Private Tour: 4 Hours Mykonos Island Tour - Like A Local

Eddie was our local tour guide! He contacted us the day before and arranged our hotel pick up. He was on time and provided waters during our drive and had a very comfortable and roomy van. The day started off cloudy and progressively got worse with heavy rain. It did not stop our fun at all! Eddie was knowledgeable and helpful in showing us the ref carpet Mykonos experience sharing all the view, beaches and honest experiences of living on Mykonos. He was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about his beautiful island. At the end of the tour, he even treated us to his favorite baklava bakery (it was delicious) and gave us recommendations for dinner later that evening (we did go to his recommendation, Katarina’s Little Italy and that was a fantastic local meal! 10 out of 10 for Eddie and this tour experience. You can really tell that he loves sharing his knowledge and loves the Mykonos Island and tourist! Highly recommend!

Mykonos is a beautiful place. From the views that are breathtaking to the historic places. We had a wonderful guide that showed us Mykonos through a locals eyes which we loved. Konstantine even walked us through the city to give us a layout of the land. We had a wonderful time.

We had a brief "layover" on Mykonos as we arrived by plane in the afternoon and had a ferry a few hours later. Our tour guide David was great, and able to customize the itinerary around the few things we wanted to see and do and still make it to the ferry port on time. He made it easy on us by helping with our bags, dropping us off near the sights while he parked the car, and of course sharing information and history about the island. We had a great afternoon with David and definitely recommend!

Konstantine was an absolutely fantastic guide who went above and beyond to make our visit to Mykonos unforgettable! His flexibility started before the tour even began! When I texted to let him know we’d gotten off our cruise ship earlier than expected, he happily arranged to pick us up 20 minutes ahead of schedule. That set the tone for the entire day! We explored all of Mykonos Town and some of the surrounding island, and he was incredibly patient and accommodating with our two elderly companions, including my 80-year-old mother-in-law. He adjusted our pace to suit them, made frequent stops so they could sit and rest, and never once made us feel rushed. His thoughtfulness made it possible for all four of us to thoroughly enjoy the experience. One of the best decisions we made was following Konstantine’s advice to visit Mykonos Town FIRST, before heading out to see the monastery. He explained that most tours do the town last, which means the narrow streets and little shops can become incredibly crowded. Thanks to his recommendation, we were able to explore the charming lanes at a much more relaxed pace, which was especially important with our two elderly companions. At the end of our tour, we asked him to drop us off back in town instead of at the cruise ship. WOW, what a difference! The streets were absolutely packed by then, and we were SO glad we’d explored earlier in the day. His local knowledge and smart planning made a huge difference in our experience! What really sets Konstantine apart is his incredible knowledge and genuine passion for history. We learned so much, not just about Mykonos and nearby Delos, but also about Greek history, Constantinople, and the broader region. He loves history, and it shows! He was equally happy discussing modern Greece, its economy, and current events. We had some fascinating conversations throughout the day. Even better were his personal stories. Konstantine has lived on Mykonos his entire life, and we loved hearing about his childhood growing up on the island and how things have changed over the years. One of my favorite stories was about his family’s olive trees, passed down through generations, and how he still makes his own olive oil using his grandfather’s secret recipe. These are the kinds of experiences and conversations you simply don’t get from a guidebook! Konstantine is also just an incredibly friendly, kindhearted person. He even stopped to help lost tourists find their way, and when we visited the monastery, he practically became the unofficial tour guide for everyone who walked in! A few other tourists stopped to listen to his fascinating explanations, and he happily welcomed them into the conversation. LOL! His enthusiasm for sharing his knowledge is contagious, and it’s clear he genuinely enjoys what he does. He also gave us excellent recommendations for local food, including where to find the best gyro in town. And on our way back from visiting the monastery, he made a special stop at his favorite bakery to get us some delicious baklava. Yum! Just another example of how he went above and beyond. I cannot emphasize enough how valuable it is to have a knowledgeable local guide when exploring Mykonos Town! The narrow, winding alleys are absolutely charming but incredibly confusing. Konstantine explained that they were intentionally designed as a maze to help protect the town from pirate attacks centuries ago. We passed numerous couples looking completely lost while trying to navigate with Google Maps. Unfortunately, Google Maps doesn’t accurately recognize many of the tiny lanes and passageways, and GPS signals can be unreliable among the tightly packed buildings. Having Konstantine lead us through this beautiful maze meant we could simply enjoy exploring instead of worrying about getting lost! One quick note about transportation: Our group of four traveled in a very nice Mercedes sedan, which worked fine for us with three smaller women in the back and my husband up front. If you need or expect a minivan or larger SUV, just confirm the vehicle type with the tour company beforehand. Overall, this was a wonderful experience, and Konstantine made it truly memorable. His warmth, flexibility, fascinating stories, deep knowledge, and genuine love for his island made this so much more than an ordinary sightseeing tour. If you’re visiting Mykonos, I highly recommend booking a tour with Konstantine. You won’t regret it!

Our tour of Mykonos was one of the best tours that we had on our 11 day cruise. Our driver Kaloudio was the best he had Fantastic communication skills great customer service extremely knowledgeable. Knew a great deal of history. It just made for a fantastic experience. I just can’t say enough about him. We came away with a very good exposure to Mykonos I urge anyone to take this tour with our driver. I highly recommend him

Excellent private tour of the island of Mykonos. Klaudio our tour guide was informative, pleasant and easy to converse with. The private tour was definitely worth it. Most of the stops were not on the tour bus route and it's nice not to standing in crowds all day.

David was Amazing on our private tour!! He took us to all the best places to see on the island including taking us to a few private beaches so we could decide where to go after the tour. We had Konstantine as our guide for our private tour of Mykonos. He picked us up promptly at our meeting place and gave us a very interesting tour of the main part of the city for about an hour and a half. We then got in his car and drove around the island for another two and a half hours. We saw so much and he was so knowledgeable about the area, its history, and current concerns. We thought it was a fabulous excursion and the perfect way to learn about Mykonos.

One of the highlights was a stop at a local bakery, where we picked up delicious cookies. But David went above and beyond when he surprised our entire group with baklava! I honestly had no idea baklava could taste that good. We all agreed it was the best we had ever tasted! What a thoughtful gesture that made an already wonderful day even more special. What truly set David apart was his ability to make the tour both educational and fun. He shared interesting stories, answered questions, and made sure we experienced more than just the typical tourist attractions. His warmth, sense of humor, and thoughtfulness made us feel like we were exploring the island with a friend rather than simply taking a tour. Our time seeing Mykonos was unbelievable! Every area we went we learned the history of Mykonos and the passion our guide, Konstantime, has for this island. From old town to seeing Delios to the light house the conversation was vibrant and enjoyable. The attention to details as we saw new areas and asked questions about the island was so great. You must get Fotis for a guide! He was wonderful in accommodating our group and a family member with limited mobility. Fotis got us local fruits, cheese and coffee to try while showing us his beautiful island. It was a wonderful day and we highly recommend it!
