Hallstatt was awesome. Salzburg was excellent too but unfortunately most stores were closed as it was Easter Monday that we travelled there. Our driver Daniel was amazing !!!
We booked this private day trip expecting just a driver, but it turned out to be so much more thanks to Tomáš. Tomáš truly went above and beyond—friendly, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. Along the journey, he shared interesting insights, made sure we were comfortable at all times, and was very flexible with our pace and stops. It never felt rushed, and we got to fully enjoy the beauty of both Salzburg and Hallstatt. His positive attitude and thoughtful service really made the entire experience special. A very enjoyable tour of Austria. Hallstatt has plenty of character and natural beauty and Salzburg has plenty of great architecture. Our driver/tour guide was great, got us to point A to point B safely, and gave us plenty of flexibility with our schedule. Definitely recommend this for a group of 4-5 friends who want to do a quick skim through Austria for a day alongside their Germany trip.

Great trip! Tomas was very attentive to our needs and was professional in all aspects of his job. Highly recommend this trip, we did Salzburg first which in hindsight should done Hallstatt first only because Hallstatt for the most part closed up at 5:00PM whereas Salzburg stayed open until 9:30…… just something to keep in mind.

Do yourself a favor and book elsewhere. For 1000 you basically get a driver to take you to Salzburg. Driver was very nice but had zero insight or direction on where to go. The Hallstatt portion is another 1.5 hours away and theoperator let us know the day before that the attractions there were closed. When I tried to cancel they wouldn’t let me because I had booked only 24 hours in advance. We didn’t even go to Hallstatt. Bottom line- work with your hotel and get a car and driver. Much cheaper. This listing is very misleading and fraudulent. But once they have your money not much you can do. Be very cautious.
Daniel was very professional and personable. He made me and my husband very comfortable as soon as we met him. Our day trip from Munich to Salzburg and Hallstatt was memorable and it was made possible by proper planning through Viator and of course our very nice driver Daniel. For those who want to save time and do as much with a day trip, this is a perfect way to spend and enjoy your vacation. I suffer from plantar fasciitis and low back pain. Good thing I was able to find this day trip in TripAdvisor two days before our Munich vacation and they communicated very well and accommodated our requests from where and what time to be picked up and places we want to see. Salzburg is beautiful and Hallstatt is magical. Everything was perfect and I would definitely recommend Daniel to my friends and family.

This is the perfect way to expand your travel experience without having to navigate new streets. Andrew knew his way around and was most helpful in pointing us in the right direction, dropping us off right in front of our destination, and being there to pick us up after wandering our way through the city sites.

Our driver took us to Hallstatt first then Salzburg. 10 hours activity completed successfully. Both Hallstatt and Salzburg are of different vibes and beautiful.. Would recommend to do both the town and city.
We had a really nice time. We went to Halstatt first. We wish we had more time there it is a beautiful town. The salt mine was interesting and interactive. We stopped at Salzburg on the way back. Frank out driver was very courteous and an excellent driver.
So my and wife and I booked this after reading some good reviews and we like to do private tours to get a more hands on experience but this was not it at all. Please when booking beforehand please find out who the driver is. We had Lucas as our driver and he was not informative or anything at all. First he tried to talk us out of going to Hallstatt when we booked the tour due to the fact that we wanted to go to Hallstatt. When we told him we wanted to stick with original plans he didn’t seem to like it since it seemed like he didn’t want to drive that far. It a super quiet ride there without any information about anything on the way and he kept asking about personal expenses we have made and not sure what that had to do with anything. He was also driving super fast going over 100mph and 110mph, honking and blinking his lights at other people and getting mad. We didn’t feel safe and again he seemed like he didn’t want to be there in the first place. I gave it a 2 star because at least we got to both places but I would not recommend this tour to anyone else in the future. I have over 50k follower which again is why we do private tours to give our followers more detail info about places we travel to but this is not worth close to $1,000 USD. Rent a car or book with another company. I will demanding a refund since the experience was just not enjoyable at all.
Frank our driver was fantastic, spoke English very well, rolled out the red carpet, did not rush us on our stops, was prompt for the pickups and drops, gave us some good inside knowledge of what to expect and what to go visit

Our driver was nice but could not hold a conversation in English. He would use google translate while trying to drive a manual transmission vehicle on wet, windy mountain roads until we asked him to stop. We had to stop for gas at the beginning of the trip as he did not show up with enough to complete the journey, so 6 people waited for him to fuel up. By the time we got to our second destination Hallstatt, at 4:30, the salt mine tours were done for the day. As we finished seeing the lookout and went to the village all the shops and cafes were closed or closing. He asked why we didn’t go to Hallstatt first. We had no idea the timing or what the proper order was, we just booked the trip. Unless you leave at 6:30 AM this is too much to see in one day. Definitely not worth the money.
Hallstatt was the most incredible place we saw during our stay. Such amazing views in the picturesque town! Mirek our driver was amazing!
