Although DACHUA has a horrible and somber history, it is important to understand what happened during the Nazi reign. Having visited other concentration camps & Holocaust memorials, DACHUA is one that can be seen in a relatively compact amount of time. The intellectual processing of the event will take much longer than the actual visit.
Really knowledgeable tour guide Andrea. She was amazing. Be prepared with younger children to explain the horrors they will see when they are there.
The driver Hamid and the tour guide Claudia were great . Claudia was very informative esp re: the history. The van ride was very comfortable and perfect for our family of 4
Visiting Dachau was a life changing experience. Our guide Stephan was amazing. He was so knowledgable.
We did the tour with another couple. We got picked up at hotel and it was so convenient. Our tour guide was named Stephan. He was fantastic. Knowledgeable and friendly. It was raining that day, but it didn't stop him from giving us his best. He even gave us a excellent recommendation for lunch in City and dropped us off. I would recommend this tour to anyone.
Our guide Stephan was excellent and did a great job with the tour . His knowledge of the camp and history behind it was well with it .
Dachau is well worth the experience, but our tour guide was not that knowledgeable on the com plate history of what happened there.
Somehow we were so lucky to have one of the best tour guides for this camp. She was not only extremely knowledgeable but was sweet and met us at the lobby early to help communicate with the driver. Viator, this was the best tour in Germany for us. Thank you
This tour is very moving. It is such an important part of history that needs to be remembered. Our guide did a great job with the time allotted.
Incredible tour. Our guide, Paul, could not have been more friendly or helpful. We highly recommend this experience.
This tour was well worth it. Because we had a family member who had been a prisoner at Dachau, we wanted a more private tour experience. Petra, our guide was so knowledgeable and also very sensitive, knowing how personal this experience was for us. Highly recommend this tour experience.
Very informative tour, very nice tour guide with a wealth of knowledge. Highly recommend. Thank you!
Our guide showed up on time and gave us an informative tour of the camp. It’s not a joy filled experience, but important for the family to learn about firsthand. He did recommend a good beer garden for lunch afterward and we appreciated the authentic experience there! Overall, just as we expected.
Very informative tour with a very knowledgeable guide. Petra was able to not only give us the history of the Dachau concentration camp but also told us a lot about events that lead up to it. Very interesting and sad.
Overall it's a good experience if : 1. The driver is not distracted by his phone, 2. The guide is more knowledgeable about the topic and doesn't talk about personal politics Unluckily we got both of those.
Our guide was great! Given the difficulty of the subject, I highly recommend Stephan to walk and explain the backstory and history. He started the trip with explaining the years leading up to Dachau, he was fact based and incredibly kind.
Highly competent and with a lot of empathy Petra accompanied us through this horrific world history. We only became aware of many connections through their immense background knowledge. She answered all our questions in detail and already expertly tuned us to the Dachau concentration camp on the way out. Also the hotel pickup service and back worked great.
