The room was unbearably warm and didn’t discover that the aircon wasn’t working until the early hours after the door had been closed a couple of hours. Had to get up and put the door on tilted vent. Whilst this was ok, the noise from the street (our rooms were on the back) and the party in the restaurant that we weren’t previously warned about, and stomped on to 2am, made sleep a little difficult. We were grateful for only one night. The bar tender was disinterested considering how much the drinks are but the chap on reception, welcoming. Walking distance from a vibing area with lots of restaurants and shops. After travelling from Vienna and Salzburg, we found Munich, very underwhelming. Wouldn’t come back!

We stayed our last night before traveling home and was disappointed to have the shower broken ( couldn't raise the shower head). I was also creeped out by the two way glass that looked into the bathroom toilet from the bedroom. There wasn't a coffee or tea service in the room but the bed was comfortable. The staff called for a taxi to get us to the airport ( uber wanted $180 the taxi was $94) and they waived the fee for coffee and gave us a free croissant
Nicely designed hotel in Schwabing, close to many nice restaurants and place to spend the evening out at. Spacious and clean rooms, an enjoyable place. I would prefer a buffet breakfast, instead of a few options over a menu
Extremely disappointing: poor service, little hospitality and nowhere near the standard expected from a 4-star hotel Unfortunately, this was one of my most disappointing hotel experiences, particularly considering I paid over €980 for four nights. My flight to Munich was cancelled, so I lost my first night. To be clear, I fully understand this was not the hotel’s responsibility. However, I had deliberately paid more for a rate with cancellation flexibility until a couple of days before arrival and, given the exceptional circumstances, hoped for some understanding. I did not necessarily expect a full one night refund; even a partial one would have been appreciated. What bothered me more than the refusal itself was the lack of empathy and the rude/dismissive way it was communicated and handled. After politely insisting, I was offered a €24 minibar allowance as a goodwill gesture. At check-in, however, the receptionist seemed unsure how to apply it, and communication was extremely difficult due to her very limited English. I ultimately used only €20.30 of the €24, and one minibar item I took as a snack for the airport, a small pot of Pringles, had the sealed lid completely open beneath the transparent lid, with some of the contents missing! This was frankly disgusting and, more importantly, a genuine hygiene concern. Food left in a minibar for the next guest should obviously be checked and replaced if it has already been opened or touched. Addiotionally fridge was not working... Unfortunately, this incident reflects a wider problem with the overall level of service. Breakfast was also surprisingly limited. It is à la carte/table service with no comprehensive buffet. I normally appreciate table service, but in higher-tier hotels, cooked-to-order dishes generally complement a buffet offering plenty of additional choice. Here, options were limited, staff were frequently not around, and you had to actively search and call for someone if you needed anything. Again, communication in English was difficult. If you have dietary requirements or need to explain something specific, this could be frustrating. I do not expect everyone in Germany to speak perfect English, but this is an international 4-star hotel in Munich charging premium prices. I think it is reasonable to expect guest-facing staff to be able to adequately understand and communicate with international guests. I have lived in Germany and travel there frequently, and this is certainly not representative of the excellent hospitality I have experienced elsewhere in the country. One evening I returned at around 23:00 after a business dinner and nobody was at reception. I approached the bar and called for someone but received no response. Thankfully it was nothing urgent, but this is again disappointing for a hotel at this level. Perhaps the clearest example of the lack of attention was my room allocation. I had explicitly requested a quiet room on an upper floor. Instead, I received a room on the first floor facing the street, above a restaurant/bar with outdoor tables, with horrible noise until late, essentially the opposite of my request (and i did not book a basic room). I understand requests cannot always be guaranteed, but there seemed to be little effort to accommodate or even acknowledge it. The room was large and reasonably pleasant, which was the main positive. However, there is no air conditioning, amenities and minibar are very limited, and housekeeping was average. On my second day I returned to find the room seemingly only partially serviced, with the bed cover left on the floor. Individually, some of these issues could be overlooked. Together, the poor communication, limited and unconvenient breakfast, hygiene concerns, disregard of room requests, limited amenities and inconsistent housekeeping, they reflect a disappointing overall standard. I struggle to understand how this experience corresponds to this hotel’s 4-star rating and price point. I expected considerably better. Very disappointing, and I would not return nor recommend.
The room was good however it was warm and noisy. We were in a room at the back the hotel which I think backs onto a taxi rank? With the window open it was noisy and with the window closed it was too hot. On two nights we were woken early in the morning by beeping horns. The location is perfect and I would stay again but ask for a room at the front of the hotel.
