We stayed here for one night on arrival from Switzerland, before heading out on safari, and it was the right choice. The location is ideal: very close to the airport and to Nairobi National Park, which makes the logistics of the first day much easier. The staff are genuinely friendly and attentive. The room was very comfortable and we recovered well from the journey. On the food side, we had dinner à la carte in the evening and it was excellent, as was breakfast the next morning. A good point for families: the pool and the play area let the kids stretch their legs after the long flight.

Maybe I just got unlucky as my daughters in the room opposite me said their room was quiet but in room 130 it sounded like I had the riser for every room in the building going through my wall. It was like I had twenty fridges turning on and off at various decibel levels all night. Sleep was terrible. Staff were very nice however and buffet breakfast and dinner are both ok.
Another unforgettable school mid-term family day break at Tamarind Tree Hotel! This place never disappoints. From the warm welcome by Irene at reception, who had thoughtfully reserved our table, to the beautiful playground and heated swimming pool (we literally had to force the kids out of the water! 😂), everything was simply perfect. A big thank you to Morris for keeping the kids entertained with his infectious smile and jokes, and to Joy for her impeccable service delivered with genuine warmth and joy. Thank you, Tamarind Tree family, for always making us feel like part of your family. Special appreciation to the father of the house, GM Mr. Musau—I guess his smile has been copied across every department because your service culture is truly unmatched. Kudos to the entire Tamarind Tree team! We have no choice but to keep coming back.
I stayed at this location twice within a months time. The Staff is AMAZING on all fronts, for both visits. It is very quiet & peaceful. My first stay was rm 210, a wonderful room with great AC & a very inviting shower, with perfect water pressure. My 2nd visit was rm 334. Very uncomfortable, the AC was non-existent & the shower has water spraying everywhere, even put of the handheld hose. The water pressure was decent, just an overspray of the water. Maintenance couldn't repair the AC. The Restaurant has a great garden salad, shrimp pasta & salmon. I can not recommend the ribeye steak. It was extremely bland & tough. I couldn't even cut it with the provided steak knife. The Manager took it to "cut it in the kitchen". I still wasn't able to eat it because it was just too tough. It was listed as "aged ribeye"...highly doubtful. Also breakfast & lunch is buffet style. Breakfast has an omelet & waffle station. Need a key card to use the elevator & it will take you directly to your floor. You're not able to access a different floor unless a guest is going to a floor different than yours. They have a live band a few tines a week. Also there is a security screening for scan your bags & packages every time you enter the hotel. Yes, you also go through a body scanner. There's complimentary bottled water. Also every room doesn't have a fridge/cooler. I had one in 210 but not in 334. There isn't a business center but the reception will print your request. Uber is available. I would definitely stay here again when I return to Nairobi.
We recently stayed at Tamarind Tree Hotel for a three-day company retreat, and it was truly a wonderful experience from start to finish. The rooms were luxurious, beautifully maintained, and held to a very high standard. You could really feel the comfort and attention to detail. On our first evening, there was a live band playing incredible music, which created such a vibrant and relaxing atmosphere. It was the perfect way to unwind and enjoy time together as a team. Overall, our stay was memorable, comfortable, and well organized. Tamarind Tree Hotel is definitely a great choice for both corporate retreats and leisure stays.
