Unfortunately, this tour did not come close to even our basic expectations of a guided tour. We appreciated that the guide was punctual, friendly, and had a microphone so we could hear her, but hardly any information was provided. For example, we walked into a room and all she had to say was that the chandelier was nice. We were expecting to learn at least basic facts about who lived there. When we entered the Carriage Museum, she literally had nothing to say to the group and left us to wander around and read the signs. We felt that this was not worth the money and that we would have learned more using the audio guide. Beautiful palace otherwise and would recommend visiting on a self guided tour rather than this one!

What a beautiful place! Luca was amazing and knew so much about the castle and the family history. It was just long enough to keep our little one engaged, but not too long that she started to get fussy or too tired. We loved the hunting lodge!
Had a wonderful tour with Stefania. She was friendly and informative. Was a lovely museum tour. We really enjoyed it.
The tour was as advertised. Our guide, Wolfgang, was great. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about the palace and grounds, and he took time to answer all questions. Plan an extra hour to see the gardens on your own.
It's so much nicer having a knowledgeable guide share the history of the art and building. It really brings the experience to life. Wolfgang did an excellent job, and his English is impeccable. It's clear he has a passion for what he does. Top notch experience!
Lucas was superb throughout. He took the time to find out who we are, what we are interested in, what we did, and how those interests and experiences might best be served by our time on today’s tour. It was a magical mix of terrific communication and genuine enjoyment of being with people. The quick side trip to the hunting lodge was a hidden jewel of today’s time.
Wolfgang was phenomenal! Very knowledgeable and paced the tour extremely well! Highly highly recommend
The meeting place was extremely vague and unmarked. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and had a great spin on the historical leaders of Nymphenburg.
Delightful and informative small tour with Wolfgang. He had insider information and facts about the Carriages, Palace & Gardens. The family history was great background for us. He encouraged us to visit 2 other smaller palaces on the property n which we did. Wonderful walkabout after the tour.
Wolfgang was an excellent guide. Extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He provided us with some great information and insight about the history of the castle and events of the past. Highly recommend.
Valerie was a very detailed guide and easy to talk to. She made the tour more fun and informative with her storytelling.
The tour was informative and just the right length of time. We learned a lot! Our favorite part of the tour was the wall of beautiful people.
Thank you Wolfgang for a fabulous tour. We really appreciated you sharing your knowledge with us, and thank you for the additional personal travel tips. Your tour was interesting and engaging! Would definitely recommend to others.
Very informative learned a lot about the history of the palaceand our guide Valerie was engaging and funny! Had a great time!
Wolfgang was extremely knowledgeable, informative, and funny. He pointed out and shared things on the tour I would not have noticed on my own. 100% recommend!
The palace and grounds are beautiful. Our guide, Wolfgang, was superb and very knowledgeable about the palace and it's history. While very interesting, we had been to a carriage museum before...but it was still very pretty. The pace was good and easy to follow. 4 stars not because of the guide or castle...it just wasn't as well known.
Wolfgang was great guide. The tour was detailed and Wolfgang explained everything well. I would recommend for those who want to do a shorter tour of the Palace.
Good knowledge about the history of Germany and Munich to be specific …………………………………………………………………………..
Our guide was welcoming and clearly knew the area well. They made the whole tour feel easy and comfortable!!!
Robert was very knowledgeable, patient, and kind during this tour. Definitely worth the trip up to visit the palace!
Ozzy Was Great. He was easily able to like history together in way that was easy to understand. He did a fantastic job. We did not get to see the Carriage Museum. Because the inside WCs were being cleaned and we had to go around to the ones in the rear which took extra time. When we got to the Carriage Museum we arrived right 1-2 minutes before closing time. As staunch and unwavering as the Local staff our group was not allowed in. Very disappointed after travelling 4,000 miles (6,400 km) and not seeing the complete tour. While this was not the fault of our fantastic guide Ozzy. The local venue should be more friendly to tourists, which is their beer and sausage. Lou S. from NJ, visit 12/25.
Great tour! Informative and fun! Enjoyed the stories and the tour guide was friendly and efficient! Glad we chose this one.
It was a very informative tour. Love the history lesson. Our guide was great. Seeing the royal carriages was like seeing the carriages of the royal family in London but the sled carriages were very unique that you don’t see in London.
Wolfgang was such an experienced and fun tour guide! He knew so many interesting facts! We gad a wonderful afternoon on this tour.
Our guide was so knowledgeable, funny, helpful and interesting. The tour moved along nicely and we really enjoyed it.
Our tour guide Valerie made all the history so fun! Loved it so much, we’re really glad we booked this tour
Valerie is exceptionally knowledgeable about Nymphenburg, including the history, people, and stories from the past. We thoroughly enjoyed the personal tour of the palace, as other guests did not show up. She could have been a few minutes earlier arriving, but this did not detract from the program. I would recommend this to others interested in learning about this magnificent place.
Enjoyed our tour. Guide was knowledgeable and receptive to our questions. Appreciated her assistance afterwards when we needed help navigating transportation our activity after the tour.
The palace is absolutely magnificent, I highly recommend going when you are in Munich. Our tour guide was certainly knowledgeable enough, but was a bit of a mumbler, and it was often difficult to not only hear her but understand what she was saying
Our tour guide was fantastic! He had a lot of great information, was friendly and easy to understand. Definitely the best way to see Nymphenberg Palace!
Our group thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Nymphenburg Palace with our tour guide Lean. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and as someone from Italy, had a uniquely European and interesting perspective about the Wittelsbachs, who ruled Bavaria and had connections through marriage with other European royal houses. Our tour began at the Marstallmuseum which was the carriage house with hundreds of years of Wittelsbach family vehicle history. The highlight was the coronation coach of Emperor Karl VII, one of the most ornate coaches built in the French Rococo style, and it also displayed various other coaches and sleighs. Lean had stories to go along with everything we saw, and she made the visit to the carriage museum very interesting. The palace, while extremely large and beautiful, was just a big empty house with lots of old portraits unless you had someone guiding you through it who could bring it all to life with stories of the people who lived there and the historical times in which they lived. As a former teacher, Lean was very patient and able to put together a thoroughly researched and comprehensible description of the life and times of the Bavarian Whittelsbachs, and room by room she walked us through the lives of the rulers, describing their historical significance, their marriages, and their desire to hold on to power by marrying into other royal families. She pointed out the décor of the rooms, their function, and identified who was in the portraits we saw in every room. She happily answered all our questions. It was a complete emersion into the life and times of the rulers of Bavaria. I can’t imagine going to Nymphenburg Palace without a guide like Lean. Everyone in our group was glad that we had made the decision to book a guided tour for our visit. I don’t think we would have gotten as much out of the experience if we had not had a guided tour with someone as knowledgeable and friendly as Lean.
Good history of the palace and people through the year. Our guide (I think his name was Robert - the 1:45pm tour on Th 5/28) was great!
Great palace. Too much info about dates, historical figures, very hard to understand our guide due to accent and soft voice.
Our tour really added to the experience of seeing Nymphenburg Palace and Carriage House. Our guide spent just the right amount of time on each topic, knew her way around and was very knowledgeable.
Great experience and amazing (knowledgeable and funny) guide, even with cold weather! Recommended 100%
Great guide who was very knowledgeable and funny! No one else booked so it felt like a private tour!
Firstly the Nymphenburg Palace was unexpectedly massively beautify and added to it out our guide was super friendly, engaging, and really knew their stuff. She took us through the opulent rooms and gardens, sharing interesting facts about the palace's history and the Bavarian royals . The tour pace was perfect—we had enough of time to admire the stunning architecture without any rush. Highly recommend this tour if you're in Munich—it's an absolute must-see!
nice historical exploration, you can see how people lived in the palace ;) pretty good, the guide helped us better understand the historical context and appreciate the beauty of this palace
worth the trip, the family was happy everyone enjoyed the palace and the guide's stories we had a nice family day with several generations together
Amazing experience. The palace tour is a must visit if you are in Germany. Such a beauty. And our guide made it even more memorable:)
Wonderful to see this Palace and the gardens, as well as the carriage house. Did not expect to enjoy this tour as much as we did, would recommend to anyone with an extra afternoon in Munich. Returned without guide to enjoy the garden grounds more. That said, while our tourguide was very knowledgeable and did a good job, she was definitely getting mixed up in the historical names, generations, and time periods. It was OK, I think we understood what she was trying to convey, but she was getting mixed up.
The Guide was pretty spectacular l ar, and did an excellent job of presenting the subject matter, tailored to our interests.
Stephanie was a warm and friendly guide who shared her deep knowledge of the buildings, the people and the times with us in a way that brought it to life.
Absolutely Amazing For all the History and Art lovers, You can't afford to miss a visit if you are in Munich. The art work of the Palace is mesmerizing and capable enough to talk about the history n royalty in Munich.
My partner and I were captivated by the grandeur of Nymphenburg Palace during our recent visit. The palace's architecture and history are mesmerizing, and our guide provided insightful commentary that enhanced our experience. The highlight for us was the Carriage Museum, showcasing a fascinating collection of historic carriages. The palace grounds are also stunning, perfect for a romantic stroll. We recommend this tour to anyone looking for a deep dive into Munich's royal past. It was a well-spent day in one of Munich's most impressive landmarks. Highly recommended for a historical and romantic experience!

Cok guzel was in the headsets for listening to English. The pictures couldn’t get enough. There were seating places. We were always looking for a place to sit in between because we were spooked. We picked up a micnatis and a pencil for a souvenir. The garden and view were wonderful. Recommendation I would say, when you get here, the next museum is a go-to, but there are no English speakers or earrings.
