Beautiful venue, but disappointing wedding service We chose Muthu Sovereign Suites for our wedding because the property is genuinely beautiful, and there were certainly positives. The food was very good, many of our guests complimented it, and we appreciated the assistance we received with late checkout and returning afterwards to complete our wedding photos. Unfortunately, the overall level of service did not match what we expected after booking 32 rooms and purchasing the hotel’s Platinum wedding package. We were under the clear impression that paying for all 32 rooms would effectively make the hotel ours for the wedding weekend, so it was extremely surprising to discover on the day that unrelated guests were still being accommodated at the property. The biggest disappointment, however, was the service during the wedding itself. Despite paying KES 100,000 corkage, white and sparkling wine were repeatedly served at room temperature, replacement bottles took a very long time to arrive, and the after-party bar was initially set up without a bartender, glasses, ice or mixers. Guests were also having to ask repeatedly for water and coffee, which was then charged to their room. The wedding itself was beautiful and we are grateful to the members of staff who contributed positively. But for a five-star property selling its top-tier wedding package, the overall level of coordination and hospitality should have been significantly better.

We spent a day visiting the tea farms and didn’t want to return to Nairobi as we were heading to Masai Mara. So we stayed here. It was a good decision. The hotel and grounds are beautiful, the pool is good and the food was excellent. We were happy with our stay.
We recently visited Muthu Sovereign Suites for a day pass with my kids, and overall we had a lovely experience. The property is beautiful, peaceful, and family-friendly, and my kids had a great time. The facilities were well maintained, and the atmosphere was relaxing. The only area that could be improved was the service, as it was a bit slow. Other than that, everything else was great. Thank you to the team for a pleasant experience—we look forward to visiting again.
Had the most relaxing aromatherapy massage with Pauline Njoroge last Sunday. From the moment I walked in, she created such a calm and soothing atmosphere. Her technique was gentle yet effective. Pauline is professional, warm, and clearly passionate about wellness. I left feeling lighter, calmer, and fully relaxed. Highly recommend her services to anyone looking for a truly therapeutic and luxurious massage experience.
Overally we had the worst dining experience over our time there. Worst of all was our all inclusive Christmas experience. They did not refill the buffets nor reserve table for us who already had the reservations and were staying in the room. We had to sit in an 8 people table yet we were two and they moved us when they needed a round table for big families. 0/10 experience. It watered down the ambience and beautiful rooms. They left the same lunch buffet for dinner and when we went to eat they had not replenished and most of the dishes were empty. I saw there’s many reviews dating back from years ago about the terrible dining experience . I wish I read them earlier and booked elsewhere. Urggghh talk about wasted money. I’ve never left a bad review anywhere but these ones have to do better. We had to eat potatoes that had not cooked in the middle for Christmas dinner and sleep. I don’t know how to attach videos and pictures here but I will once I figure it out
