Private Half-day Tour In Muscat

Driver was late. We called and he showed up 30 minutes later- over an hour after the time they said. He did not tell us anything about the city as we were driving and was on his phone most of the time. Car was littered with empty and half drunk water bottles. We ended the tour early just to get away as our daughters were scared. He didn’t give any insight or information AT ALL.

This tour was very good and interesting. Mazen provided a lot of insight into not only what we were seeing but also some context for Omani culture. It was also quite flexible to focus more on things of interest and skip things that were less so. We had a great time. We were not happy, however, with Trip Advisor. We booked this trip for two days earlier and were not told the Opera House and the Grand Mosque were not open on Fridays. The tour operator was helpful in moving it to Sunday - our last available day in Oman. Trip Advisor and its partners need to pay closer attention to calendars when providing "Availability" on their website.

This trip was perfect for a short yet insightful discovery of the city. Very convenient, picked up from and to the airport. Ahmed my guide, was very helpful and easy going. Very helpful either by explaining and or asking help from people in charge of the place of interest. Even took me to a local food place to grab an authentic, where locals eat, delicious and affordable place. Highly recommended 101 %. One can also book a tour straight from the company. Communication with the company too was fast and efficient even I booked literally just hours before the trip.

A wonderful day trip to Muscat's famous monuments and places. Our guide picked us up at our hotel and showed us around, informing us on Omani culture and history. We visited all of the famous spots of Muscat. I strongly recommend this field trip.

Our guide Nasser was a friendly guide. He gave several hints and explained all the sites. We extended to a full day tour in Nizwa.

I had the pleasure of enjoying a half a day trip in Muscat and Ali was my guide. Very knowledgeable and very patient, he even helped me get better prices at the souq. The tour is well planned and you are at your own pace to explore. Highly recommend!

We contacted Nasser via what’s app and he gave us a very good deal on trip to Nizwa and jebel Akhdar .He was on time to pick us and extremely efficient. No hidden cost with him as he also did not push to buy anything . Besides speaking fluent English he knew the facts and history of Oman too well . Do not even think twice before booking tours with him .

Nasser was absolutely amazing. In 5+ hours we covered Omani history, every sight in Muscat and spoke at length about Omani culture and history. I had never been here before and he was just the introduction I needed to Omani history and culture. And as usual, Omani hospitality and culture preceded itself along with beautiful deeply rooted and mixed history and gorgeous architecture that combined traditional Islamic with European such as with the opera house. Highly recommend!!

Very nice round trip in Muscat. Nasser was a very pleasant tour guide. We enjoyed a full guide through the Sultans Mosque. The opera house. Local sweets store. The Royal museum with a very nice history review. The Royal palace. Mutrah Souq was not interesting for us but may be for others. A very nice part for us was an improvised ending at a genuine omani restaurant.

My family of 6 adults had a long transit time in Muscat so we decided to take a tour rather than sit in the airport for 9 hours. It was a great decision. Our wonderful driver Nasser picked us up at the airport and took us to see all of Muscats beautiful sites. When we asked to have lunch he took us to a beautiful restaurant with local food. He explained all of the places we went to and answered all of our questions. At the end of the day he dropped us back at the airport for our flight home. He was helpful, polite and funny! Our guide Salim collected us on time from the cruise port and took us to the main highlights of Muscat city. We visited the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque and Al Ameen Mosque when they were both empty, amazing. Salim was very flexible and ensured that the tour was customised to our interests and timing. Interesting city. Exploring in our small group of 6 people. Driver speaks English, very friendly, audio guide consists, however, only in playing through his mobile phone to 3 sights . Great clean car. The drinks included in the tour according to the description were unfortunately not available, then bought us something ourselves. The mosque cannot be visited inside, only by Muslims- we found it a shame, because that was actually our greatest wish.

Our guide and driver Mazin showed us the highlights of the city. First the beautiful Sultan Qaboos Mosque, then the Opera House and the beach before we walked through the Mutrah Souk. We also visited Mutrah Fort and the palace. Everything at our individual pace. We skipped the museums 😎 Highly recommended.

Lovely trip where we saw many sights in Muscat. The view was beautiful over the city from “fortress”. The basar Muttrah Souk was exciting to explore. The opera house and the sultan's palace were beautiful and definitely worth a visit.

El tour efectivamente fue privado e íbamos nosotros solos en un coche con el conductor/guía que fue super amable y nos permitió visitar cada uno de los lugares sin meternos prisa. Tienes que defenderte algo en ingles ya que el conductor/guía no hablaba nada español. La audioguía en español consiste en que te pone una grabación durante el trayecto en coche explicando un poco cada uno de los lugares que vas a visitar.

We saw the most important attractions and had enough time to take photos and admire them. Our very nice tour guide described everything to us and showed us more about what was planned. We were all impressed by the beautiful city of Muscat. Unfortunately, our guide was just a driver. We expected to learn a lot more. The vehicle and timing were perfect.

The car was not ideal for 5 people (family with 3 grown-up children), but what was much more disappointing was that it was a taxi ride and nothing more. Little was explained, we were mostly sent off alone. If you want to find out something, then don't book. Abdulah didn't seem to have any interest at all. Don't book!!!!!
