Booked Night Watchman Tour for 05-Sep-2026 20:30 at 22 Marienplatz, Munich. We were present at the meeting point on time. No guide appeared and the merchant's phone was unanswered; Some guides did come for the German tour- they coukd not help us. I emailed the merchant at 20:28 and 21:00 that evening. The service was not provided. I requested a refund on 08-Sep-2026; none received. Unprofessional conduct

My 9 year old son, husband and I really enjoyed our tour with The Nightwatchman. our guide was very knowledgeable. Learning some of the history of Munich was great and walking the old town courts and passages was majestic. We did however think we might get more ghoulish stories which would have made the tour more exciting. We would recommend to others.

Great tour! Perfect itinerary, the time flew by quickly. Lots of information giving a glimpse into what life was like when Munich started to become a city. Highly recommend! Also, navigating was much easier as the Old Town is much less crowded at night.

Couldn’t find the tour guide. Never received a call, email or text saying it changed. Didn’t know until 7 to double check we had printed out the ticket that there was any communication. We called three different numbers to catch up with the guide, no one ever answered or called back. We were at the meet up place and never saw anyone.

The booking page info was in English and the language for the tour was purposely unclear to lure bookings regardless of language preference. When we asked, the host told us German only and made an American joke/insult for a laugh….interesting approach for a tour business.

A really fun tour.. immersive, knowledgeable and a great way to burn off the somewhat heavy Bavarian cuisine.. learned a lot about the city and retained my interest

2 hours full of information around Munich downtown area. Very entertaining presented by a humorous lady. Highly recommended even for natives (like me)

It was a really nice and, for the children, truly exciting tour with many stories from an authentic night watchman who knows how to put the children at the center, get them excited about stories, and win their attention for himself and his tales. A little bit of lively history class on Munich 280 years ago. Thank you very much! My boys, 9 and 10, had a really nice time.

The tour was extremely informative and exciting. I thought it was great that we walked the entire old city wall, as it adds a fascinating part to Munich's cityscape.

In historical attire, with a lantern and halberd, our night watchman leads us through the dark alleys of the old town and brings the history of the city to life. Between Marienplatz and the Frauenkirche, he tells of the plague, executioners, and city gossip from past centuries with dry humor and a lot of detailed knowledge. A wonderfully atmospheric way to get to know Munich beyond the usual tourist paths. Absolute recommendation for anyone who is in the mood for an entertaining and educational evening!

Spent 90 minutes with Fanny around the Frauenkirche with many interesting, funny, and short stories. From 7 to ... it was mega. Price/performance top. The tour was easy to walk and accessible. I will always be happy to recommend this tour. ♡

We had a really lovely evening. You could tell right from the start that our group leader Gerd sees the whole thing not as a job, but as a calling. We learned a lot of interesting new facts about the origin of Munich and its history. In addition, there were a lot of small, amusing side anecdotes about the city. A fascinating journey through the Munich of the past. Our night watchman conveyed a lot of knowledge and involved the people. An entertaining walk through the city. Definitely recommended even for older children.

Price/performance top, our night watchman engaged with the children wonderfully and it was also super informative for us adults, the little surprise with the ghost was so magical and the idea with the little helpers for his night light was simply brilliant. My 2 children (13 and 6 years old) and I really, really enjoyed it. I can recommend it with a clear conscience and would love to book it again anytime.

We had booked the night watchman tour with Moritz von Finstehrenwalde. Despite the extreme temperatures, he gave us a great and exciting insight into Munich city history at various stations. Gladly again the tour and the guide is highly recommended. 😊

The night watchman city tour was super. Great stories; you learn something new about Munich that you didn't know before and had never seen, even though you've walked past it a hundred times. Would do it again anytime, highly recommended.

Yesterday, as a team, we had an old town tour "Out and about with the night watchman" through Munich with Stefanie. We were all thrilled! The tour was excellently designed and offered many interesting insights into the history of the city. We particularly liked how Stefanie conveyed the information with a lot of humor, charm, and vivid stories. This presented the history of Munich in a lively and entertaining way. Despite the summer heat, the city tour was an all-around successful experience for us, during which we not only learned a lot of new things but also laughed a lot together. We can recommend the tour without reservation.

We had the night watchman tour with Michael. Very informative, extremely entertaining and interactive. We were traveling with colleagues from Asia and America and had a lot of fun. We were a part of the Nightwatchmen's Guild for a day and very happy to return.

The tour was nice for my child but unfortunately it did not go to the Frauenkirche as mentioned on the tour, that was a shame...

Ms. Feiler designed the tour with a lot of humor, but also a lot of knowledge and background information. The little stories from people's everyday lives in the past have rounded off the tour superbly!

Night watchman tour: We were traveling with an international group, so the tour was in English. That worked out great. The anecdotes told were very funny and exciting - both for the guests and for locals in the group. Everyone has learned something new. I can only recommend the tours. Because our group was too big for one guide, half of them were on the road with a second. Afterwards, we found that the stories told by the guides were very different – and both were good.

Very successful tour. Our night watchman, was great. Very angsty has picked us all up with her to come to the Middle Ages. With wit and humor, we were conveyed a part of the city's history. Were all 3 thrilled. Would recommend such a guided tour to every Munich visitor.

A very entertaining and extremely exciting guided tour of Munich city centre. As a native of Munich, I was amazed to learn what took place in these squares in the Middle Ages or what was behind certain facade paintings, for example, that I have never noticed in everyday life.

Thank you for the great city tour! We were many participants, about 60 people and sore divided into 2 equal groups. Michael and Ulrike knew every detail and caused astonishment with the most exciting facts and information. So much humor and joy for the story of the two let the 1.5h fly by. We recommend this to anyone who wants to see a slightly different side of Munich. Even the organization went uncomplicated and without difficulties, everything worked great.

Just don't do it in times of the Christmas market!!! 21:00 was a fiasco! No mystique, drunks, just noise and a night watchman going down in all this. Too bad! It's a real rip-off. 19 euros is too much.... or you might even have to suspend as long as there is such a reputation...... was like in the wrong movie.....

Very nice walking tour in the heart of Munich city center with historical information packed into nice and creepy stories. Fanny is a very charming Munich original as a night watchman.

I had already booked the tour longer in advance and was really looking forward to it. Unfortunately, the evening turned into a great disappointment. On the spot, I paid at a guide with long hair, got a sticker and was led by her to a group. Shortly afterwards, the leader of this group told me I was in the wrong group and sent me away. I then tried for half an hour to find the right group, but without success. When I returned to the guide, I felt extremely unwelcome. She kept looking over at me and making it clear that I was not wanted. That was very uncomfortable. Since I was only in Munich for two days, I could really have used my time better. Meanwhile, I reached another guide by phone, who at least tried to help, but in the end, of course, he could do nothing. Unfortunately, I did not receive a refund of the money either. Conclusion: Very disappointing - both organizationally and humanly. Too bad about the time and the money.

We booked the night watchman tour for children as part of a children's birthday party. The night watchman mastered this perfectly with the group of 11 children. Not only did he show an angel patience, he also managed to attract the attention of the kids with exciting stories. We were very pleased.
