Great tour of Munich. Our guide give us lots of history, suggestions for things to do and places to eat. He personalized to our interests. I would recommend thus one!
This walking tour was fabulous. Our guide Patrick Kemp (Ozzie) was amazing. He was full of enthusiasm, knowledge and kept it light and fun.
We had never been on a walking tour before, and Ozzie did NOT disappoint! He was very passionate about Munich, and really educated us a lot! We have continued our journey through Europe and have continued reflecting on some of the things Ozzie taught us! The tour was great, the company was awesome and Ozzie was FABULOUS!! It inspired us to learn more, and visit the museum.
Quite possibly the most educational, entertaining and genuinely useful walking tour we've ever taken, and we travel for half the year! Oz is a fantastic local Bavarian guide who goes far beyond the usual history, landmarks and tourist facts. We learned so much about how Munich actually works, from local customs and Sunday closures to where to shop, eat and explore. So many little insights we didn't even know we needed, but ended up putting to good use over the following days! Our biggest tip: Book this tour on your first full day in Munich. You'll appreciate everything else you see and do so much more, armed with Oz's insider knowledge. He's engaging, funny, incredibly knowledgeable and clearly passionate about his city. I only wish every walking tour could be this good. Absolutely phenomenal!
I got lost trying to find start place at a hotel, with google maps! Start in easy to find place, please! Ozzie may be amazing to some, I thought he talked too fast and too much, not giving time to digest the huge amount of information, little time for questions. I would not do a tour with him again. As I said you might love him, many people wrre laughing at his jokes. I looked forward to the tour end. I was glad to see the sights, enjoyed the beer and sausage stop and 11 am rathaus show at least
This did not feel like a regular tour. Walking around Munich with Oz and a small group of fellow travellers was like being with smart, interesting friends. But at the same time Oz delivered non-stop guided information which was specific to Munich but global in scope. It was totally stimulating and I left feeling excited to know more and apply my new found local knowledge. The beer and fresh pork roll were incredible too. Every sense stimulated!
Great you with Ozzie! So fun and informative :)
It was a very windy cool day. It was tough to be attentive due to being outside and cold. I had expected to walk more steps during this tour.
It was ok. Guide will quiz you a lot.
Our tour guide Ossie or Aussi (?) was superb. His tour is for the thinking and introspective individual. He provides an education rather than a simple walk through buildings and alleys. Bavaria is his home, and he is extremely well versed it its history. He takes his time to explain details and welcome information about local and national laws that are not obvious nor intuitive for tourists from the US
Ossie was an amazing, informative and extremely personable guide. His knowledge was top notch and he was patient and encouraged learning about the city in a fun way. Would highly recommend this tour!
Ozzy is amazing guy. Most knowledgeable guide I have ever had. Taught a huge amount about Bavaria as well as Europe in general. Light on the Nazi stories but huge on city immersion. He explained so many things that the group did not know. Just a great tour.
Excellent tour! Ozzie was fantastic! This is the perfect tour to take when you first arrive in Munich. Ozzie was great. I was exhausted from learning so much.
Really informative guide with great personality. Filled in a lot of knowledge gaps about the tour area and Munich as a whole.
Doing a walking tour on a rainy day is not ideal but our guide Ozzie made the day fun and informative. We covered a lot of ground literally and figuratively as Ozzie covered history of Bavaria and Germany, culture, politics, economy and religion. Suffice to say we now have a completely different view of this part of Germany than we started with. Don’t just do a walking tour with anyone, request Ozzie. He’s one of the best guides we’ve ever been with.
This was an amazing tour, Aussy? Not sure if spelt right, was a brilliant guide, so knowledgable, loves his job, which makes even better. Great personality. Learnt so much. Would recomend this tour to everyone.
He was very enthusiastic and had a ton of information. That comes with time. The tour is supposed to be a morning walk but ended at 1:45. If you don’t have immediate plans after then no problem. We did and missed another part of our trip
Book a tour with Aussie!! He was fabulous He gave us so much local information from past and present. Even advised us to check the price of beer as that would tell you if the restaurant was expensive or ok!
Our tour with Ozzy was amazing! We were in town for Oktoberfest and I am glad that we were able to see the city while we were there. Ozzy met our group at Hotel Excelsior and took us over to the Old Town area. The level of detail, knowledge, and breakdown of both the past & present history of Munich what exactly what we needed. Kid you not he’s basically a Munich celebrity - everywhere we went the locals knew him and it was a joy to see the light & impact he brings to his community. Thank you again, Ozzy!
Our walking tour with Ozzie was amazing. He is able to convey a great amount of information—about history, language, culture—in a way that is both efficient and entertaining. He clearly loves his city and enjoys sharing that enthusiasm with his clients.
Great tour and great guide!! Memorable experience! I would recommend to anyone visiting Munich for the first time!
This was one of the best tours I have been on. Our guide, Osbourne, was extremely knowledgeable and made the tour fun, entertaining, and shared a lot of information. I have been to Munich many times but didn't understand the politics until now. My friends also appreciated the information about German day-to-day life. It was a perfect balance of church visits, beer, and laughter. Definitely would recommend this to any visitor.
Oz is an interesting guide who is passionate about Munich and Bavaria. He not only briefed us the history of the city and the area but also the current developments and trends. We as a couple really enjoyed the walking tour with him.
We had such a great experience with Ozzy! He is a wealth of knowledge about the history of Bavaria. We truly learned way more than we thought that we ever would on this walking tour. We highly recommend booking this experience on the first day or two of your trip to Munich, like we did. Ozzy will help you have a depreciation for his homeland’s rich history.
We met just after 9 and saw so much of Munich before breaking a little after 1. We covered a lot of ground, got an excellent orientation to the city, and were well equipped to get around on our own after the tour. Highly recommend!
Our tour guide, Ozzie, was excellent. He told us very interesting information about Munich and Bavaria, culture and history. The pacing was good and we saw everything listed in the tour itinerary.
Ozzy was a terrific tour guide who not only gave historical information but current information to help make your time in Munich better. Definitely recommend!
Waste of money and time. First hour we moved several meters (not far away from meeting point) with info of operator roots. Tour guide was rude from the beginning when he found that my origin is from Ukraine. Start complaining when my wife step out couple steps from the group. Then he didn’t like how I am standing, after that I moved to the back. Then he made provocative statements that Ukraine cause everything that is bad (natural gas, gasoline prices, Ukrainians, etc.) He made us to leave the tour.
The tour guide was fun and very knowledgeable. But we did a LOT of just standing around while he talked and he also went off on a few political tangents. I was hoping for more walking (since it's a walking tour) plus more education on the buildings and history and less of the tour guide's personal opinions. He was also quite repetitive. I was on a walking tour of Munich 10 years ago and the guide was incredible so maybe that's why I was a little disappointed.
Guide was very informative and also entertaining. He made the walking tour fun, and would definitely recommend this tour
This was hands down the most informative, local-led tour we have had yet! Want to hear about the history of the area? This is the tour for you. What to hear about the spots where the locals go? This is the tour for you. There is so much to learn all on a couple square blocks and this is the best tour for sure.
Ozzy was an amazing guide. He was full of energy and provided great facts covering religion to politics while keeping it light and my attention. It’s a great way to start your stay in Bavaria before heading off to explore other parts of the region. Guides can make or break a tour like this, and Ozzy truly exceeded expectations.
I agree with other do this tour on the first day to get a lot of great tips about staying in Munich. Ozzie was great very passionate about Bavaria and Munich
Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and charming. He explained a hot of not just Munich history but also German history in general. Very thoughtfully put together tour.
We enjoyed our tour with Ozzie. He provided historical and contemporary context to to Munich's buildings, culture and society. Our group was over the twenty person maximum and likely the result of the number of people attending Oktoberfest. Nonetheless, we would recommend this tour.
Better than I imagined. I imagined a basic informative tour. I instead got the experience of a lifetime. Our tour guide was insightful, inspiring, hilarious and intelligent. He was thoughtful and entertaining. You can tell he took it seriously and had all the passion for it. I fell in love with the city before even experiencing it myself just from this tour alone. Afterwords I appreciated my vacation much more than I could have without it. And he definitely it feel easier to get around and know what to do on our own when the tour was overr. Honestly, we were sad when it was over.
Ozzy was our tour guide, and I can't praise him enough. We spent 4 hours and learned so much about Munich and the Bavarian people. He was extremely funny and informative. We had such a wonderful time. I recommend him to everyone who travels to Munich. He gave a thorough tour of history, politics, architecture, culture, geography, and beer! We learned so much and enjoyed every minute. Ozzy is the best. I would do it all over again. Thanks, Ozzy for making it amazing!
Awesome guide had so much knowledge and first hand experience being a local for many years. Well presented and respectful.
Oz was amazing, friendly and welcoming. The tour was very informative and fun.
Fantastic guide. Value for the money.
Ozzie was fun to spend a few hours with. His knowledge of Germany is unsurpassed, inclusive of language, food, history, business, etc. His performative style of tour guide made the 3-4 hours fly by. He speaks easily to all ages. Highly recommend! Best money spent!
Ozzie give an in depth overview of Bavaria and its history. He is very engaging and thorough with his tour. We would highly recommend.
Oz was tour guides. The information was superb and can’t be found generally. We really enjoyed ourselves. The time passed very quickly.
Great walking tour Ozzy very knowledgeable around Munich , tour was around 4 hours but a lot of stopping .
Our tour guide Ossie was great! He is so knowledgeable and pleasant. He knows his history of Munich and surrounding areas. As we walked around the market, many of the patrons and shop owners would say hi and gave him a hug. I love his lederhosen that he wears cinductingbtoyrs and even on his one dsy off. We definitely went overtime but we were able to see most of the city. Thank you!
History and Beer, pork and Jesus Insight into politics, history and real life ,,.......,............
Great tour guide and very animated. Always a treat to learn about a site from a locals point of view. Only problem was as we approached the Glockenspiel plaza, the bells were playing and the figurines were spinning around. I stopped to record the event, as it ended I lost my group in the very large crowd and never found them.
Our guide was Ozzie. He was absolutely wonderful! He reviewed the history of Munich and took us to all the sites around Marienplatz. We also stopped for sandwiches and beer at the Viktualen Markt. He was a lot of fun and full of silly jokes!
All the reviews are true! If you’re looking to take a walking tour of Munich, look no further. Ozzie is outstanding in every way— wonderful personality, full of information, terrifically engaging, generous with his time, and on and on. I can’t imagine having a better experience than our 4+ hours on this tour.
