Guide Iain was great, very knowledgeable and friendly. We enjoyed the trip even with its somber history. I would highly recommend this tour and guide.

Our guide Lucia was fantastic. The tour is only a half-day but we learned a lot during that time. The meeting point and short walk to the train station in Munich were simple. Lucia kept us moving, but still gave us time to ourselves to roam around and let everything soak in on this emotional tour. Well done and would highly recommend.
Emmet was such a great guide, you can tell he is extremely passionate about his job. He shared his knowledge and did not hesitate to answer questions. This was the best tour by far I have been on and strongly recommend. We appreciate you Emmet, thanks for the memorable experience.
Nicola did a very good job explaining in detail how things were with the Nazi's and how they came to power. It was a chilling and devastating tour to see the atrocities that were committed. Its now hours later and I'm still feeling the effects. Nicola should be commended for her presentation!
The guide was very informative about the memorial and spoke about the memorial’s history. Transport to the memorial was very smooth as well.
Anuschka was a fantastic tour guide, she managed 20 people through train ride & bus stop without difficulty. As a historian her knowledge and credentials were superior and I felt she gave enough background and detail without getting mired in too many details. A+ experience…highly recommend
Anuschka was amazing. She clearly knows the subject matter, and presents it historically without any bias or distortion. Her English language skills are top notch I had no trouble understanding her. Very patient with questions from the tour group, all answered to the questioner’s satisfaction.
My husband and I recently had the opportunity to tour the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site with Iain, and we cannot recommend him highly enough. While the subject matter is understandably heartbreaking and difficult, Iain made this an incredibly meaningful and educational experience. His depth of knowledge, the historical details he shared, and the thoughtful way he presented the information provided us with a much greater understanding of the events that took place there. What stood out most was his ability to provide perspective and help us understand the human impact of this tragedy, recognizing the lives, experiences, and suffering of all those affected. This is an experience we will not forget, and having a guide as knowledgeable, compassionate, and engaging as Iain made all the difference. If you are visiting Dachau, we highly recommend taking a tour with him. You will walk away with a much deeper understanding of this important piece of history.
Mat gave an extremely informative tour of Dachau and provided valuable historical context throughout. Highly recommend.
Mat, our guide, was brilliant. He covered sensitive material with the gravity it deserved but without sensationalism. He was very knowledgeable, open to questions, gave clear instructions and engaged nicely with the group. I enjoyed the small group of 9, especially as I attended solo. Many thanks.
Very knowledgeable guide and smooth transportation connections made this tour memorable. Highly recommend if you are into WWII history.
Aillen gave us an unforgettable tour- she was informative and knowledgeable on the history of the time period and escorted us through the entire memorial site in an efficient manner. It was a very moving day and Aileen and the tour company helped make the experience one that we will always remember. There was enough time allotted to see everything in the proper amount of time and it was helpful that we met as a group and navigated to Dachau together as it would have been confusing to try to figure out how to get there on our own. Aileen gave us great information on the history of Dachau and was a wonderful tour leader and organizer of our group. Additionally Aileen checked in on everyone's comfort, making sure we were all ok, managed the schedule smoothly without ever feeling rushed. We highly recommend this tour and Aileen as a guide. We also took a different Radius tour on the following day and that was also a very good tour with another amazing guide- we cant say enough good things about Radius as a tour company.
Memorial tour that was very thought provoking. Covered the history in a very respectful manner. Took time for questions.
This was very informative, yet extremely sad. Our guide was quite knowledgeable,. It rained the day we went there, and it seemed apropos for the setting…
Sam was our tour guide as we went on a rainy Sunday tour Dachau concentration camp. The weather seemed to be fitting for our activity. As difficult as it was to go on a tour of this historical importance, We felt it was an appropriate tour to take while we were in Munich. Sam was an amazing tour guide and was full of information.
Connie was a fantastic guide. She has a personal connection to Dachau with family having been born in the camp just after the war. Her care about the details and the importance of preserving the history is clearly visible in her tour.
For a Dachau full on experience, you must have a qualified guide, but also a strong communicator. It makes the time spent there so much more educational.
Eileen was a wonderful guide. She spoke clearly, was very knowledgeable and respectful of subject matter.
Aileen is a very knowledgeable guide and managed to keep our full attention for the whole tour. Thank you Aileen!
It was a tour that I will never forget. So many emotions of the horror and terror that the prisoners faced. It broke my heart. Iain, our guide, told us the real story of Dachau in a way that was raw and compelling. As heartbreaking and difficult as it was to see photos and hear the stories, it was necessary for me to know. Thank you, Iain for what you do.
Sam was the most fantastic guide. So knowledgeable about Dachau and the circumstances leading up to the second world war. He was also very respectful and very aware of the needs of our group without being too demanding. The whole tour was well planned and it was very easy to find the tours offices . The train and bus trips were simple and quick. Sam was extremely helpful explaining the history of the memorial and clarifying the museum exhibits. A very informative and sobering trip.
Learnt alot about Germany & Dachau very interesting tour, tour guide was very good knew her stuff.
Excellent information from Nic our guide. A must do experience, very humbling. It's heartbreaking but great to attempt to appreciate the devastation that happened in that era
A very informative tour led by Iain. Getting there was simple as Iain led us on each step, first by train, and then by bus to Dachau . His narrative of the background history leading to the buildup of the Third Reich and Dachau was thorough and educational.
Very shocking that humanity can be this cruel and inhumane
As you might imagine, Dachau is an emotional experience. Our guide, Sam did a fantastic job of explaining the site with both facts and emotion. Sam gave people time to process the intensity of the area. His expertise and passion for this subject was very evident. He wants people to remember the Holocaust. I would also like to compliment Sam on guiding a bunch of people through the train station and the bus route with a couple detours due to the S ban construction. He was so calm. I would highly recommend the tour and especially Sam
Our guide Iain was excellent. He gave us a lot extra history on the train ride to Dachau. The tourand transportation went smoothly. There were two hours of the guided tour and then one hour on our own before meeting back at the bus.
Although it was a heavy subject, Ian did a great job keeping us engaged and moving. He’s essentially a historian on the subject! I’m so glad I did a guided tour and not a solo visit. I learned so much, albeit very grim and sad. Ian, tell your mama you have fans in the travel world!
The tour guide Achim was amazing. He has a wealth of knowledge. Highly suggest this tour
Mat was a great guide. He explained everything about Dachau camp and gave us a lot of information. Very knowledgeable and we learnt a lot. Highly recommend the tour with Mat.
Ended our most recent trip to Munich on this tour. Nick was great and added the right amount of historical context to our tour while making sure we had enough time to reflect on exhibits and areas on our own.
Excellent tour with Nic. A great guide 👍
Phenomenal tour. Our guide Nick was expertly informed about the camps and history leading up to the brutal genocide. It was so sad and tough but is a must see. Never forget!
The Dachau tour is 5 hours long and a necessity in my opinion for people interested in ww2 history. Our guide Nicola was very knowledgeable and I learned a lot about Dachau's operation and the people it held and killed. There is a lot of information around the site as well as a book shop at the entrance to the memorial with books covering many topics of the Nazis reign. Nicola was very good with managing our travel to the site and back and invited questions along the way.
Our guide Iain was very knowledgeable. Provided great overview and answered questions. He engaged with all people on the tour and I noticed how he was very considerate of those who were a little more limited with mobility, which I found to be impressive. I would recommend this tour.
If you want history and knowledge about Dachau then this is the tour for you. Easy to get to by public transport and very informative
We enjoyed our time on this tour. Everything was well organized and the tour guide was very knowledgable.
My husband and I traveled with a tour group and I actually extended our trip by two extra days so we could stay in Munich and visit this site. Even if you're not a huge history buff, it is something that needs to be seen. We should never forget what ugliness can come from hate. We had Nic as our guide for this tour. He was very organized and knowledgeable. Kept the group safe, moving, and made sure we had enough time to really take in the parts of this site that we wanted to. Nic even offered up some suggestions to the group for things to see, do and places to eat when we returned to the office. Overall I am very happy with the way this day tour was organized from purchase to actual travel.
Iain was very informative and knowledgeable. Everything ( meeting points and time) was explained ahead of time in case you wanted to explore on your own. At the visitor centre they have free four wheeled chairs you can use to get around if you have mobility issues.
Iain, our guide, was the experience. He fully understands the background, events, and location while sharing his knowledge in a manner that connects with the tour group. I have now taken two tours with him and would seek him out for future explorations.
Emmet made this tour extremely enriching. He knows ALL the history by heart, and has so many interesting back stories. Since Dachau was first to open, last to close concentration camp, I really got questions answered as to how humanity could have ever let the Holocaust happen. The camp is full of details, and Emmet helped by focusing on the major maps and numbers. We spent some time in silence and reverence during some videos showing some of the atrocities. Visiting the crematoriums, the death ditch, the gas chamber, as well as the grounds which were immense and overcrowded, was extremely haunting. The gardens where so many people perished and were cremated are now a beautiful garden where those souls may rest. Emmet made this day so in-depth for us, and we are truly grateful. Probably the best tour I’ve ever had.
Curt, our guide, was exceptional! His extensive knowledge of the history and presentation of the facts was outstanding. His empathy for all the lives lost and the suffering of people of this tragic period was evident. Fantastic experience I always remember.
While difficult to understand the horrors, it was necessary to see this piece of history. Scott did an outstanding job explaining so much information. He was a great tour guide.
While history cannot be erased, it is imperative that we remember the tragic events that occurred in this camp.
I am so sorry I forgot the name of our Irish (hopefully that identifies him) guide. He was amazing. Passionate, powerful in his discussions of this horrible stain on humanity. It was not a performance- it was a masterclass. We have continued to discuss it over the last several days since we took the tour. We followed it up with a trip from Salzburg to Eagles’ Nest. We greatly appreciated him giving Dachau the gravity it deserved and making it clear that history is on the verge of repeating itself.
The tour was very informative, organized, and helpful. I would have liked to had more time to go through the displays in the museum, as the tour guide walked a little fast and spent most of the time sharing his own knowledge, but perhaps this is just the nature of the tour. Still, it was a very impactful experience.
This is such an important place to visit and be educated about when visiting Munich. It is disturbing (appropriately), upsetting (also appropriately) and something everyone needs to know about. Emmet was helpful, knowledgeable and a really good tour guide. Wear comfortable shoes as there is a LOT of walking, take water and be prepared to have your mind opened in a very uncomfortable way. That’s how we know when we are learning.
The Dachau Concentration Camp is an experience everyone should make the effort to do. The tour really brings the excruciating reality to life. Our tour guide Keith was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the Nazis, events that led up to the war and the people who were interned at the camp. The brutality they experienced was explained and portrayed in images and narrative form. One really can’t comprehend the evil that occurred here until you walk on this hallowed ground.
The tour to the Dachau concentration memorial site on October 13, 2026 with our guide Emmet has been very interesting, as he explained the historic information with clarity and was open to all our questions. We will always cherish this moment , thank you so much, Beatriz Bustillo and Richard Rocard
guild vast knowledge very articulate.
