Jose Maldonado - the tour guide is unfortunately insensitive to the hauling up of Jews in Munich. Very startling that someone would do that. I’m a little shaken up right now. To tell you the truth - He said only a few of the Jews went to the concentration camp. Not all. End of the trip this lady and her daughter almost cried - and said that they were shocked he said that. It must have been very personal for them. At which point Jose said that it’s not the part of this tour. But that didn’t prevent him from saying “ we should also talk about the Palestinians “ - horrid.
I've been on a couple tours of Munich before but as it was my partners first time there we decided to do the free walking tour and I'm so happy we did! We were lucky enough to have Ricardo as our guide, he was funny and informative, even in a group he made the tour feel personal. We learned a lot and got a lot of suggestions for things to do and places to eat during our stay. I highly recommend this tour!
Fran is one of the best guides I have ever had (and considering that, working as a guide, I have followed many, many people!!). Fun, open, with an ocean of knowledge, but above all with a lot of humanity and passion for what he does. Always willing to answer everything and making you want to know even more. Infinite thanks and see you soon. ❤️❤️
Thanks to Sara TT for making the tour so interesting and enjoyable despite the rain. And also Angel for making the morning free tour so fun.
I make this comment here and will contact you. I have been doing booked tours for years, among others, with Civitatis, but not alone. I've been managing a multinational hotel company for 30 years. It is true that lately we have detected a decrease in the quality of the tours, but I am Today was, first surreal and then, insulting. We have toured with Juana, from Colombia. The minute I knew it wouldn't go well. That Feeling you sometimes have from someone who doesn't even show up. He has not had a touch with the attendants, it rained, normal in this area, but you can go Cover, He did not guide the attendees, he dragged them without any look in case someone got lost. This has happened in the area of the breweries, we have left several of the group, we (5) other Catalans, an elderly Uruguayan woman and some Mexicans. Faced with such sloppiness, we decided to go to the restaurant we had booked informing some of the others lost. Oh surprise when half an hour later, Juana appears, irritated, airy, sitting at our table asking for explanations. We have told him that at no time has he taken the least care of the group and that we decided, when we missed it, to go to the restaurant that was right in that area. Come on 9-year-old girl and in front of all the people she told us (sitting at our table) that what we had done had a name. I think it's a scandal. My answer was that I was having dinner with my family to please leave the table. And his comments have been getting airy. Sincerely the tour has seemed lacking in j retes, fed up with the list of luxury shops we already have in jests ciudade and lacking rigor with approaches to the whitening of national socialism, not counting some although another lack of respect according to what origins. We have been respectful, we were going to finish the tour and give a low payment and argue why. But it has ended disastrously. We are not like she says, yesterday we gave €40 in the Nuremberg tour we did with a Chilean boy. This attitude in the restaurant is even denounceable. A shame for those of us who have dedicated our lives to Tourism.
It was a paid tour, 19 euros per person, if I remember correctly. Actually, I was expecting more. The guide failed to engage me, although I knew a lot of data and was open to questions. The free tour I did in Munich with another guide did seem more interesting.
The tour of the origins of Nazism in Munich with Cristian was much more than just a history lesson: it was a revealing experience. Cristian went further than expected, not only covering the usual points, but expanding the tour with additional venues and spending more time than anticipated to make sure everyone understood the magnitude of the events discussed. His passion and knowledge were evident in every explanation. He took us through the most important corners of Munich related to the rise of Nazism, from the first party meetings to the lesser-known monuments but crucial to understanding the historical context. What made this tour special was Cristian’s ability to connect historical facts with the emotions and moral dilemmas that still resonate today. Although the tour was supposed to end at a specific time, Cristian continued to not look at the clock, offering more details, visiting more places and making sure the group was fully immersed in history. The manner in which Cristian conducted the tour was admirable: always attentive, willing to answer any questions, and with exceptional clarity in his speech. It is evident that for him, it is not only a job, but a true calling. If you are in Munich, you cannot miss this unique opportunity to learn about such an important part of history, guided by someone who really gives 110%.
A Great Tour with a Great Guide! We toured the Third Reich with Idoia and she was a great Guide. The tour is super complete and she gets it enjoyable and very instructive. Throughout the tour he narrates the history of the third Reich linked to Munich with many stories that do not appear in other guides. He is very responsible and knows in detail the history of the city. 100% recommended!
We did two tours with Fran! The free tour and the Nazism tour! Very good both! Fran an excellent Guide! Informed and entertaining!
Charles the Charming Guide, very didactic without being dense. It was a hot day and the Guide took it into account to improve our comfort. Highly recommended for anyone who is interested in the subject, as it is not in plain sight when touring the city.
We did the freetour with Fran and III Reich with Joan. Both very interesting and at least each in their subject. Fran didactic and enjoyable to tell the city. And Joan a woman really passionate about the history of Germany. Very well formed and very interesting this tour if you like recent history. Highly recommended
We did two tours, one of the city with Fran and another about the third reich with Carlos. They were both fabulous. The two guides are very experienced and cultured. Highly recommended
The walking tour was cancelled, it turned out that I had booked a Spanish-speaking guide. That was not indicated anywhere on the site. The guide promised to return the money, he left a message to his head office in Madrid; no reversal has occurred to date. The amount of €17 can be refunded to NL10 INGB 0002131415. J.D. the count. Thanks in advance.
Very interesting tour of the Munich of the Third Reich. The guide, Fran, demonstrated great knowledge of the history of the first part of the 20th century and transmitted it in a rigorous and entertaining way. He did not hesitate to extend the visit so as not to leave us with any doubts. I think it is an essential visit for anyone visiting Munich.
Our visit was with Sara (Mayoral) and it was an experience out of ten. Very instructive and entertaining, dynamic in the stops and in the interactive, apart from the fact that she is super nice. In the end we were sad that it didn't last longer! 100% recommended if you like the World War 2 theme!
Fran, the Guide, offers an excellently documented and entertaining tour. Three hours of history very well organized and explained in a didactic and entertaining way
After doing a VERY good free tour with them (Sara was the guide) I signed up for the tour about the history of Nazism. Not only did the guide not follow a logical order in the story, but he relativized the impact of the Nazism, he compared it to Latin American governments and it did not stop in almost any of the key places he mentioned. Furthermore, he had no microphone and his explanations could not be heard. To top it off, I brought a PC to show photos and… IT DIDN'T WORK!
Our guide Juan (Puerto Rican) was very friendly and explained everything very well, totally recommended to get to know the center of Munich!!
An essential tour to understand the importance of the city of Munich. Our guide, Idoia, expresses herself wonderfully and in great detail, and has explained the whole story to us in such an interesting way that the 3 hours seemed short. We went with 3 teenagers who were delighted.
A very complete and detailed explanation of the rise of Nazism, seen from a cultural and artistic perspective. Highly recommended
Great, our guide was Carlos, super professional and very aware of the particularities of each one, giving ideas and options and he responded very well and with total sincerity to the questions. I loved!
We did an excellent tour of the III Reich. Our guide, Alejandro, had great knowledge, and brought us closer to the subject from many perspectives, from politics, art, architecture, philosophy, religion... instead of being a mere salad of data. Of the best guides we have had, recommended 100%.
