Julia picked us up promptly at 8:30 and we were off to see the Castles. It was nice having someone drive us that knows the area well. The tours are very timely and well done by the staff at the castles and we felt like having our guide showing us where to go and how things worked was a big plus. Overall a great experience.

We had a great experience on our private tour to Neuschwanstein Castle, Linderhof Palace, and Oberammergau. Our driver and tour guide, David, was excellent. He was very personable, knowledgeable, and easy to talk with throughout the entire day. During the drives, David shared interesting information about the area, its history, and each of the places we were visiting. It made the drive enjoyable and gave us a better understanding of what we were seeing. His recommendation for lunch was also excellent. Neuschwanstein Castle was amazing and definitely something you have to see in person. However, we actually enjoyed Linderhof even more. It is much smaller and feels more like a villa or royal home, but the interior was a definite wow. The detail and craftsmanship were incredibly impressive, and the grounds and gardens were just as impressive. The private tour made the entire day easy and relaxing. The on-time pickup and drop-off right at our hotel was also great and made the day even more convenient. We were able to sit back, enjoy the scenery, and let David take care of everything. Highly recommend this tour and especially David. Sit back, relax, enjoy the drive, and take in all the information and incredible sights along the way!

Tom picked us up promptly at our hotel, and took us to all of the destinations as expected. He waited in line for us while we explored shops to optimize our time on the trip. He knew how to navigate the parks to get us ahead in line. His car was clean, provided water and sat six people comfortably. Very knowledgeable and would book again!

A memorable day trip to Schloss Neuschwanstein with our wonderful tour guide Barbara who was warmth, courteous knowledgeable, passionate and professional. Highly recommended to have Barbara for your private tour. She got enthusiasm in her job and a heart to serve people. A private tour was good that we could do things on our own pace. Both the Fairytale Castle and the Linderhof Palace were worth visiting.

This was an amazing tour from start to finish. Although this tour was a bit pricey, we booked it in order to simplify the logistics of scheduling, taking public transportation, etc. This was especially important since we were traveling with a small group that included two 80 year olds. We were picked up right outside our hotel door. The only thing we had to worry about all day was being on time for our pickup. Once we stepped into the comfortable clean and well air-conditioned van, everything else was taken care of. What made this tour even better was our tour guide Mattis. Not only did he give us information about the history of the castles that we visited, he also chatted with us about German culture, regulations, and what it was alike to grow up and go to school right near the famous Neuschwanstein Castle. He was kind, helpful and considered the needs and abilities of the members of our group. In addition he was an excellent driver, providing us with a smooth and comfortable ride while demonstrating courtesy to other pedestrians, cyclists, and motorists. I have booked a lot of tours and experiences through Viator and this was by far the best! The convenience and personal touches definitely made up for the expense of the trip. Our day trip to Neuschwanstein and Linderhof was a wonderful experience for the teenagers to the grandmother in our party. Sandro, our guide, was exceptional - we learned so much about the history of the beautiful area - his enthusiasm, energy and organization made our tour easy and relaxing. We loved that he took photos of the four of us and his recommendations for restaurants were excellent. I've been on many tours in multiple countries and this was, bar none, the best tour company. I've had other tours where they sneak in extra fees. However, this tour guide ((Mattis) made sure I always knew what to do. He'd take me as close as he could - even to the actual ticket gate if possible for a visit. For Neuschwanstein thre is a part where he can't go, but he walked me through exactly what time to be at the inner gate with my ticket, and what to do, and things not to miss inside. I felt completely at ease. Another company, the guy left me off in the parking lot to figure it out myself! Beyond excellent service. It was the most stress-free experience I had on my dozens of tours. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED tour operator!

Lots of uphill walking and many steps in the castle. There is a horse drawn carriage ride for 8 euro to get you most of the way up the hill.

We had a wonderful tour across Bavaria with Lucas as our driver and guide! We were promptly picked up from our hotel in central Munich for our tour of Neuschwanstein, Lindenhof, and Oberammergau. Lucas was always ready with tidbits of history for each place and perfectly coordinated our tour details and logistics so all we had to do was show up and appreciate the scenery around us! He was more than happy to answer all our questions and took into account any requests we had for the day. I highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to see Bavaria's castles and countryside in a day without having to deal with massive tour groups or transportation and ticket logistics.

This private tour of Neuschwanstein Castle and Linderhof Palace was perfect for our group of six. Our guide and driver, Alessando, was fantastic. He picked us up at our hotel in a clean, comfortable van, and the entire day was very well organized with skip-the-line tickets included. Our travel agent arranged this tour for us, I was unsure how it would be given the cost but we all agreed afterwards it was worth it. We had a wonderful experience with Bruce. Our group was my husband and I, our 2 children under 5 and my mum in her 60’s. Bruce was knowledgeable and had a lot of information on every location but he was also very easy to get along with and the kids loved him. It didn’t feel like a long day as being in a private car you can stop when needed. May was a great time to visit as the crowds were minimal. If you do this tour I highly recommend requesting Bruce as your guide!!

We had an amazing day with Sandro! He was very informative and kept us all on schedule so we were sure to see everything. The castles were fantastic and our whole family enjoyed this day trip. The countryside was beautiful and we liked having a driver so we didn't miss the amazing scenery. He gave us a lot of history of Bavaria and its Kings. He recommended a great place for lunch in Oberammergau. He even made sure we had some extra time at the end of the day for our kids to play in the snow at the last stop. We had been on a river cruise and stayed a few extra days in Munich so this was our last day of our vacation. It was the perfect way to end it. Sandro even went above and beyond helping us reclaim our luggage that had been lost for 10 days from the airline. We mentioned that we had been trying to get our bags that we tracked to Munich airport and he called a friend to help us. He sent messages all day to his friend while we were touring and they were able to find our bags for us before we flew home the next day. We had been trying for 10 days without any luck.

I highly recommend the private tour of the Neuschwanstein and Linderhof palaces. We were picked up on time and driven in warm comfort with an informative guide in Martin. Getting into the palaces was easy and Martin gave us plenty of time at each location for the tours and taking photos. He also took some fabulous photos for us. We booked this tour on a Sunday to Maximize our time in Munich. Julia arrived early at our hotel to pick us up . On our drive she shared useful information about the castles we were visiting and our plan for the day. She helped with family photos through out the day. The Castle and palace tours were given by guides at each location. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see and do as much as they can while Germany. We had a great time.

All the group tours were sold out so we took a chance on the private tour with less than 24 hours after booking. It was worth it! Bruce was a fantastic guide and was flexible with our schedule and interests. We never felt rushed and were able to see the castles and other locations that interested us.
