This half day tour with early start was perfect for me as I only had a few days in Munich. The guide was knowledgeable and was clear about meeting points and times.

Jaime, our guide, was excellent. He gave us in depth history and provided insight and new understanding well beyond the displays available at the camp. Provided much better context and explained the roles of those involved.
Aileen was an excellent tour guide. She was engaging and made sure we had the context of the most important highlights of the site. It is tough subject matter but necessary to keep these stories alive for generations to come. I’m glad we were in Aileen’s capable hands for this one
An excellent guide with great knowledge and a good sense of humour added in.
Great experience, moving place to visit. Our guide Scott was great. We had a small group and he was very open to questions, v we had plenty of time to look around after our personal tour
Excellent tour guide! Knowledgeable guide. Plenty of time to explore ourselves. Dress for the weather..
As emotionally tough as this tour was, it was very memorable. Our tour guide, Eileen, was extremely knowledgeable and engaging with our group. Highly recommend
Very informative! My family has been to Dachau before but we learned so much and our tour guide, Aileen, was fantastic! We really appreciate the experience and felt humbled by being there.
This is a tour all should take and learn from. It is a place to witness and to not ever forget. Hein was our tour guide and extremely knowledgeable of Dauchau, the history of Hitler gaining power & a munition production plant from WWI becoming a prison of atrocities that grew and grew population-wise as more population became prisoners of the third reich. This is an emotionally hard tour - walking within a compound of forever silenced voices. I feel it is our responsibility as humans to honor those who died here, the many concentration/work camps, the people haphazardly shot or gassed for whatever wasn’t good enough for the that reich- all for naught.
The tour was really informative and the guide was extremely knowledgeable about the camp and historical context.
It’s a sobering time, it makes you realise how lucky you are. Everybody should go and see the inhumane things that were carried out on other humans. People need to learn, so that history is not repeated. Heinz was a very good guide. He also took us to get to another part of the city. Much appreciated. .
Our half-day tour to the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site from Munich was an incredibly moving and somber experience, made profoundly impactful by our tour guide, Scott. Visiting a site with such heavy history can be overwhelming, but Scott navigated the day with the perfect balance of deep respect, sensitivity, and immense historical expertise. Scott is extremely knowledgeable. He didn't just rattle off dates and facts; he provided a detailed, comprehensive history that gave us a much deeper understanding of the camp's origins, its prisoners, the horrible crimes that took place here, and its unfortunate place in WWII history. He answered every question with profound insight, offering perspective that we simply would not have grasped had we attempted to walk through the memorial site on our own. The tour logistics were also incredibly smooth. From our initial meeting point in Munich through the train and bus transfers to the memorial site, Scott gave clear, effortless guidance. He kept the group organized and ensured everyone could hear him perfectly, allowing us to focus entirely on the gravity of the surroundings. If you are looking for a meaningful, well-organized, and educational tour of Dachau during your time in Munich, I cannot recommend this half-day trip enough. Thank you Scott!
A “should see” site for all people. Very moving and unfathomable to understand the evil that can exist in this world. We all must never forget.
Excellent tour! Very well organized logistics and information. Allowed free time to further explore. Definitely book this tour!
Great guide, description of the camp was really interesting, he knew is subject and respond to all the questions.
Jamie our tour guide was wonderful. He was sensitive, informative, encouraged questions and was highly engaged. We even sat with him on the train and chatted as well... really nice gentleman and extremely knowledgeable. I have studied this topic for many years and I still learned a lot on our tour. 5 stars!
The Dachau tour is a sobering yet insightful and history packed way to spend half a day in Munich. We had an amazing time with Emmet and really appreciated his expertise and knowledge as we traversed the large space and several exhibits/areas within Dachau. I would strongly suggest doing this as a guided tour experience where you can do others without. A special thank you to our guide and the whole team here as we missed the initial meetup due to Oktoberfest traffic resulting in us having to Uber and meet the group (appreciate you Jamie!!!)
This trip was exceptional. From the clear instructions on the meeting place, organized train and bus travel and the return to start. Our Guide, Aileen, was amazing. She gave us an amazing history and was very knowledgeable and answered ecery question. Also her respect for the subject matter and the reverence showed to the memorial was commendable.
Aileen was amazing! Very knowledgeable and friendly. Ensured the whole group stayed together and made sure we got to our destinations safety. Would 100% book again
Excellent way to experience Dachau. Jamie was very informative and answered everyone’s questions very professionally. He was very thoughtful of the group.
A very sobering and enlightening tour. Jamie, our tour guide was exceptional with his knowledge and delivery of the material!
I booked this tour for myself and my two adult nieces that had interest in visting a concentration camp during our trip to Germany. It was easy to find our tour guide and the meeting location. We took a train out to Dachau and walked a bit due to some high school kids on a trip the same time, and they were a roudy bunch to say nicely. The tour guide was great and very knowledgable, he spoke often regarding the certifications and seminars required of the tour guides to ensure the right infromation is being shared in a time where so much is faked online. I enjoyed the information that was shared and the ability after the tour to walk around the camp a little more. This was a half day tour so we were back in Munich by 1:30 where we met up in the morning, so we had the rest of the day to continue exploring and go back to Oktoberfest for the evening. This is a great tour, I recommend it.
This was amazing, it was very informative and the focus on the people was intentional and meaningful. It’s one thing to read about these horrible events but being there is different in entirety. The guide was very knowledgeable and personable. Shout out to Jamie for being accommodating and such a great guide.
What a great experience. We were very much looking forward to visiting the memorial site and learning about the history on the camp. The tour guides were incredible. We also did not take seriously the amount of traffic in the morning there would be (we were warned in the booking due to Oktoberfest) and missed the train with the group. Our guides helped coordinate us getting there on time with the group to still do the tour. Well above and beyond anything we could expect for our mistake. Very informative and very kind. Highly recommend.
Guide was perfect Knowledge Gave enough time to go back to sites that had information that I needed to review Perfect experience
Poor customer service. I missed the rendezvous and no voucher was offered. By comparison, I also missed a FREE Munich tour and they actually called me to reschedule! German efficiency. Like everything else, they lose in the end.
Fantastic tour with an excellent tour guide. I wish he had a small sign at the meet up location- there were so many tour groups leaving in that area- a sign saying Dachau group meet here would have been helpful.
It was very informative and obviously surreal to learn about the horrific treatment of those imprisoned there. Our guide Hein was very good and helped corral the group and shared a lot of the history and context.
Our tour of Dachau began in Munich, Karlsplatz , and proceeded to the nearby train station for a short trip to Dachau. A short bus ride later had our group at the Dachau Memorial. Aileen, our tour guide, was knowledgeable , friendly and informative. Our tour of the Memorial lasted about three hours. It covered the history of the facility from WW1 until 1945. Reconstructed barracks gave insight to living conditions. The gas chambers brought the end to our tour. Our return to Munich mirrored our earlier journey from Munich. Using public transport was effortless with the assistance of Aileen. Her presentations made our tour worthwhile.
I learned more in 4 hours than I did in 4 yrs of high school! Jamie was amazing and handled such a delicate subject with passion and class. Ditch the audio tours and have Jamie paint the picture with his knowledge and ability to tell the story! Trains were having issues the morning of the tour, had we been on our own may have taken me some time to re-route and figure things out. Having a tour guide took that pressure off of our shoulders and quickly pivoted and ended up arriving earlier than planned to Dachau. Jamie was awesome! Highly recommend!
Jamie was absolutely amazing. He was so knowledgeable and did a great job depicting the seriousness and reality of Dauchau while being respectful to the space, history, and the visitors. I highly recommend that everyone take this tour, and it is so much better with a guide like Jamie!
This was a very informative tour. Aileen was an excellent and knowledgable guide. It is worth doing the early start tour as not only is the site not as crowded but it also makes getting the public transport team and bus easier.
This is a very emotional experience conducted with respect and dignity. The trip was very comfortable and informative..
Jaime, our guide, was outstanding! He was very knowledgeable about Dachau and everything that occurred there from 1933 to 1945. He spent extra time with everyone answering questions. Would definitely recommend taking this tour over doing a self-guided tour.
Very good and informative tour. Scott was very knowledgeable and kept good pacing. We arrived back in Munich on time. Very good value for the price.
Great exp, knowledgeable guide (jimmy), moving experience. Bring water or you can buy there b4 tour starts. You can also buy food/snacks during free time. Highly recommend the early start tour a lot fewer people then.
Our Guide, Jaime, was very knowledgeable, easy to understand and very engaged with the group.
Our tour guide, Jamie, was a wealth of knowledge. We really enjoyed our tour and all the information he shared. It is so worth seeing this important part of history
The tour was extremely well done from beginning to end. The starting spot is easy to find. The travel to the site is easy and well organized. The guide, Jaime, was exceptional in terms of his knowledge of the subject matter and the approach he takes to such difficult subject matter. I knew the experience would be hard mentally and emotionally but it was harder than I expected. But at the same time I am glad I did it. And think everyone should do a tour like this once in their life.
Jamie gave the most informative, fascinating and detailed historical tour of Dachau possible. Grim subject and difficult sight but Jamie drew in details from a long and thorough historical perspective and very interesting range of related and important information. Easy tour to find and manage too.
Absolutely worth doing if you’re visiting Munich. The Dachau tour was incredibly informative, powerful, and humbling. Our guide did an excellent job explaining the history and putting everything into context without ever making it feel rushed or overly scripted. Actually standing in the places where these events happened gives you a completely different perspective than reading about them or seeing them in documentaries. It’s obviously a very heavy experience, but I’m glad I went and would highly recommend the tour to anyone interested in WWII history or wanting to better understand this part of history. A very well-run, respectful, and memorable tour. 5 stars.
We took the 3 hour tour and it was a sobering and enlightening experience. Scott was our tour guide and he was extremely knowledgeable and gave us insight we would not have had doing the tour on our own. From our meeting point through to the end, Scott was very clear with guidance and it was very easy to stay with our group and hear well.
Guide was great and shared a lot of information throught the journey. This is my 2nd time to Dachau but choose a guided tour with my wife 1st time.
Very moving experience. Guide did a great Job with a very somber and emotional tour. It should be mandatory for everyone to take this tour.
Our guide Jamie was awesome. Very patient, knowledgeable and helpful. With a number of people in our group he managed a train and bus shuttle with ease. Excellent tour, very interesting history lesson
Our tour guide Jamie was extremely knowledgeable and was able to answer all questions others had during the tour. So happy we chose this tour while on our vacation to Munich.
Couldn’t recommend Jamie more! Incredibly kind, well spoken, passionate and informative through out the entire experience. You could spend an entire day in Dachau reading every display, but Jamie gives you a further understanding of the foundations of Dachau. Jamie is a bundle of knowledge and answers any question you may have. He even came up to us personally on the train back and gave a beer garden recommendation! If you’ve only got half a day to experience Dachau, please go with Jamie, you won’t regret it!
excellent guide! decent value for the money.
This was a well organized tour with not too many people. The group travels bu train and bus to Dachau where Jamie started ti impart his knowledge. I would have liked a bit more time on my own to visit the various exhibition rooms longer. But all in all I would recommend this tour.
This experience was absolutely fantastic, our guide (Jamie) was excellent and provided plenty of knowledge to us throughout the tour and encouraged questions at any point. Jamie took us from the meeting point, through public transport, to the camp, and back flawlessly and was easily accessible the entire time. THIS is the experience you want to book, as the pacing was perfect and the information was concise. Jamie also took time to get to know each of us personally on at least a couple of points during the tour, and was also able to provide information and recommendations regarding the areas we were passing through and around Munich. Could not recommend this tour more, an excellent experience with an excellent guide. Danke Jamie!
