We had the most wonderful experience in Muscat with Aya as our guide. From the very start, even from the initial message confirming the start time and pick up, she was warm, friendly and full of positive energy - and that feeling stayed with us for the entire tour. Although it was booked as a half-day city tour, Aya was incredibly flexible and generous with her time. She adjusted the schedule so we could visit the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque first, and she made sure we had enough time at every stop without ever making us feel rushed. That kind of thoughtfulness and dedication is rare. Aya was knowledgeable and informative, but what really stood out was how genuine and authentic she is. She didn’t just recite facts, she shared insights about Omani culture, daily life, music, family traditions and modern Muscat in a way that made everything feel alive and personal. She answered all of our many questions patiently and thoughtfully. She even introduced us to Omani chips and cheese (which we are still thinking about how we can get these back at home), helped us navigate and haggle in Mutrah Souq, and made the entire experience feel relaxed and joyful. We also bonded over cats, music and life in general — it felt less like a formal tour and more like being shown around by a very kind and wise friend. Aya represents Oman beautifully and we feel very lucky to have had her as our guide. If you are visiting Muscat, we cannot recommend Aya highly enough. Truly exceptional. Thanks :)
Right from the weather to the roads to the sightseeing to the driver to the local people to the masala chai everything was very good. We had a great time.
My wife and I took a fantastic tour of Muscat on our first day in Oman! We couldn't have started any better: an excellent, knowledgeable, and kind guide showed us the best of the city in the best possible way! Thanks for the great memories, Dario and Rossella.
Have a private Muscat experience with no hassle, our guide, Juma, was very professional, friendly and knowledgeable.
Great day, great guide! My guide AkRAM, was very knowledgable about the city, and took great care of me. He showed me around the city was polite and just made the day for relaxing and enjoyable time.
Nimras picked me up from my hotel on time and in a comfortable car. We went to all places scheduled for the tour and he provided great insite at each location. He spoke English well and he gave me an overview of life in Onan, as well as the history of the country and the current and past Sultan. Since my ability to walk is not great these days, he was quite considerate, and stayed at my pace of walking. Overall, a great tour with a great guide.
Without a doubt, OMAN is one of my best trip of my life so far (in Muscat and Nizwa in OMAN)! It’s such a beautiful country that I fell in love with the place straight away. It has amazing views and it is so diverse, I cannot categorize it as a desert country. Special mentions of my tour: a) tour of city of Muscat – daytime and nighttime tour is a MUST. Muscat is a unique, beautiful city that blends ancient culture and modern architecture, with historical forts, mosques, souq, and more; b) my visit to Oman’s oldest city, Nizwa, famous for its historical castle, also its forts, towers, and ancient mosques, as well as its markets and style of buildings. A MUST VISIT when traveling to Oman. It will not disappoint! c) the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque in Muscat, the largest mosque and star attraction in Oman, located in the capital city of Muscat. It's an architectural delight, and is one of the prettiest mosques I’ve seen and I’ve seen many mosques during my many travels all over the world; d) the Omani food – it’s unique, delicious fusion of flavors is memorable. I was warmly welcomed by Jumah, my tour guide. The tours and Jumah and his colleague, Nibras, who went with me to Nizwa, were extremely friendly and professional and were very flexible (I asked to make many stops for photos, for me to savor the beautiful, unique sceneries and the experience of each site, etc. Jumah and Nibras have warm personalities and were patient with me. I truly appreciate their informative and engaging style who shared rich insights into the country's heritage and traditions. Jumah and Nibras were amazing and deserve a special THANK YOU! I recommend Jumah and Nibras to everyone! It’s my first visit to Oman and it was a truly an unforgettable moment. I hope to go back to Oman one day!
It was nice to know the administration centre of the town. But I thought we would visit. The grand mosque a the opera house, but we didn’t. First, the guide to us to a souk and the proposed us to take a te or coffee somewhere. Time was running, night fell and only poor external photos at dark. The driver wasn’t a guide, but a nice guy.
Excellent service! Our guide Mr. Akram Abu Qaboos was very good at taking us to different places & giving a background. Friendly & professional!

This is not a tour so it should not be sold as such. There is no guide, there is just a driver that stops at various locations and you get off and tour yourself. It's basically just a taxi service. While we enjoyed the sights and oman is beautiful we felt cheated compared to what is promised in the tour description
Had a 15 hrs. layover in Muscat and so booked this tour. Juma, my guide was amazing. He picked me up from the Airport showed me around Muscat patiently. He waited for more than 30+ minutes for me to come out of Airport. He showed all the places listed in the tour, did not impose time limits and even took me to an extra place because I had extra time. He came back and picked me up from there and dropped me back in the Airport. There are no storage services for the carry-on in Muscat Airport and so I stored the carry-on in his car throughout the tour. All-in-all I had one of the most relaxed and pleasant tours thanks for Juma.
Great tour with Juma who was very friendly and helpful. Grand Mosque is outstanding. We also enjoyed the Opera House and Grand Palace
Overall, the tour captain Majeed is very flexible and attentive service transformed our tour into fun and enjoyable. They adjusted the itinerary that suits our preference and accommodates our special requests. Highly recommended for those who has limited time and still wants to maximize it as well.
The tour guide was very helpful, friendly and spoke English. He answered all our questions and we didn’t feel rushed during the 4 hours.
Every thing was perfect, the guide was excellent and he is take me a nice round of Muscat , i recommend it thanks Juma so much for every think.
This was a lovely tour, I had a message the evening before confirming the tour and pick up time. At 8.30am I was met by my guide and we set off on our city tour. It was Friday and during Eid so nothing much was open. We saw the Mosque from outside, the Opera House from outside then went onto the National Museum which was also closed. The Fort was open but I chose not to bother given the 10 OMR charge. The souq was great and the guide gave me as much time as I wanted. He was very hospitable, welcoming and would have gone out of his way if there was anything further I wanted to do.
Prompt communication with punctual pick up from my hotel. It was a great way to see many of the important places Muscat has to offer. My tour was on a Friday during Ramadan so unfortunately the Grand mosque, opera house and museum were closed, but in saying that, I still thoroughly enjoyed the tour, visiting the fort which was open was great.
