Never received the attraction's confirmations/ entry ticket. It was a pain. Wasted my day. Missed the attractions trying to find the stops and directions.
Good way to visit Munchen and choose what is the most interresting. The S-Bahn & U-Bahn pass was very usefull
We pre bought a 4 day City Pass for our recent 5 night Munich visit. I think you need to visit a lot of sights and attractions to make it a worthwhile option. I don't think we got the best value out of it and in the end. With senior entry discounts to a lot of the museums and galleries the pass worked out more expensive than paying entry fees. There were hardly any entry queues too. We also only used public transport three times and it was cheaper to pay for airport transfer tickets at the stations that add the airport zone to the pass. With no where to validate fares and no one to check you'd paid it seemed easy to ride for free! And the BMW Museum was not on the pass so you had to pay on entry for that. Best thing we found was the pass included a free desert on purchasing a main course at the Deutsche Eiche restaurant which we had booked for dinner one evening without knowing of this offer! Also this is a mobile phone pass only so make sure you have sufficient roaming data to use.
The Pass made sightseeing easy. We used it right from the airport and could hop on public transport and enter most attractions just by scanning the pass on our phones. It saved time and covered many must-see spots. A bit of upfront cost, but well worth it for the convenience.
Brilliant! Someone has really given this web-based app some thought, a link from an email and voila, on your phone screen all the info you need, including which attractions (all the ones we visited) that you can just walk into, no booking needed. The web interface has buttons which you touch to show an entry QR code, and everything worked just fine at the ticket desks/entry guards. We also needed the public transport option, worked in exactly the same way - touch button, shows QR code. We reckon we got VFM from a 2-day pass, more energetic/dedicated explorers could do much better, so totally recommended
Pass was easy to use. All Museums accepted the pass without any problems. It was definitely a good choice to add public transport. Had it directly in my pass which I could use from my mobile phone. Had the chance to see so much of the city and had not to worry about anything else.
The City Pass Munich was super handy during our 5-day trip. We used it right from the airport on the S-Bahn. It covers a bunch of major attractions, and since we had a pretty packed itinerary, it ended up being good value. Just make sure to check in advance which attractions are covered so you can plan around that. All in all, the pass made getting around and seeing the main sights way easier. Would definitely recommend if you like having things organized ahead of time.
One of the best passes from Turbopass. I used few of this company already, but this is my favourite. Digital, great variety of attractions, public transport and you see so much from Munich like never before.
Using the Munich Pass with airport trains was easy and made sense, since we had a very well planned 5-day visit to Munich. You should plan your itineraries in advance and see if they are covered by the card. Note that you always need to go through the tickets office prior to entering an attraction and they scan your Munich Pass and give you the free ticket.
Bike tour, palace, museums, free Prosecco at Rathskeller, Residenze museum and so much more with pass!
We purchased a 3 day Munich City Pass. We had no problems of any kind. We used the Hop on/off bus. We used the pass as several attractions. We went to the front of the line with no problem! They scanned our voucher with their phones and off we went. Great way to see the city!
I bought a 3 day pass with inner circle hop on/off bus transport. I was forced at the time of booking to enter a start date but actually started a day later and apparently, the date is locked in so I’ve already lost one day. When I did begin to use it, there was confusion and didn’t seem to be well known. There was another card staff were getting it confused with. There was a lot of confusion on my part and organisations. You don’t receive anything other than an email with the voucher attached, unlike the Vienna pass where you received a lanyard with barcode and clearly visible. I found the information on the internet websites were vague and poor. Quite a few places didn’t accept it (eg. tombs in church, tower in St. Peter’s cathedral). If you are in Munich on a Sunday, most of the museums have 1 Euro entry. My biggest gripe is the hop on/off bus which I only used once. The stops were not clearly visible, what very few stops there were, and I had to go to the main train station to commence my journey as I didn’t know where the stops were. Also, the website clearly shows red buses, which is a different company. You used the blue buses. Again, I only found out mistakenly and the red bus company had no clue about the pass. I used the train twice and was anxious in case I was asked to produce a valid ticket and could only show my piece of paper which I had printed out. Was concerned that would not be accepted. I really had little confidence in this pass. The pass cost me $165Au and I probably used only about $65Au. I didn’t have time to go to all the museums. Three days is not enough time to see the majority. The main ones are large and take hours to do them justice. I managed Nymphenburg palace and gardens (takes at least 3 hours if you’re quick to see everything there) which cost around 15 Euro combined tickets, then Residenz museums which included the cuvillies theatre and that took about 4 hours with a cost of approximately 12 Euro. I recommend to save your money, avoid the disappointment and confusion and terrible website and just pay as you go, pacing yourself comfortably. Public transport is relatively cheap and easy to use in Munich and there are subways everywhere around the main sights. After my experience with the Vienna Pass, I was left bitterly disappointed with this Turbo Pass aka Munich City Pass.
A GREAT investment - the pass saved us quite a bit on admissions and on transportation. Strongly recommend purchasing if you are going to be in Munich.
Fanatically pass to experience all the highlights of Munich. We saw sociel more than we thought and booked the local transport ticket, which is directly digital with in the pass are TOP. Never again without a passport
I highly recommend using the Bavarian card that allows you to travel on all buses, metro, trains that are part of this region ... we did the one for small groups (5 people) and we saved a lot: if I'm not mistaken more than 50 € each ... highly recommended. We made it all the way to memmingen airport
The Munich City Pass made my trip much more comfortable. I used it from the airport on the S-Bahn and didn't have to worry about buying transportation tickets. The main attractions were included and access was very easy — just scan and enter. In some places it was necessary to go through the ticket office first to redeem the ticket, but it was quick and easy. The digital pass is very practical and the public transport included is a great plus. Just check what is included before the trip to organize well. Highly recommended for a stress-free visit to Munich.
A very useful pass. It can be used in all public transport from the airport. We stayed four days and all the visits we made were free. It is not necessary to buy a transport ticket or to compost, just keep the QR code on hand in case of control. The only downside is the relatively expensive pass: 134 € for four days.
Was a super nice weekend. Weather also played along, it was warm, sunny and everything worked perfectly. Every time again
We pay full price and discover as many places are closed: Neue Pinakotek, Olympiapark Tour, Munich City Museum, half Science Museum, half Bayerisches. And then the Ferris wheel in the lowlands of Munich which is useless one wonders the usefulness. In short, a semi-scam with all these closures. We would have appreciated a discount.
