masai Mara safari with Meektrails Safaris, and honestly, it was one of the most incredible experiences of my life. Everything was organized seamlessly – from the booking to the pickup and drop-off – which made the whole trip stress-free and enjoyable. But the real highlight of the safari was my guide, George. He was absolutely phenomenal! His knowledge about the wildlife, the park, and even the Masai culture was next-level. George had this incredible ability to spot animals from miles away – lions, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, and even a leopard that most groups completely missed. Every game drive felt like a new adventure, and his storytelling made the experience so much richer. Beyond being an expert guide, George was just a genuinely kind, funny, and thoughtful person. He always made sure I was comfortable, safe, and having the best experience possible. You could tell he’s truly passionate about what he does, and that energy is contagious. George is not only a great guide, but he’s now become my friend. The camp/lodge was comfortable, the food was great, and the views of the Mara were breathtaking – but it was George and the Meektrails team who turned this trip into something unforgettable. If you’re thinking of booking a safari, don’t hesitate – go with Meektrails, and if you can, request George as your guide. You’ll be in the best hands possible for an adventure of a lifetime!
So close to animals! So many lions, elephants, fish eagles and many more! Our guide called George was amazing! He made extra effort to take us to see all the animals - even driving out of one gate of Massai Mara and through another to see a cheetah! He was also great at being entertaining with facts and stories - especially on the longer drives. Luxurious places to stay - would 100% do again.
It’s an amazing experience the Meektrail team was very helpful and reliable our tour guide George is one of the best, he is very experienced and sharp he understands the animal behavior and ensure we get to witness all the major actions at the reserve. Masai Mara was one of the best trips of my life. Thank you George and the Meektrails team.
This was a trip of a lifetime with Meektrails. We saw every possible animal I could imagine and I was also very impressed with the hundreds of birds we saw. I would say this would be a birders Paradise . All of our accommodations were upscale, and the food was fantastic. But by far our best experience was with our guide Joseph. Not only was he a wonderful, kind human being, but I’ve never met anybody so knowledgeable about animals and birds and their behavior. He was always so upbeat and positive and made our trip so much fun.
We had the absolute BEST safari experience with Meektrails. We visited Nairobi National Park, Amboseli, Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru and Maasai Mara. George was our tour guide and we couldn’t have asked for anyone better. He was welcoming, upbeat, funny and so incredibly knowledgeable about all the animals we encountered. He knew where to find the big cats that hide and always made sure we were able to see them well. We saw the Big Five and so much more. George was patient and kind with our two children (7 and 9) and that made the trip so much less stressful. In terms of planning, Pauline was kind, patient, and responsive. She answered all questions and it was lovely for her to come meet us in person and see us off! I will 100% recommend this company to anyone that wants to come to Kenya for a safari, and also recommend George to be their guide!
It was most memorable trip for us, very well organized by Esther where she made sure everything was included in the trip. Our guide Mr.James was so nice from time he picked us till he dropped us to airport, we had a great time in Safari where we could spot most of the wild life very closely. The stay was amazing with very good resorts/food which was done by them, Definitely I am referring Meektrails #Esther#Mr James to all my friends. Thank you guys for making it so special for us remembering life time.
We had an amazing safari in Masai Mara. Our tour guide, Julius, was great. He was very knowledgable and knew how to find all the animals. We managed to see 9 cheetahs (including one with kill) and too many lions, elephants, etc to count. Valentine at Meektrails was very helpful and quick to reply to any question via email or WhatsApp. You can pay by card through payment link or in person when you arrive. Just be sure to get newly minted USD if using as we had ones that were brand new but minted minted in 2006 and they are useless in Kenya. Easy to pay by card in the end even with 3.5% surcharge.
We arranged our tour through a Tanzanian operator, and Meektrails were contracted to conduct the Kenyan portion of our trip. From the moment he picked us up from our Nairobi hotel, to dropping us off at the Tanzanian border, Jason was an absolutely amazing guide. His knowledge is second to none, and he went above and beyond to make our time with him memorable. I’ll never forget tearing around the Maasai Mara, finding all the amazing animal sightings, or when he noticed some odd behaviour of the animals, and lo and behold we found a Lion nearby that we got to sit and observe all to ourselves. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute we spent together, and cannot thank Jason enough for his hospitality and kindness. We look forward to spending time with Meektrails again, when we return from Tanzania.
We are very enjoy the tour, especially the hotels provided, there are two days upgrade us the hotel at Masai Mara, it is excellent! Thank you my tour coordinator, Mr. Paul! Thank you
It was such an amazing experience in Kenya with our tour guide James! He was professional, patient and very easy to talk with, we were able to see all the Big Fives during our trip thanks to his great knowledge and connections everywhere! The schedule waa smooth and well timed, we also enjoyed the vehicle very much, it was so reliable and comfortable, and of course James driving was great! Peris also helped a lot during our booking process, due to our late book some of our hotels not available but she recommended good replacement and it was great experience! I would definitely recommend the agency, hopefully we could come back again in the future with more family members!
Meektrails is the best, every request we brought up they fulfilled. Victor was a really nice guy, for the first communication, he replied really fast, and the second day arrived, he waited very punctual outside our hotel and picked us up. The guide Patrick, he is an amazing guide, He waited for us on time every day, helped us with our luggage, looked after our bags and took us to buy medicine. He was able to find the animals from far away, and every time there was a sound on the walkie-talkie, he rushed over at full speed and helped us find the best viewing spot, and many times he chose a spot just a few meters away from the animals. The most amazing thing is that many of the reserves are super big and he was able to find exactly where the walkie-talkie said to go, and knew a lot of quick paths to get there. He also has a great relationship with the park staff. The National Nature Reserve closes at 6:30pm, and a few times when we were obsessed with the lions and elephants, he said it was fine to take a little time off, and that they were all good friends.
Amazing safari experience, transparent communication, excellent quality, and very friendly staff. Valentine was very clear in our communications and supported in any adjustments we requested. She also managed to upgrade one of our hotels at no extra cost to us, which allowed us to see the Masai Mara from our bedroom and while having breakfast and dinner Lucas (our guide) was fantastic. Not only did he do his job professionally, he also supported us on any other issues and requests we had. He clearly knows his way around the parks and we were able to see all big 5 with him (and many more!). We are truly thankful for having him us our guide and hope that this message reaches him.
Our recent safari experience in Kenya with Meektrails was absolutely astounding. We were incredibly impressed with the service the team provided and how reasonably priced it was for everything included. The highlight of the trip was undoubtedly celebrating a birthday there—it was beyond special. One of the most remarkable parts of our adventure was the hot air balloon ride, which was simply amazing. Throughout the safari, we managed to spot all the animals we had hoped to see, making every moment unforgettable. Special thanks to Sammy, our experienced tour guide with over 20 years in the field, who made the journey even more insightful and enjoyable. The hotels we stayed at were both very clean and luxurious, adding an extra layer of comfort to our trip. We both really enjoyed the luxurious accommodations, especially at such an affordable price. Communication with the Meektrails team was smooth and easy from beginning to end, making the entire process stress-free. Our heartfelt thanks also go to William, the senior safari consultant, who was with us every step of the way.
Our Kenya safari with Meektrails was smooth and enjoyable from the pre-trip coordination to the entire journey. Their service was truly impressive and satisfying. 1. Consultant I learnt about Meektrails on Chinese social media and the Safaribooking website, where they received excellent reviews. After reaching out via email to several agencies, I decided to go with Meektrails because of their competitive pricing and the inclusion of a free boat safari at Lake Naivasha, which other agencies all charged for extra fees. My consultant, Esther, responded promptly, added me on WeChat (a more convenient way to communicate for me), and handled all our queries and changes efficiently. While hotel accommodations changed from the original plan, we were delighted with our stay at Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge. However, our experience at a lodge in Lake Elementaita (unfortunately, I can't recall the name) was disappointing due to the presence of lake flies and a malfunctioning power system in our room. Though we understand that peak season can make securing the best accommodations difficult, we wish we had more experiences like Sopa Lodge. 2. Tour Guide Our guide, Joseph, has been in the field for 21 years, and his expertise truly shone throughout the trip. He ensured we had the best viewing spots during game drives, patiently explained the behavior of different animals, and taught us how to distinguish between similar species, such as cheetahs and leopards. Joseph’s ability to spot wildlife animal is impressive. For example, at Maasai Mara, he spotted elephants from a distance among a herd of wildebeests. He also briefed us every evening on the next day’s schedule, was always punctual, and even skipped meals to make sure we stayed on schedule. Despite the long hours he spent driving, he remained enthusiastic, saying he loved what he did, which I found admirable. Joseph was also very approachable, always encouraging us to ask questions and sharing insights about Kenya and the Maasai culture. His willingness to engage and his vast knowledge made our trip unforgettable. I’m very grateful for his dedication. 3. Vehicle and Meals We traveled in a spacious six-seater Land Cruiser, which was very comfortable for the three of us. A thoughtful detail was Joseph covering our luggage with a blanket to keep it dust-free. Breakfasts and dinners were provided by the hotels, mostly as buffets, while lunches were packed meals typically consisting of bread, chicken, fruit, and drinks. While we did miss Chinese food, the meals were quite satisfactory.
The first time I stepped into this distant country of Africa, I dedicated it to the Meektrails team. Thank you to the team for the itinerary planning; everything was arranged from the airport pickup. Guide Anthony Mwai was very professional and put the guests' wishes in mind, patiently waiting for us to set up the eSIM network (the SIM card processing outside the airport took a very long time). We expressed that our hope for this trip to Kenya was to see the big cats (lions, leopards, cheetahs), and we were very lucky to see them in the Maasai Mara! I think this also has a big relationship with having good connections with Anthony! Overall, we were very lucky to meet a lively and professional guide, which made my first trip to Africa a very perfect memory. I recommend Meektrails safari!
A simply unforgettable experience, which I will carry in my heart forever. The safari was a succession of emotions: breathtaking landscapes with the chance to admire wonderful animals up close in their natural habitat. A special thanks goes to our guide Anthony Mwai, an extraordinary person, very knowledgeable and always available, who with passion and professionalism made every day unique and special. Thanks to his experience we lived through exciting moments and discovered the true beauty of Africa. I recommend this safari to anyone who wishes to experience an authentic adventure and create memories that will remain etched for a lifetime.
We booked the Kenyan part of our safari through Serengeti Clarity, without knowing that they collaborate with Meektrails Safari in Kenya. But there was really no reason to be dissatisfied. George, our tour guide, was simply the best! He followed up on all our wishes to make the most beautiful safari possible for us. At the same time, he was always super friendly, attentive, and we were able to laugh a lot with him. George was also able to tell us everything about the animals and also brought us closer to Kenyan culture with numerous anecdotes. What we particularly appreciated about George, however, was his respectful manner toward nature - always keeping enough distance to simply observe the animals without scaring them off, but always close enough to be part of it. He also just has a good eye for spotting the smallest creatures in the bush. This way, we were able to see numerous lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, ... in the short time with him. And even the river crossing! We can really recommend the tour with George without reservation!
We had a wonderful safari in the Masai Mara. We saw an incredible number of great animals and had a super time. Our guide George was always helpful, polite, friendly, and generally in a good mood. We had a lot of fun with him. At every stop, he gave us information about the animals and made a great effort to enable us to see many of them. Our wishes were always put into action, and he always provided us with the necessary knowledge we needed to express the right wishes. We would recommend George without reservation if you book with MeekTrails.
From minute one, Paul was concerned about ensuring the trip was tailored to our needs, resolving all kinds of doubts and providing a very close service. They assigned us a guide who spoke Spanish with over 20 years of experience and who was able to empathize with both adults and children. The accommodations were a success. Shiwa Bush Lodge in Lake Nakuru had all the amenities, authentic decor, and a very varied buffet. Lalashe Reserve Lodge in the Masai Mara area had an unbeatable location within a private reserve where animals roam freely, with luxurious staff and meal service, and spectacular views. We will definitely repeat with Meektrail in the future to explore Amboseli!
I had a fantastic trip with my family and was so well taken care of from start to finish.
We had a wonderful time with Meek Trails especially thanks to Bernard Njinu! We felt in good hands. Everything was perfectly organized from start to finish. Thanks to Njinu we got so much information about the animals, nature, Kenya and much more. The nature in Kenya and the animals were just incredibly beautiful. We recommend Meektrail 100%. This was one of the best experiences of our lives that we will never forget!
My wife and I did the 10-day tour. We do not regret choosing this local agency. Our requests have always been handled quickly and efficiently, before and during our trip. We had Eliud as an advisor, who provided us with excellent advice tailored to our needs and made sure all the details were taken into account before we arrived in Kenya. She is a helpful and competent person who always responded quickly. Now let's talk about our guide. We were lucky enough to have Anthony as our guide for the whole ten days. She is a very warm and caring person who immediately puts people at ease. Anthony has a thorough knowledge of the flora and fauna of each park visited. Even outside the parks, he shared anecdotes about the history of places and objects he encountered along the way. His stories are fascinating. As for his driving, he is an excellent driver who has managed all journeys perfectly, both short and long, and has been able to adapt to different types of terrain and routes safely. As for the safari itself, Anthony knows how to find the best places and viewpoints, which was a great help given my passion for wildlife photography. We would also like to emphasize his deep respect for wildlife and animals encountered, a respect we share. This was a very important point for us. We would like to thank Daniel, the director, Eliud, our advisor, Anthony, our guide, and the entire Meektrails team for this extraordinary trip. We highly recommend this agency to anyone looking for an authentic and unforgettable safari experience in Kenya. See you soon! Matilde and Nicola Greco
I don't know how to describe our guide, Habil. Well, people are really super-invincible. Hugely cute, and they've thoughtfully given us each a wooden carving to get along with over the last couple of days. I've found that we're really a very sincere person, and we stayed at the hotel and we were escorted all the way over to tell them about our trip tomorrow, which is really the best guide I've ever had. And Esther has also got us hats and glasses of water, and they're really super nice, really good service.
Our safari in Kenya was simply fantastic – perfectly organized and full of unforgettable moments! A big thank you to Peris, our carer, who helped us incredibly with the planning. She was always available, very friendly and extremely efficient via WhatsApp – a real plus! We stayed in three different accommodations, each beautifully designed in its own way and with great attention to detail. Comfort, location and service – everything was top! A very special praise goes to our guide Habil: super punctual, dedicated and very warm. We felt safe with Him at all times! He really gave everything so that we could see all the animals we wanted – and he succeeded! He also speaks a little but good German, which was really helpful in some moments, especially if you wanted to share something just with him. All in all: an absolutely recommendable experience – professionally organized, warmly accompanied and with memories that last forever
