Itinerary
Trying is the focus of this city tour. Our city guide awaits you with a welcome drink at the Isartor. The kosmo-bio-dynamic syrup from St. Michaelshof on Viktualienmarkt is gently prepared and awakens all the senses. Depending on the season, we offer the drink warm or cold. Then we embark on a culinary journey of discovery through the old town. The following delicious treats await you: • refreshing or warming welcome drink - prepared for you depending on the season • traditional Munich Pfennigmuckerl from the Hofkunstmühle • Moderated beer sample 3 x 0.1 l with Munich's best obazdn and double-baked farmer's crust bread • little surprise from Alfons Schuhbeck at Platzl • Award-winning white sausage from the butcher's row with sweet mustard • freshly baked lard from the Café Frischhut After our welcome drink, we walk to the Hofkunstmühle, Munich's oldest mill. Fresh wheat flour is still produced here every day. We are allowed to try an Altmünchner specialty, the Pfennigmuckerl. Then we go to our beer tasting. Three small beers from different breweries will be tasted. Try yourself as a beer sommelier! We also serve two types of Obazdn from the Viktualienmarkt with a double-baked farmer's bread. The award-winning Bäckerliesl bread is also sold at the Viktualienmarkt and with its intense crust is a real taste experience. We continue with our city tour to Platzl, where we get a little surprise during a short visit to Alfons Schuhbeck's chocolate shop. We continue walking through Platzl towards Viktualienmarkt. An award-winning white sausage awaits us at the quaint Munich butcher row directly on the market, of course with fresh pretzels and sweet mustard. According to the old custom, we separate the white sausage like real, long-established Munichers. After a short visit to the Viktualienmarkt we come to the sweet highlight of our tour: the lard noodle. At the iconic Café Frischhut, we can watch our stripping, striezer, donuts or tube noodles being baked fresh. The warm delicacies rolled in sugar round off our tour. Please note that the route of our tour can also be changed.

Philipp was a very attentive and knowledgeable tour guide from "weis(s)er Stadtvogel". He took his time and addressed our needs. We can warmly recommend him.
We were on the "Schwabing Tasting Tour" - a wonderful, informative, and entertaining tour with the very competent Christl Feiler. We gained deep insights into Schwabing's history and also took away interesting stories, partly from the owners of the various culinary stops. We are always thrilled by the tours and will gladly be out and about with the weis(s)er Stadtvogel again in the new year.
Mega awesome, super. Happy to do it again
Super interesting tour with exciting information about the selected sights. Delicious different treats and a very nice, competent tour guide Karin, a real Munich native 😊. My husband and I would definitely recommend this tour...👍
We were out with Hans-Jürgen, who explained the city history and the culinary specialties well to us. I found the section about the Hofbräuhaus-Kunstmühle particularly exciting. Always happy to come back.
Everything was great! Very well planned and interesting :)
We were out with Eva. Super nice. Plenty to eat. We had to take dessert with us; we couldn't eat anymore 😄. Learned interesting new things. Highly recommended.
An experience afternoon that leaves no wishes unfulfilled.
Very interesting designed and great stops with delicious delicacies!!
Very informative, interesting and delicious tour of Munich's Old Town
Very competent, friendly and humorous city guide! The food was very good and plentiful.
We had a great tour with Steffi and very pleasant group. The delicacies were very delicious. Can be highly recommended.
Mrs Kilian told us very vivid and interesting stories about our city. Even as a native of Munich, you learn things you haven’t known yet.
The tour was perfectly organized. Gerhard was a super guide and showed us insider places we didn't know yet
The Babara was super a Great city guide. Can only recommend will do a treat tour again. Thank you very much
Tolle Tour. Bianca was very competent. We had a lot of fun and received interesting information. I've been there twice.
We had the event: Walk to dinner for birthday. The city tour itself was very interesting. The guide Katharina explained it super funny and lively and responded to our group. Unfortunately, we were not very happy with the choice of gastronomy: The first stop should be the Bavarian Courtyard on the roof terrace, which unfortunately did not work. It was then the Spritz-Bar in the Schrannenhalle which was also ok. The second stop was the restaurant Mavi, very nice ambience but the food disappointed us very much. For 140€ per person we would have expected more. We had the choice between vegetarian and chicken, which I found very little. In our group, over half of the main course with half a plate went back, it was a very simple dish, not what would have expected for the price. In addition, one person has a pepper allergy, now choosing vegetable carpaccio or chicken with pepper sauce was not so ideal. I already passed the note on to the organizer when booking 1 year before. The person got the chicken with side dish potatoes without sauce which was a very dry story. From a restaurant like this, I can expect them to be able to improvise and possibly make another sauce. The third stop was a bar. We were sitting outside and since it was very fresh, we were frozen very quickly. We wouldn't have gotten seats in the bar and it would have been too loud to talk. The drinks with lots of ice and very loveless. Gin and tonic without cucumber or lemon. Munich has so much to offer from the gastronomy and for the price of 140€ per person you can expect better. What a shame!
The tour was balanced and well organized. Elke told a lot of interesting facts and answered additional questions competently. Only 4 out of 5* as the amount of liver cheese in the bread was very manageable / low.
We were traveling with Mrs. Ute Stadler, first-class guidance, a lot of knowledge imparted and very entertaining presented. Everyone likes to come back on occasion Greetings, Achim Kraus
It was a lot of fun and even as a Municher you learn a lot of new things. Great guide and thanks to the great guide.
Perfect tour! With a lot of humor and good food we went through the old town! Culinary everything was there! From beer to chocolate cake
Interesting tour of the city center, rich portions at the culinary tastings, very knowledgeable & humorous tour guide with profound knowledge of local and historical history, well organized and with overview for the group structure
Kurzweilig, unterhaltsam, informativ und spannend. Tolle Geschichten an schönen Plätzen. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Toll geführt von ihrer Mitarbeiterin Claudia. Wir werden sicherlich noch andere Touren buchen Mit freundlichen Grüßen Sabine Walter
We did the culinary tour and not for the first time. Every time a very special experience! If you can take a tour with Gerd! He's absolutely insane. The next tour in the Hacker tent to the Wiesn is already booked ;-)
Schmankerl tour through Haidhausen: the tour was very interesting, the stations well selected and - although I am Munich - I saw and heard a lot of new things (and tried them). There were Italian tasting bites, an organic liver cheese, organic bread with butter and cream cheese, quiche, a scoop of ice cream and an espresso. In the end, we were really fed up.
Funny, delicious, intellectual round in Haidhausen. We got to know a lot of interesting things about Haidhausen. The historical connections of squares and buildings were really good. The gastronomy was very good and super friendly. The guide has brought us extremely professional and very sympathetic everywhere. He took care of everything. Top! Thank you
We were with Mrs. Stadler. A very quaint Munich native who showed us the delicacies in a very lively and humorous way. It was extremely pleasant to listen to her. Thank you very much, keep it up.
Nice tour guide; too much hustle and bustle on Saturday, so everything was under time pressure! It was not possible to get in touch with the distributors and chat with them! The presentation of the delicacies could be improved!
With Mrs. Stadler on the way through the old town: it wasn't our first tour with the White City Bird, again as a gift for a parent, and once again we were thrilled. Even as a Munich resident, you always learn something new, discover new sides and, in this case, delicacies in your own city! Mrs. Stadler does it wonderfully, humorously, cleverly and in a truly Bavarian way. The atmosphere was great, the weather was perfect, the almost overcrowded city (start of Oktoberfest!) managed our tour perfectly. A very nice experience and the recipient was more than satisfied, and so were we family members!
The tour with Ute was wonderful! We heard a lot of interesting and interesting things about the beautiful corners of the old town in a way that was easy to understand. We were given small treats that were very tasty. We had fun and got on well! A big and heartfelt thank you! Definitely recommended! We will be back👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
We really liked the way Katharina explained the history of the city to us. It was very well organized and the delicacies tasted good.
Highly recommended, amusing, delicious and educational. Our very friendly guide Sebastian showed us the most attractive places and locations in the district with charm, humor and historical background knowledge. Some of the samples were even very good, the route was well chosen and the mixture of history peppered with piquant/funny anecdotes made the great tour very entertaining.
Interesting insights and tasty delicacies. You get what you pay for... ;-) We had a friendly guide who told us entertaining stories about the delicacies. A little more background on Munich and its history would have been nice though.
Excellent leadership. Very delicious Schmakerl and lots of information about Munich. The guide Bianca Hatmansgruber was very well prepared and could answer all questions. Your talk was very interesting and entertaining. That was really great!!!
The city tour was great. Guide Ute was in a great mood, with passion and had many anecdotes, without the narratives seeming set up. You get through some alleys, which you usually don't pay much attention to. The background knowledge around beers and breweries seems very well founded. There's a lot of food.
We had a very nice, authentic guide. It was very well planned and the culinary treats all tasted excellent.
