Moma1890 Boutique Hotel

We stayed here for a week in early August and everything about our stay was amazing. The location can't be beaten, right next to the train station from the airport and with access to subway lines that go to the center of town and the other main railway station. In terms of the hotel itself, first impressions were of a very modern, recently updated interior. The staff at the front desk were wonderful, happy to tolerate my basic German but switch to English when necessary. Extremely friendly and helpful. The room itself was also very modern and well appointed with a large bed and lovely bathroom. The free soft drinks, snacks and reasonably priced local beers were a great touch also. All in all, one of the best hotels I've stayed in for quite some time and the perfect spot for a visit to Munich. Can't recommend it enough.

Lovely stay at this hotel! The single room was fantastic value with the summer promotion, and it was the same size as a typical double room, with a comfortable double bed. It was also super quiet despite facing the square! The free drinks are a nice touch and breakfast was good (not cheap but OK value). The location is super convenient for travel to/from the airport and visiting the city. It is a bit of a long walk to the city center but the Haidhausen area is pleasant, and you can take the tram in front of the hotel (nicer than the U/S-Bahn!).

An absolutely perfect stay from start to finish! MOMA1890 exceeded our expectations in every way. The hotel was spotlessly clean throughout our whole stay, and the staff were incredibly professional and genuinely friendly — always ready to help with a smile. The location is fantastic, right by Ostbahnhof, making it super easy to explore Munich and beyond. The rooms were beautifully designed and comfortable, and breakfast was a real highlight — fresh, generous, and delicious every morning. The complimentary soft drinks and snacks in the lounge were such a lovely touch. Honestly, it didn't feel like staying at a hotel — it felt like staying with friends. We would return to MOMA1890 without hesitation and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Munich!

Brilliant staff with Excellent location with lots of shops and restaurants around, the underground is just outside the door steps. The breakfast buffet is great with various quality food options. The service is exceptional. The bedding is so very comfortable and I had very good sleep. The room is quiet , hardly hear any noise. The hotel decor is modern even though it was a hotel in 1890. I noticed that the beautiful walls are painted with hand, not wall paper. The best of all is the spotless room with better than five star hotels standard. I would come back again when I’m back to Munich .
