Holiday Inn Nairobi Two Rivers Mall, An Ihg Hotel

I recently spent a weekend at Holiday Inn Nairobi Two Rivers Mall, and overall it was a very enjoyable stay with a few areas that could still be improved. Even before I arrived, the experience started on a positive note. I had accidentally booked the wrong dates, expecting to have to cancel and rebook at a higher rate. Instead, the hotel staff kindly amended my reservation and honored the original price. That level of flexibility immediately gave me a great first impression. At check-in, my IHG membership was recognized, and the staff were friendly and professional throughout the stay. Little touches like this always make loyal members feel genuinely welcome. The room is on the compact side, but the interior design works well. Large mirrors create a much greater sense of space, so the room never felt cramped. One thing I did notice was the absence of slippers, which many travellers may expect. When choosing a room, it’s worth knowing that not every “Ferris wheel view” room offers the view you might imagine. The Ferris wheel is actually quite far from the hotel, so it doesn’t become a major feature of the scenery. Since I prefer a quieter environment, I asked whether another room was available. The front desk happily arranged a move to a room overlooking the forest instead. The peaceful greenery was a much better choice for me and made the stay feel surprisingly relaxing despite being connected to one of Nairobi’s busiest shopping malls. I ordered the hotel’s signature burger afternoon, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of my stay. The burger was juicy, well prepared, and generously portioned. Enjoying it while looking over the swimming pool created a relaxed holiday atmosphere that I wasn’t expecting from a city hotel. Breakfast was another pleasant surprise. Rather than simply serving buffet coffee, the staff prepare coffee and egg dishes fresh to order and deliver them directly to your table. Empty plates were cleared quickly without being intrusive, and the breakfast team remained attentive throughout the morning. The only area where I think there is room for improvement is the breakfast selection itself. At first glance, the buffet appears very generous, but after walking around, the actual variety is a little limited. Adding a few more hot dishes, or local Kenyan specialties would make breakfast even more memorable and better match the standards many guests expect from the Holiday Inn brand. Overall, I left with a very positive impression. Friendly staff, excellent IHG recognition, responsive service, a peaceful forest-view option, tasty food, and the convenience of being directly connected to Two Rivers Mall make this a hotel I would happily return to. With a slightly more varied breakfast and a few additional in-room amenities, it would easily earn five stars from me.

The best hotel I have been in Nairobi. Not just the place is safe, clean and offers super good meals; on top all the people working there are kind, smiley and always treat you with professionalism. My last day I even received a beautiful gift from the hotel team. Thank you to all the great people working there, from the guys keeping you safe at the door, all the cleaning personnel, everyone at the kitchen and restaurant and the receptionists! Holiday inn Two rivers is a beautiful location, but more than the look and feel, what really caught me was the kindness of their staff. Such good customer service. I have to mention a few names of exceptionally good staff members that treated me and my team so well. Joyrita, Milkah and Chef Ann. Really kind souls. I would recommend this hotel and I look forward to visiting again.
