Brilliant trip, so many memories.
We had an amazing experience, even on a rainy day! I didn’t know much about the history of the Kingdom of Bavaria before this tour, but I learned so much and really enjoyed discovering its fascinating past. The views were absolutely stunning, and there was plenty of time to wander around, explore, and take in the beautiful scenery. I highly recommend joining a tour with Charlie — it’s definitely worth it!
Great experience visiting Neuschwanstein Castle. Charlie an amazing tour guide, funny, shared amazing stories and panoramic views to see. I strongly recommend the trip from Munich, even on a rainy day.
Stephanie was amazing… her storytelling was incredible around the history of Munich very relaxed and easygoing manner which made for a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Thank you 🙏
Emmet was very knowledgeable & interesting. My only suggestion is to maybe use an amplifier for his voice. He was very aware & kept asking if he could be heard in the back. I didn’t want to say so I just moved closer to the front. However, there was a man that just sat back. Emmet was wonderful though.
We would highly recommend Anna to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and personable tour guide. She made our visit truly memorable!
What an amazing day Thank you to our guide Charlie who was extremely knowledgeable about Salzburg and Munich Had so much fun Highly recommend and you won’t be disappointed. Darren (Melbourne Aust)
My husband and I always go to Trip Advisor to find highly rated trips, hotels, and sightseeing tours. Today’s day trip to Salzburg was another wonderful experience. Charlie, our guide, was SO informative. Each step of our journey was well explained and it makes enjoying the experience of a new city, easy. Thank you!!
Solid tour. Good amount of free time and learning. Charlie was a great tour guide and was very informative.
Excellent guide and knowledgeable
Charlie was excellent. The whole experience went well, was educational, and at a nice pace. Highly recommend.
Thomas our guide was great with a ton of knowledge and historical info to share. His pace was great and managed to keep us all together in the middle of the busy markets!
LEON where did you home from… Wow … you immersed our group with so much knowledge, history and more history, great tips and an AMAZING tour of the Christmas Markets and varied foods & drinks. Thank you for truly caring for each guest and their safety. Your enthusiasm, positive energy and genuinely making the afternoon pure fun was so appreciated. An experience I truly recommend while in Munich !!! Michael from Philadelphia USA feeling wonderful. Thank you again !!!
Leon was energetic and friendly full of knowledge. Truly enjoyed this experience and will recommend to all friends visiting Munich
We found Elizabeth to be not only well informed, but very humorous in her presentation. That helped us retain a lot of the information she shared. She engaged individual members of the group and kept us moving along. Even though we’d been through the market before, we enjoyed her insights into history and legend.
A great introduction to a few of the Christmas Markets in Munich and also got to enjoy some tasty treats (that we probably would not have had just wandering around the markets on our own). We did this the first afternoon we arrived and we really enjoyed our guide Elizabeth.
Our guide Adrian was very friendly and did a nice job guiding us through the Xmas markets and giving us a bit of history in the process. We enjoyed it.
We walked all through Old Town Munich learning about the history of Christmas. Our guide Elisabeth told us many stories about Bavaria, Churches, historical landmarks, and the Christmas Markets. We sampled German gingerbread, stolen, almonds and ended the tour sampling some mulled wine with a sugar cube! We walked over 10,000 steps in 3 hours! Some of us needed a bathroom break but we never stopped until the end of the tour.
Elisabeth was great very informative. Made sure we were taken care of. Got to see much more than if we had just gone by ourselves
Visted several markets and found some that you may not see otherwise. There are different types of markets which make it interesting. We were given a little time to explore the markets on our own.
Elizabeth was a fantastic guide! Very knowledgeable and funny! It was such a wonderful experience walking around the markets and ending in old town with the gluwein.
Thomas gave us a wonderful tour. We saw beautiful Christmas Markets where ate real Bavarian foods and drank traditional hot holiday wines.
This gave a good overview and walkthrough of the main Munich Christmas markets. Time for a gluhwein too!
Had a great time on this tour. Saw the best parts of the Christmas markets at a nice chilled pace. Our guide Emmett was brilliant, very friendly and knowledgeable. Never felt rushed and he safely got us through the very busy crowds. Highly recommend!
This was a very nice tour of a few different Christmas markets... some of which I never would have found otherwise. Our guide was very personable, and gave us some history of both Munich and the markets. My group was full of great people and many of us stayed together to have drinks and explore the markets when the tour ended.
Ahhhh forget the name of our wonderful guide who originated from Ireland The was informative and engaging through our The walk around Munich was awesome and the other markets… will we now have some context on them Great afternoon out
Emmit our guide was great. He gave us a lot of information and kept a great pace. He kept it light and pretty casual
Thomas was great, taking us through 3 of the markets and giving us the back-story on each of them. Plus a stop for Glühwein to ease the winter chill was a great idea midway through. He shared his personal insights, we took his recommendations and were not disappointed. The medieval market Flammbrot was very tasty!
Mark was our tour guide. He really knew his history and was a joy to listen to. It was a rainy, cold afternoon, but the Christmas Markets were packed anyway. We thoroughly enjoyed Marks tour.
Me and my wife wanted to get the most out of our Munich Xmas markets experience so we decided to book a tour. It was a wise shot. With 10+ diffrents market we got the see some of the best ones. Emmet- our guide was amazing. Servicefriendly and well informed. Make sure to bring warm clothes and comfy warm shoes.
Nobody showed up. We went and the location wasn’t ideal, got there and nobody was there. Went next door had a cappuccino and went home
The Christmas Market tour was very good! Emmet was a great guide: genuine, educational, and friendly! A delightful mix of information and experiences. Pros: - Great guide! Emmet was fun and engaging. - Covers three Christmas markets within an easy walking distance. All three have difference characteristics, and I would never have known about two of them without the tour. - A bit of history, both real and conjecture, on Christmas, its traditions, and other festivities. - Thoughtful stops for those in need of facilities, and a little personal exploration time thrown in at one market. - Glühwein. As a foreigner, a fun warming drink. Even if I wasn't fond of it. (My spiced Christmas wine is better, but it also isn't served in the atmosphere of a Christmas market). - A real tour, not a plug to sell any particular items! If you are a shopper, you can go back to browse on your own. (We aren't shoppers but did find knee-length wool socks and fleece-lined gloves at great prices - two items we had spent a few hours searching for earlier in the trip.) Cons: - Crowds. We were lucky in that crowds were light on our tour. We went back the next day and struggled to push our way through in a few places. - No "on demand" Glockenspiel performance! (OK, I didn't expect Emmet to make the clock tower Glockenspiel run at his command, but it would have been spectacular!) I was skeptical of the tour: What can you see at a Christmas market other than vendors? But Emmet delighted and showed us the different flavors of markets. I definitely recommend!
Pain was a great tour guide! We saw a bunch of Christmas markets, and a few surprises! The tour was worth the cost.
We’ve been on a lot of city tours in various countries and this was among the more disappointing. We had hoped to visit and learn about Christmas markets, maybe learn about favorite vendors etc. We did visit three markets but there was no interaction. The guide was more focused on telling us about churches we were walking by and the history of Christmas. It was just kind of a waste of time. That said , we did two other Radius tours and they were excellent.
This was a great tour to learn about the Christmas Markets. Iain was my tour guide. He had a refreshing sense of humor and was great to listen to his stories. Very informative and made sure all questions were answered. He gave great recommendations of which markets had the best food or drink in his opinion as well as the history of the markets. I had a great time from checking in till we ended at the Medieval market. Highly recommend.
Michelle (guide) was friendly but didn’t feel we were given enough tips on where to go, even though we were asked. Also you were just given the tour and nothing included, whereas on a similar tour in Frankfurt you had a Gluhwein, nuts and a carousel ride included. So sadly nothing more than average
Emmet was an amazing tour guide and introduced us to markets we had not seen and shared a wonderful wealth of Christmas history. We initially got lost and rather than moving ahead he came out to find us four blocks away. He took special care to make sure we were informed and felt ready to venture out to shoot on our own Great tour !
This was the perfect way to start our time in Munich. We are visiting for the first time and especially wanted to see the Christmas markets. We had just gotten off the an international flight that morning. So this tour was just right amount of walking and a great way to get an overview of the markets and learn some history of Munich too. I would highly recommend this tour!
The guide take us to all the must see Christmas markets but I wish we have more time to look around each one before we leave.
Tour guide was nice. She quickly walked us through about 4 different christmas markets, but we didnt slow down to talk about the local foods or crafts or anything so dont plan on doing that on this tour. You’ll definitely need to come back and slowly walk through to see all the booths and stalls and unique foods and drinks. Not sure I would do this again. Preferred to stroll thru 3 of the mkts and the streets of Munich myself for 9 hours the day before so was able to take in so much more on my own. This tour didnt meet most of my expectations so I probably wouldnt do it again.
This walking to our gave us a great overview of the sites we wanted to see in Munich and the location of five different Christmas markets. We then took time the following day to go back and visit these and shop at our own pace. Would highly recommend.
A fun walk a long experience with an informative guide . Learned bits of unique history and had cultural experiences of snacks & mulled wine ( own expense ) A good time was had by all. Got my in the holiday spirit nicely !
Very informative, friendly tour! Especially our tour guide! I am so glad that I had booked this. I also enjoyed getting to try to warm drink. Once again, very informative and interesting.
We had a great time, our tour guide was great and really knew the secrets of the city. We discovered a lot that we wouldn’t have found without her help.
Was a very informative tour giving a good overall view of the markets. Michelle also walked a bit fast but she did also acknowledge that she did. There was a 2nd guide with the group who was smoking a pipe which was a little off putting. Not the sort of tour if you want to look at all the stalls in the markets. More a get to see what is there and come back later.
Dan was very nice and knowledgeable . I would definitely recommend this tour . It’s worth the walk knowing you get to best of Munich’s Christmas markets .
My family and I scheduled this tour prior to going to the markets and found it to be informative and fun. The markets in this area of Munich are surrounded by some historical church’s, and our guide, Elisabeth, did a wonderful job of explaining the history of the church’s as well as the history and Christmas traditions of the Bavarian culture in this part of Germany. The tour is short, only 2 hours, and end in the Christmas market then giving you plenty of time to explore.
We were a goup of 14. It was a fun, engaging tour. Learned a lot from Daniela/Dani/Danny. And the (free) gingerbread was lovely!
We arrived 30 minutes early and our guide no showed. We waited until 15 minutes after the tour was to start. We had to pay a taxi to and from. We would have expected at least a call, text or email notifying us if the tour was canceled due to the weather. We went to the meeting point provided on the Trip Advisor Site. This is the second time we were not met for a tour. I would not recommend this company.
