Wadi Shab And Bimmah Sinkhole Full Day Tour

We booked the tour and the communication prior to the tour was amazing. Mohammed was our guide and he could not have been more hospitable, friendly and helpful and catered for everyone’s needs on the tour. The whole day was well thought out. This was an amazing day trip and being able to swim though the scenery was fantastic. I would 100% recommend this tour and this particular tour company! 10/10 experience!

Everything was fine - plenty of water on the bus to make sure everyone stayed hydrated. The hiking speed was fully aligned to accommodate slow walkers. The challenge is the heat, not the terrain. I wouldn't recommend the trip for people who can't swim - the cave does require some swimming. Great option for solo travellers who don't drive.

I had an absolutely great day, thanks to good communication and sufficient information given prior to the trip. Everything was so well organised, and I was able to full enjoy the natural pools of Wadi Shab. We were only able to have packaged snacks before visiting the sinkhole because restaurants weren't open in the day due to Ramadan, otherwise, I'd say it's pretty much a perfect day. Mohammed was the perfect guide for this trip as he guided us through multiple pools to reach the cave, where we secured some great videos diving from the rock. He knows the place inside out so can make the experience extra adventurous. It's a good workout as well with the scenic hike and swimming.

This is truly a must-see if you're in the world, and when you have an excellent guide like Rachid, it's absolutely fantastic! Be sure to be in excellent physical condition and wear water shoes with a good grip, as the rocks can be very slippery, but the scenery and swimming in this Whadi make it well worth it. Even though it was Ramadan, we still got a delicious hot lunch to eat in the van. Our group was 10, which was ideal. Thanks again to Rachid for guiding us safely through everything. The stop at the sinkhole was nice to stretch your legs, but it's certainly not a must.

Highly recommend both of these sights and tour company. Felt very looked after. Definitely buy the water shoes.

We booked out tour through GidOman and had the pleasure of having Rashid as our guide for thr day. We were part of a larger group, and Rashid was incredibly personable, professional, friendly, and charming. Despite there being some weaker swimmer in the griup, he remained patient throughout and made sure everyone felt safe and supported. Rashis is a credit to GidOman. To top it all off, he kindly treated the whole group to ice cream after a long day exploring the Wadi's and the Sinkhole-such a thoughtful gesture that made the experience even more memorable!

Great views - Abdullah was a fab guide! Recommend. Feb was a good time - not too hot or crowded. No complaints!

Wadi Shab in itself is very beautiful, so the walking and swimming offers you amazing views. Besides that our guide Mahmood took really good care of us throughout the whole day. I was even more impressed when I saw him collect garbage from Wadi. He explained to me that he and his colleagues do this every day. That is admirable from them, but sad that they have to do this every day. Unfortunately there is quite a lot of trash around, here and there. I encourage everyone to take your garbage with you and do not leave it in the nature.

Every aspect of this trip was excellent. From ease of booking to the pick up at my hotel & then the day itself - it was all slick, well organised & brilliant fun. Abdullah our guide was so polite, friendly & kind. He made a huge effort to ensure the tour went smoothly & safely. He had a great sense of humour too. I’m so grateful for his efforts, he really helped make this trip a truly unforgettable experience. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this tour, it was excellent value for money (the lunch was tasty too) & great fun.

It’s a really good tour with an excellent guide. It’s worth booking the private option if you can. You go at your own pace. The hike is exhilarating and the swim is something else.

We went on a private tour with the best guide ever, Muhannad. We went to wadi Shab and bimmah sink hole. Muhannad knows every rock and plant, he also gave us Omani history lessons and made sure we got to experience the best! We got so much more than we payed for Muhannad is a very special guide and he speaks English absolutely flawless! He also had the coolest car in Oman! ♥️

Excellent tour with Muhannad. The tour is a longish 10 hour plus duration from Muscat. Highly recommended if you are physically fit and ok to hike thru uneven rocks. The highlight was swimming at wadi shab. Great coordination by the company, comfortable bus ÷ great lunch.

The tour guide was very nice and he lead attendees properly and gently. He cared all attendees and kept entertaining people until the end even though we were tired. I usually don't join group tours. However I felt I would challenge again if tour guides are like him. He carefully talked with people to minimize the anticipation including me, The experience in Wadi Shab was fantastic and was much more than my expectation. Beautiful and exciting. I just though one to be improved below. Prenotification was just one day before and I purchased swimming shows, water shield bug already. I won't buy those if I knew those could be purchased or lent. I heard a Vietnamese lade didn't swim because she said there were too many people swimming. I guess a lot of Vietnamese can't swim and had no confidence to swim among those a lot of people. Actually the experience was much challenging that I thought. I could enjoy it but it might not be easy for people who don't swim so well. This is just my point of views because I believe she could claim it.

Oman is an amazing country with beautiful nature, rich culture, and kind people. Wadi Shab is a natural wonder you absolutely have to visit (better go early to avoid the crowds). Abdullah is the best guide! Huge thanks to him for everything.

Today we went to Wadi Shab with our guide Mohammed Aldighaishi, and let’s be honest — the views were amazing, but Mohammed stole the show. From the first minute, he had everyone laughing and feeling like part of the group. He’s the kind of guide who gives you facts, jokes, encouragement, and good vibes all at the same time. If there was an Olympic sport for guiding, Mohammed would take gold 🥇. He made sure everyone was safe, comfortable, and having fun — whether you were hiking like a pro or stopping every five minutes to catch your breath (no judgement 😅). The day was full of laughs, great energy, and unforgettable moments. Wadi Shab was absolutely stunning, but having Mohammed Aldighaishi as our guide made it even better. We will 100% rebook with the same company again — preferably with Mohammed, because now we know the standard. Highly recommended if you want an adventure, amazing views, and a guide who feels more like a comedian with a backpack 😄🌴

British female tourist going solo. Had an amazing time today and Mohammed was an excellent guide. Met a lovely group of people from all over the world, everyone very calm and friendly. Saw some amazing views, hiked, swam, ate traditional Omani feast and had Omani coffee with rosewater in (very delicious). Felt very safe throughout. There’s swimming needed for some parts of Wadi Al Shab but life jackets are available for just 1 or 2 rial nearby. HIGHLY RECOMMEND LIFE JACKET: I’m an OK swimmer but in an indoor pool is very different from on slippery rocks outdoors! Thank you Mohammed for a great day :)

We had a fantastic day with Mohammed Aldighaishi - what a funny man :) All was well organised, we enjoyed the hiking and the swimming, took lots of photos and videos. The walking pace is quite fast, but it was fine for us.

Great day tour from Muscat. The scenery was gorgeous and the hike through the canyon and then the swim in the wadi provided a good amount of exercise, which is what we were after. The tour was well organised and the communication was seemless. We were very happy overall.

This company is a complete SCAM!!! I put 5 star so my True reviews will still be posted as they auto-delete non-5 star reviews They are out there to scam your money . Hotel room not included watch out!!!! Your 5 day tour in Oman , does not include any hotel room and you need to book that on your own. This is a five day for Tours is shocking to me that it does not even include a hotel room. The tour operator asked us to book a most expensive room in the city of Muscat. Of the five days three days does not include food or meal. You’re on your own. on the last thing when you’re about to go to airport, they purposely drop you off at the airport lol little bit over an hour and a half so ensure that you will miss your flight going back home . They refuse to offer a refund for the two tours we did not take . They failed to inform their customers that hotel rooms are not included during the entire duration of the tour . Every single day is considered an independent tour with a local tour operator . Your be returned back to your hotel at the end of the day that you pay on your own despite already paying full amount for the package tour. On our first day of the tour GitOman did not inform us the pick up time until 20 minutes prior to the tour. They said they sent the confirmation to the wrong number and assumed we received it ??? Shouldn’t they send an email telling their clients the pick up time and request a response from their client highly irresponsible. This GitOman Tours operator is a complete scam. They just want your money., when we ask them to drop us off at the airport at the earlier time they suggest a more expensive private tour and try to scam us additional US$150 for their convenience. Everything about the tourist scamming more money out of you. You are a money tree they will do anything to get more money without any service back. Do not under any circumstance use this operator , they just want your money they don’t care anything about you. They will purposely mess the customer with the pick up time and drop off time to make your life miserable..

Muhammed was our guide and we had the best possible treatment ever.He took care of us whole the trip and was verry funny and reliable...at the end of the day we felt happy and fullfilled....we recommend our guide if you want a special tretment

Very timely pick up, clean bus, and a great tour guide, Muhannad. The wadi was beautiful. The hike itself was easy, a couple narrow and slippery spots but that was fine. Once you get to the swimming portion, it can be challenging at times because of very slippery and sharp rocks, and some areas are pretty deep. I think water shoes are a MUST. There are some for sale or rent right outside the entrance. If you are not a 100% confident with your swimming, rent a life jacket. Because even as an avid swimmer I got tired in some sections without a life jacket. Gorgeous views and great adventure. The Bimmah sinkhole after was okay but it was hard to compare it to the beauty of the wadi. Highly recommend this tour

We had a fantastic day exploring Muscat, the Wadi, and the sinkhole with Mahmood as our private guide. He was incredibly friendly from the moment we met him and made us feel completely at ease throughout the entire tour. What really stood out was Mahmood's knowledge of Omani history and the region. He didn't just show us the sights - he brought everything to life with fascinating stories and explanations that gave us a real understanding of Oman's rich heritage and culture. You could tell he genuinely loves sharing his country with visitors. Beyond being knowledgeable, Mahmood was very polite and considerate, making sure we were comfortable and happy the whole time. His warm personality made the experience even more enjoyable. The company is great, and our guide Qais was amazing! Wadi shab and the sinkhole was of course absolutely beautiful and worth the trip, and going with Qais and Gidoman Tours elevated the experience. Absolutely recommend this!

This good value and fun tour make it a must do in Oman. Our guide is Mr Abdulrahman, a genuinely nice man. He was very friendly and helpful. He has good English command. This is important as the tour can be a bit adventurous. Also, the explanation about the Wadi and the sinkhole enhances your appreciation of what you are seeing. We were also blessed with a good group of tour group companions. We got to the Wadi. Transported by a boat, shortly. Then hiked 30-40min. Can be a bit tricky for some people at my age as parts can be slippery in the morning but my wife and I managed relatively well. The view and the swims are definitely worth it. At the water hole, the swims were refreshing and relaxing. It’s fresh water and parts can be deep (20m), so if you are not a strong swimmer, you must rent the life jackets. The waterproof mobile phone case is also essential. The views in the lake and cave are definitely worth carrying your camera with you while swimming. The only comment is the crowd - (the tour guide tried his best to avoid the crowd but being one of the top 10 places to visit comes with this trouble of crowd, including some disrespectful tourists who did not follow the rules. Come on, guys, the Omani people are so generous to share their beautiful countries, please respect their customs and culture.

We only did the Wadi Shab part of the tour, but it was definitely worth it. Our guide, Qias, was enthusiastic, energetic, and clearly passionate about what he does, with real care and attention for everyone even for those who found certain parts a bit scary. His friendly and genuine way of engaging with people made the experience feel extra personal and welcoming.

Well-organized, timely pick-up, very proactive and detailed communication beforehand. The tour guide was kind, knew the tour well and made sure we were all fine and informed at all times. The early arrival at the Wadi allows for a less crowded experience even in the high season. The included lunch is a teal convenience. If, like me, you’re on the more clumsy side, make sure your shoes have a strong grin, or even consider bringing a hiking pole. Some passages are rocky and slippery.

I absolutely loved the trip. Wadi Shab was just beyond beautiful. Not a tricky hike but it is a good hour to get to the pools. It’s very slippery so make sure you’re wearing proper shoes (unlike me who decided it was a good day to wear flip flops). Great communication the day before trip - sending a WhatsApp message confirming the time for pick up and things you should pack. Lunch not great but seemed to be a popular spot with other tour groups. A huge thank you to Mazin - he was so kind and helpful throughout the tour. Definitely one to book if you’re in Muscat!

Well where do I start! If you do not book this then you can only kick yourself! From start to finish this trip was the best I’ve been on. We had an amazing tour guide Abdullah who was super fun and created great rapport. The views were absolutely breath taking and you are given fantastic instructions before hand. They also served food in between the two events which was of real good quality! Can’t say I’ve spent money on anything better. Don’t even think twice and just book. You can thank me later.

From.pickup at hotel to Wadi Shab and then an amazing lunch and then to Bimmah sink-hole! Wadi Shab is an easy hike and left by an amazing guide called Rasheed who always had water ready and answered all our questions as well as provided such interesting, fun info along the way. A stand-up guide. So so glad I did this trip!

This was a great trip to see and experience something quite special. We were blessed with a really good guide called Mahmood who looked after us very well. Mahmood was very kind and informative, he was very passionate about his country and culture. I think that you need a reasonable level of fitness to do this trip and it’s certainly worth the effort.

Beautiful place. Better grab a safe jacket if not strong swimmer. Also couple of water bottles. Swimming shoes is a must, stones are slippery. The whole experience is worth it. You will be swimming from through natural pools with very clear turquoise waters.

I had an amazing experience on the guided tour of Wadi Shab and the Sinkhole in Muscat. Our guide, Abdul Rahman, was truly exceptional. From the very beginning, he was warm, friendly, and made sure everyone felt comfortable. A definite must in Oman. Wadi Shab is beautiful and relaxing. Just be prepared to walk in the heat depending on what time of year you visit!

We booked the private tour and it was absolutely incredible. Our guide Muhannad was honestly fantastic and made the day so much fun for us! He really was so friendly, easy going and willing to accommodate all our needs (for example the pace of hike, swimming time, photos on request) and answered all the questions we had which made for a very engaging day. He was also mindful to suggest that we try to move ahead of the crowds to enjoy the Wadi and nature more which was a very nice touch and enhanced our experience. Couldn’t recommend the tour enough and in particular Muhannad (thank you!) We really enjoyed the car he drove us in for the day too!

Challenging and fun hike. Great to take in all the sights and have some fun doing it! A must do in Oman. Jamal was brilliant and such a friendly guide, loved spending the day with him.

I have taken a lot of day tours in different location, and this is definitely one of the best! Our guide Mahmood is awesome! He is very engaging, kept the day fun, and going beyond what is expected! This could be a physically demanding journey in the heat, but every bit of it is well worth it. Swimming in the wadi is an unique experience. I would recommend everyone to rent a life jacket to save some energy as you would be swimming against the current. ( I survived without that but also regret not renting one, especially when I was inside the cave).
