Charlie was a great host who offered lots of detail on the background of Neuschwanstein Castle and adapted effortlessly to some disruption during our travel. Highly recommend!

Itinerary
This where the tour starts and you meet your guide. After that, it will be a 2 hour journey to Neuschwanstein.
Schloss Neuschwanstein, often known as Germany’s "Cinderella castle," was actually the inspiration for a different Disney story, the ‘Sleeping Beauty’ castle at Disneyland. The entrance fee to the castle is not included (you can pay on the day), but by booking this tour in advance, you’ll receive skip-the-line access to Neuschwanstein so you won’t waste time standing in the ticket queue. The entrance fee to the castle is not included (you can pay on the day), but by booking this tour in advance, you’ll receive skip-the-line access to Neuschwanstein so you won’t waste time standing in the ticket queue. Once inside the enchanting structure, take a tour with a guide, who shares fascinating stories about the reclusive Bavarian king who commissioned a new residence in the 19th century. Thought to be mad, King Ludwig II desired a fantasy castle built in the mountains, an obsessive feat that was still incomplete when he died. Visit the best vantage points for views and photo ops of the castle’s towers, interiors and surrounding scenery such as the lake, gorge and equally beautiful Hohenschwangau Castle.
We also visit famous Mary´s Bridge for the famous view point. This stop is not available if the weather goes below freezing, as the bridge might be closed due to icy floor.
We will return to the starting point to conclude the tour.

Really good day out, bucket list item ticked off for sure. Charlie was very helpful for getting us there and giving us information of Ludwig and the history before we got in. He made sure we knew where we were going and what was coming up with the travel and was accommodating to everyone there. It was also really appreciated so we could manage the walks to and around the castle.
Charlie made things fun and interesting. He was full of knowledge on the history of the area and on where to go. It was completely stress free and would do it again
We had a great time with our group. Lana was a fantastic guide, kept us all going the right direction but not pushy at all. And very informative. And just nice! Navigating the trains would have been impossible without her.
Lana was a very informative and friendly Guide. Sh was interested in individuals interests and suggested attractions to visit in Munich and Bavaria.
We did the day trip from Munich to Neuschwanstein Castle. Our guide Leon was absolutely fantastic and kept up the good vibes all day as well as being super knowledgable about the whole of Bavaria. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to see the sights in this beautiful part of the world!
Jake was amazing so entertaining, constantly said if any questions just ask me. The bus trip was beautiful scenery and great information about castle and history. The driver welcomed us back on bus was so pleasant
My day at Neuschwanstein Castle with Radius Tours was simply unforgettable! Jeremy Teigan, our enthusiastic guide, made the experience even more special. He was so helpful and shared interesting, informative tidbits about the castle and its history. The breathtaking views from the mountain added to the magic! I highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting to witness this fairy-tale wonder!
Lana was amazing :) great personality and very informative. 10/10 would do again. Was raining but worth it.
A great day out. Jake, our guide was extremely knowledgeable, accommodating, and humorous. Bus driver Leonard, extremely smooth and safe driver. Highly recommended.
Lana was our guide and she was great!! She was very knowledgeable and funny. It was a great way to see some of the countryside and the castle and surrounding were beautiful. Great day trip. Would highly recommend!!
What an incredible experience! Our guide, Lana, was fantastic! She shared so many interesting facts and stories, and most importantly, made everyone feel safe, comfortable, and appreciated. Beers on the bus were a great way to kick off the adventure! The town itself was adorable, and I loved grabbing a bite at the local brewery. The castle tour was surprisingly brief, but our guide was excellent, and it was absolutely worth the wait. Some of the best photos from my entire trip came from this experience. Would absolutely do it again!
We really enjoyed our tour with Leon as our tour guide. On the bus ride he informed us of historical info /background. The castle and grounds are beautiful. We also had some time to walk through the town on our own, which we enjoyed.
It was a great day both because of the beautiful country with the mountains in the background we've been driving through, and the experience of getting to and visiting the Castle that made this day so enjoyable. On top of it, we had a great guide. Lana was knowledgeable, funny and helpful.
Our guide Lana was the best! She made the whole trip unforgettable☺️ Easy way to enjoy the castle and everything around it 🏰 Some hiking so wear some good shoes!
We were taken by a private bus - around 50 people total. We thought it was going to be by train but this was actually better and more comfortable. Lana, our tour w, was amazing. I highly recommend getting the castle tickets (you pay extra for them at the travel agency). Really great and beautiful place to visit.
Really lovely spot. Be sure and leave time to walk to the lake. Plenty to do and see so leave time to cover it all.
Really great tour and spent really a great time out at the Castle and the local village. A great opportunity to explore Bavaria from Munich. Charlie was a great tour guide, very informative and was really great at weaving the tale of Ludwig II throughout the trip. Unfortunately rainy but not much could be done to remedy that.
Charlie was such a great guide with fun story telling and made sure to be very clear about meeting locations and times. He was very knowledgeable and helpful with solid recommendations as well! Highly recommend
Great tour! Michal was an awesome guide. Consider departing back to Munich at 530 to give a little more time to eat at a restaurant.
Very disappointing customer service. A train disruption beyond my control delayed my arrival, so I called to explain they refused to wait I offered to catch up with the tour at another stop. The provider refused to accommodate this or reschedule, or refund my paid booking, and the person I spoke with was rude and dismissive. I understand departure schedules, but the complete lack of flexibility or support during a transport disruption beyond my control was unacceptable. I would not recommend this provider for this trip.
My trip to Neuschwanstein was great. It takes about 1 hour and 45 minutes to get there by coach from the Tour office, once you are out of the city the rest of the journey is nice and scenic and our tour guide Lana kept us entertained with some humour as well as some history about King Ludwig II who had the castle built. The tour itself is quite short and strictly scheduled by the castle staff but it is worth it to see inside the castle. Going inside comes with an extra cost of 24 euros, mentioned in the details when you book so be careful not to miss it and have a shock later, you pay it when you check in to the Radius Tours office so they can book the tickets. You don't have to go inside but i'd say it is definitely worth the extra cost, everything inside is authentic and the rooms are beautiful. You aren't allowed to take pictures inside except from the 2nd floor balcony, but you can in the courtyard, and the gift shops inside sell a small book that has pictures of many of the rooms you will see. The location itself is worth the visit, the view of the mountains behind the lake is stunning, and you can walk up to the castle to take pictures for no extra cost. Although not part of this tour, there is another castle close by that you can visit called Hohenschwangau where Ludwig grew up, you can walk around its gardens for free. It was a great day out full of beautiful views and interesting history
Very well organized, Lion knows his stuff. He’s super funny and kept us all entertained!! His recommendations were also great!! Some of the participants were late which put us a little behind but we still got back at a decent time.
What an incredible day..two hours through the Bavarian Countryside to this magical Castle in the Sky! Leon was a wonderful guide who planned rest stops, suggested lunch spots, walking hikes and arranged the castle tour time! I see why Walt Disney created its image in Disneyland. A perfect day out of the city..in comfortable bus with Great Guide -LEON- and driver. A diverse group attended this tour. The drive back was just as beautiful.
Lana the tour guide was amazing. Everything about this excursion was perfect.
Our guide Nick was knowledgeable and a pleasant person. Our bus driver was excellent and I felt safe. Both were concerned with our comfort and experience we received.
We had a wonderful day, that was made possible by our tour guide who spoke clearly and concisely great English. Nick did a wonderful job keeping us all together when needed and explained everything clearly. He even gave us a glass of wine or beer on the bus ride home …..the castle was well worth the visit.
Lana was excellent. She made the day very enjoyable with lots of great information and advice.
Very picturesque Castle. If you have mobility issues I don’t think it would be wise to go. A lot of stairs to climb and no elevator. Inside is not completely finish as Ludwig11 died before completion.
Jeremy was great, full of great information and stories, he new where all the good camera shots
Great experience! Nick was our tour guide and he was very helpful getting us around Neuschwanstein Castle grounds. Everything felt organized and seamless.
This tour was a great way to see the Neuschwanstein Castle. Fast access to the castle plus our very good guide Leon led with precision and humor. We took the shuttle bus up to the castle and Mary's bridge (it was one hell of a climb) and chose to walk down to meet our group at the end of the tour but didn't realize the trip down took 45 minutes. We descended in record time. The views from the castle were spectacular and the history of the castle was intriguing. All in all, this tour was worth the money, and we had a wonderful time.
Our tour guide was a person named Leon who gave a very informative and entertaining discussion about Neuschwanstein Castle and the locale as well as background about Ludwig II.
One of my most memorable tours in Munich! Jeff made it very interesting with the castle history and his sense of humor made me have my attention to 100%. I highly recommend this tour for its fun and history. I wouldn't have learned so much about the castle or had fun if it weren't for this tour. Thank you Jeff for making it memorable one!
A very lovely day! The bus ride in was very smooth and comfortable. Jeremy was friendly and well-informed and regaled us with funny little historical anecdotes about the royals and the castle. The castle is beautiful. Definitely pay the extra 24 euros to take the interior castle tour. It’s wonderfully kooky inside! And definitely take the shuttle up the hill to the castle. (You will need cash.) The whole experience was very relaxed. We had plenty of time to eat and poke around in the shops before the main castle tour. This was the last day of my trip and it ended on a very high note!
Fantastic day, our guide Thomas was so knowledgeable and loved the castle, his passion for Ludwig and Wagner was brilliant. The history of the castle and the inside of the castle is incredible. Shame you can’t take photos of inside.
Amazing day. Charlie was very informative and gave amazing information. He allowed questions and made sure everyone was where they needed to be. Castle tour seemed a bit rushed but was great.
Would defenitely book again in a future tríp. This was well organized with more information from the bus Guide Than from those in-house castle guiles.
Tour Guide Charlie , was incredibly helpful , his knowledge of the castle and its history were ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 Stars – An Outstanding Tour Guide! We had a wonderful tour from Munich to Neuschwanstein Castle, thanks to our fantastic guide, Charlie! Charlie was professional, knowledgeable, friendly and entertaining. His humour and engaging storytelling brought the region’s history to life, while his helpful and approachable nature ensured everyone felt comfortable throughout the day. He made our visit even more memorable, and we highly recommend him! 10 out of 10!
Charlie was an amazing guide, and the tour was so worth the length of the drive from Munich. Highly recommend!
Awesome experience! Thanks Charlie!
Great day - absolutely recommend going. We had Leon! As our guide and he was engaging and super helpful with the day + things to do in Munich
Amazing trip! Took my family, including small kids 7-10 years, and everyone loved this experience. Our tour guide was Leon and he was fun, interactive, and made sure to include everyone at all times. Leon gave very clear instructions so everyone always knew exactly what to do. The trip out is also great/beautiful, and it’s nice to sit back and relax .
A great day! Charlie and Samir picked us up right at 915, we had a very smooth and scenic drive through the countryside, and the village and castle was absolutely gorgeous. I can’t count how many times I said it looked like a painting. Thanks again to Samir for a smooth ride and for Charlie for being a wonderful guide with a wonderful story to tell. 100% would recommend
Loved our side quest to the castle from Munich. Our guide Jeremy was extremely knowledgeable. We walked to our meeting spot from our hotel in Munich. Easy ride, bus was comfortable we had a rest stop going and coming back. Always knew where to meet and where to go while in town.
We had a comfortable bus ride to Neuschwanstein and enjoyed the tour. Charlie was an excellent guide and made the honestly of the region and castle very interesting .
Charlie was a super engaging and fun tour guide. He made the tour fun even on the long drive up to the castle.
Fantastic tour! Tour guide Leon was great and very knowledgeable! The tour gave plenty of time to explore and the bus service was very nice.
Lovely day out visiting the beautiful castle. Our guide Leon was brilliant at showing us the site and helping us get around.
Leon our guide was one of the most enthusiastic and engaging tour guides I've ever had, and we've done quite a few with you. 100% positive energy. Tour itself took us to the castle including the bridge for excellent photos, as well as the village for numerous food choices and the lake. All went well.
