We had an unforgettable experience in Oman, and a huge part of that was thanks to our amazing guide, Mr. Mohammed Aldighaishi from Gid Oman. From the very first moment, he made us feel welcome, comfortable, and genuinely cared for. His deep knowledge of Oman’s history, culture, and hidden gems brought every place to life in a way no guidebook ever could. What truly sets Mr. Mohammed apart is his warmth, patience, and passion. He didn’t just show us sights—he shared stories, traditions, and personal insights that made the journey meaningful and memorable. He was always attentive to our needs, flexible with plans, and went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed every moment. Thanks to Mr. Mohammed and Gid Oman, Oman will always hold a special place in our hearts. We highly recommend him and his company to anyone looking for a professional, caring, and exceptional tour experience. 🌟

Mutrah stretches along an attractive corniche of latticed buildings and mosques; it looks spectacular at sunset when the light casts shadows across the serrated crescent of mountains, while pavements, lights and fountains invite an evening stroll
Many people come to Mutrah Corniche just to visit the souq, which retains the chaotic interest of a traditional Arab market albeit housed under modern timber roofing. Shops selling Omani and Indian artefacts together with a few antiques jostle among more traditional textile, hardware and jewellery stores
Al Alam Palace is the ceremonial palace of His Majesty the Sultan. The palace is located in the heart of the Old Muscat, it is surrounded by the Al Jalali and Al Mirani forts and will soon be facing the upcoming National Museum of Oman. Former Sultan’s used to live in a house called Bait Al Alam which was demolished in the early 70s to build this new Palace in its place to be the official residence of the Sultan of Oman.

Had a great trip with Mohammed. He is very polite, positive and courteous and gave us all a great insight into Muscat. He was knowledgeable and answered all of our questions in depth. He arrived on time at my hotel after communicating the pick up time earlier in the day. I found him to be a very safe driver. I would highly recommend this tour.
This was one of the best tours I have been on! The tour guide Mohammed Aldighaisi was knowledgeable, kind, informative, and nice. I really enjoyed being on his tour and learning so much about Oman. I would highly recommend this tour and Mohammed Aldighashi. He is simply the best!
The tour is accurate in its description and is fairly standard. Mohammed did bring a lot of personality and passion in his role and it shows up throughout the tour.
Jamal was a super nice and excellent guide. The length was perfect, we heard interesting details e.g. of Oman and Sultan and had nice time in souq.
Highly recommend this group tour. Highlights are numerous. Loved the Muttrah souque,( probably spelt wrong). and the Opera house and Sultans palace . Won't give more secrets away. Could be that it will not be operating due end of season. Many tours don't operate . I was lucky. Check with operator before booking.. Always enjoy the tours that Viator offer. Many companies to choose from. Muscat like all Gulf countries are well worth visiting
My tour guide this evening was Jamal. Man he is one of a kind. He really knows his stuff and you will feel utterly engrossed by the experience. He speaks five languages so if English isn't your first language you'll be lucky to have him as a guide . All the best brother Jamal الله يوفقك يارب
This was a thoroughly enjoyable and interesting tour of Muscat. Our guide (Jamal ) was very friendly and knowledgeable and made everyone feel welcome from the first minute. This was my first visit to Muscat and this tour was a great way of finding out about the culture and history of the city and the country.
What an amazing tour. Jamal showed me around all the prestigious sights in the city, including Sultan Qaboos Mosque, Alam Alam Palace, Mutrah Fort and Souk. He provided a lot of insight into the rich history of the city and the architecture. We also went for some delicious halwa and Omani coffee. If you have a few hours to spare and want to check out Muscat, this is the way to go
Great tour and enthusiasm by guide. Very detailed and knowledgeable. Everything was timed just perfect.
I did a nice evening tour around the town of Muscat with a professional and friendly guide (Jamal). Mosque, opera, fortress, Sultan residence and suk.
A totally fun experience when the weather is crazy hot. I did the day version as well and worth doing both. And Jamal your hospitality was awesome taking the photos at night was so cool less crowds. While many things are not open the pictures are what you do this one for, with a dinner stop not included but worth doing. They the food the Omani people are awesome and they know hospitality.
Nice highlights of the sights in Muscat, tailored to my preferences. Nice driver/guide and clean car. Good experience if you only have a short time and want to see the highlights in Muscat.
Very friendly and best. We enjoyed the trip. We gave us enough time to see a d take pictures. Thank you
We were unfortunately not picked up by the guide. We arrived on time and waited 45 minutes. The guide had tried to change the agreed start time. We did not receive the message as there is no WiFi in the port. Viator doesn't feel obligated either. We paid for a tour, which unfortunately we did not receive. No more Viator! Extremely unfriendly to customers!
Very nice trip. The buildings in evening lighting are very special. The guide was very nice and tried. His English was very good, so you could easily understand him. That evening it was a group size of 3 people, which made it very individual.
The tour was very relaxed. Mak, our guide was friendly and told a lot about the (outside) visited buildings. We were also very lucky that there was just a national holiday in Oman and so everything was even more illuminated. However, there was a bit of melancholy, as we had no indoor visits. Of course, we were aware of this in advance.
Great visit. Night Muscat is worth a visit. Our Guide was helpful and friendly. I recommend. The mosque is very well developed
The night tour was indescribably beautiful. Jamal, our guide, picked us up at the hotel on time. Jamal knows exactly the right places for great photos and explains the sights we visit.
il tour serale è stato molto interessante soprattutto per la nostra guida locale Jamal, molto simpatica e preparata. Ci ha permesso di conoscere più a fondo la città di Mascate e le sue attrazioni principali.
Jamal was a fantastic chaperone. He accompanied us to see the fantastic city in the evening, making a few small detours to accommodate us. We recommend his company
We booked a tour at Ilya's. Guide Yulia had a wonderful sightseeing tour of Muscat. Yulia is a tour guide, telling a lot of interesting facts about Muscat's past and present. Visited all interesting places: opera, old district of Mathrah, market, fort, former palace of the Sultan, old district where the Sultan studied, etc. On the day of the tour the mosque was closed, Ilya organized a visit on another day. One nuance - the entrance to the fort was paid 4 reais, although it was agreed in advance that there would be no additional costs. It's nice that Yulia presented dates and gave tea to karae at Matrach market. The tour started at 9:00 and ended around 1:00 p.m. Lunch was not part of the program (knew in advance).
