We had a great 4 nights stay in Maritime Munich.Hotel was exactly what you want centrally located 15 minute walk to Marienplatz and straight across the road from hauptbahnhof(central station). Hotel was pleasant with a 90's feel with decor was a small bit outdated but we only used the hotel to sleep so didn't mind us that much.Breakfast was included and there was a great selection of cold meats, fresh fruit and staples. The only negative was the location surrounding the hotel we did not feel comfortable walking down certain roads and lanes and tried to be home at an early time to avoid walking into trouble. Its one of the few times on holidays I grew eyes in the back of my head for me and my partner.Would not recommend staying in this area again and its a pity because there are genuine business being affected including maritime.

Stayed 2 nights at Maritime Hotel. The location was perfect as it was steps away from the station and we were arriving late at midnight. The hotel was nice and the pool was much appreciated ib the hot summer day but there was a mistake on our reservation and was given a double room instead of 2 twins which cost us extra to switch as there was only superior twin left. The room while large was strangely sloped leading to several head bumping. There was no shower door or curtain in the tub so the whole bathroom was wet after a shower but the biggest issue was the super soft pillow combine with a hard bed so wasnt able to much sleep.
We had an absolutely wonderful stay! My daughter, my best friend, and I truly enjoyed every moment. The team in every department was exceptionally friendly, professional, and always willing to help. 😊 Highly recommended! ❤️ I am forever grateful to be part of this amazing team. Thank you for making our stay so memorable! ✨
We had a great time at the Maritim, despite some apprehensions due to some other reviews. The location is great and a short walk from the Hauptbahnhof. The hotel is insulated from the traffic and other shops, and has ample space. Rooms are great, and the from desk staff is very courteous. Santiago, who checked us in, was super helpful, and made us feel very welcomed.
The biggest issue with this hotel is it's location. Yes, it's right across from the main train station in Munich, however, the neighborhood is a little rough. It was fine for my business trip but I would not stay here if I was traveling with my family. The area around here is dirty with lots of trash, smoking, even saw a couple of guys peeing on a wall. You also have to be much more aware of being pick pocketed. The city of Munich should really put some love into this neighborhood especially with the 10 year train station construction project. For the hotel itself, it was fine. Had a great bar with a wonderful gentleman on the piano most nights. The breakfast if you get it is pretty decent. Elevators are fast, and staff are friendly. The room was comfortable and clean though I did get a random water leak under the toilet on a few (not all) of the days I was there. If it's your first trip to Munich I would stay in another area though, especially if traveling with kids.
