What a blast of an experience! Peter was our guide, and I could not imagine a better one! Everything in him was ultra authentic (we had a German speaking tour) clothing and the torch is a given, booking this tour, but the voice, the Bavarian slang from time to time for an emphasis. Interesting insight into the city's history - entertaining and fun, even for 12-year-old teenagers

At the beginning it was a bit difficult for me, as there was so much going on at Marienplatz. We really enjoyed the tour and got a lot of interesting information. I would book this tour again.

I booked a night watchman group tour. Our night watchman Franz was on time at the agreed meeting point and took us back in time. Amazing how much you didn’t know about medieval Munich as a “local”. Our tour lasted two hours and was never boring due to the detailed explanations of our night watchman Franz. On the contrary, in a humorous and funny way, we learned stories, anecdotes and history. It's amazing how much background our nightwatchman had. Despite a very cold night we were all delighted. A great experience, highly recommended. Thank you, Geli and the whole group

Here you can learn a lot of totally interesting things about medieval Munich. About the night watchman profession, dukes, nobles, executioners and torturers. The whole thing coupled with a lot of wit, as well as legends and also creepy Stories. It was a great 2 hours with a "super" night watchman. My absolute recommendation.

The tour was great, I laughed a lot, learned a lot of new things and was made aware of a lot of things that I had never noticed before, although I have been studying in Munich for almost a year and have often been in the area around Marienplatz. In the end I was completely frozen (I would recommend in winter to really wear anything that goes, I had a very warm winter coat on, I should have put a fleece under it), but I didn't regret anything.

Led by an impressively authentic night watchman, this tour offered a fascinating journey into the city's past. Our night watchman was not only a walking encyclopedia of medieval Munich, but also a gifted storyteller. With his historical garb and burning torch in hand, he took us back in time. His deep knowledge and passion for Munich's history brought every stop on the tour to life. You could practically hear the horses' hooves on the cobblestones and see the hustle and bustle of the medieval market in front of you. What was particularly impressive was the way the night watchman combined historical facts with exciting anecdotes and legends. He knew exactly how to captivate the group, whether through scary stories about the plague or fascinating accounts of the lives of commoners and nobles. His humor and charismatic personality made the tour not only informative but also extremely entertaining. The atmosphere created by the flickering torches and the nighttime backdrop of Munich was simply magical. The narrow streets and historic buildings looked even more impressive in the torchlight and it was easy to imagine what life must have been like here many centuries ago. I highly recommend this medieval torchlight tour. It is a must for any history lover and a wonderful way to see Munich from a completely new perspective. It was a super informative night watchman's walk. Our night watchman had a very nice manner, you could listen to him very well. He told us a lot of details about the individual stops in Munich, it was very exciting 🤩 He was also able to calmly and confidently deal with the occasional disturbance from drunk football fans. Yesterday we went on a great tour through medieval Munich at night. Our very friendly night watchman has a huge, well-founded wealth of knowledge. The tour was super exciting and, even though I have been living in Munich for a while now, I was able to learn a lot of interesting facts. Our night watchman and the tour itself are definitely highly recommended! Very authentic and entertaining! PS: The costume is also really impressive ;-)

As a group, we had a great tour in the evening. The general information about the job of night watchman and other professional groups, the presentation - also visually - was really successful and authentic. We learned a lot and were grateful for the great two hours in and around the historic center of Munich. This tour is really recommended.

Very humorous guided tour of medieval Munich. The guide was extremely patient, even with strenuous alcoholic people who repeatedly disturbed the group from the outside (this was always quickly prevented and did not devalue the overall experience). Hats off to him. Recommended for all history lovers!

It was a great guided tour at a fantastic time ;-) as in the evening the city is of course not so crowded and in summer the temperatures are also more bearable. There was some great general information about being a night watchman and the ‘lower occupational groups’ in the Middle Ages, as well as information about medieval Munich. I lacked a ‘spatial idea of the city’, so an explanation of the original city wall, for example, and possibly one or the other night watchman scary story! The time frame of the tour was not mentioned in advance and was unclear even during the tour. Overall, the information was easy to understand and chronologically comprehensible and presented some interesting “Munich medieval toris”. The night watchman was absolutely cool and likeable with his outfit and manner. I can recommend the tour for people who are looking for a little insight into medieval Munich without big tamtam, creeps, touri crowds and eternal running paths.

An excellent, highly recommended night watchman tour of Munich. Our night watchman has brought us closer to the history of Munich and life in the city in the Middle Ages with a lot of knowledge and humor. Even as natives of Munich, who have lived here - with some interruptions - for over 60 years, we have learned a lot of new things again.

We really liked the tour. Just the right mix between history, stories & anecdotes and a bit of scariness. Even our 14 year old boys were fascinated and never bored. Certainly the impressive stature of our night watchman Peter contributed to this, who led us through the tour with a lot of wit and charm. Thank you for a nice evening.
