Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski Munchen

One of the redecorated historical establishments equipped with modern facilities. Deco is classic and stylish. Service is au point and attentive. Buffet breakfast is a proper meal in itself. Smallish gym but makes up with its proximity to the English garden which is 5 mins of walk away. Also 5 mins away is the city center and the subway station. Room is tiny but adequate. Bed and pillows are too soft though.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location is excellent, with everything you need conveniently nearby. The room was clean, comfortable, and met all my expectations. The breakfasts were very good, and the service deserves special recognition. The staff at breakfast were friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. The same can be said for the team in the lobby and at the front desk – they were welcoming, professional, and genuinely hospitable. I also appreciated the attention to detail. After my first breakfast, the staff remembered that I prefer to have my coffee at the end of the meal and offered it at just the right time the following day. Having stayed at several Kempinski hotels, I can honestly say that this property has provided the best service I have experienced across the brand so far. Thank you to the entire team for the excellent service. I would be happy to stay here again and highly recommend this hotel.

We had a wonderful time at the VIer Jahreszeiten Munich, the staff was extremely friendly and did everything to make us feel welcome and taken care of. The room was spacious and the rainfall shower was a real highlight. You have everything you would expect in a modern hotel room, including streaming. The only thing we would have loved is having a kettle in the room by default. That being said, it took about five minutes to have one delivered to our door, free of charge of course :) The food was fantastic all around, from breakfast, lunch, cake and dinner at the restaurant "Schwarzreiter", the lobby and the "Vier Jahreszeiten Bar". To give an example of the level of detail applied by staff: When I ordered coffee for breakfast the immediate question was: filtered or crema? Very much appriciated that! The gym has everything one could wish for (Technogym equipment, well maintained). The spa might not be the biggest, but it does the trick in this city center location and the sunset views from the spa terrace were spectacular. To summarize. Thank you for creating an extraordinary experience for us. We will visit again when coming back to Munich.

This was our first time staying in a Kempinski hotel and likely our last. This hotel should be rated a 2/3 star hotel (despite its price point and facade). We booked this through our Amex platinum card thinking it would be a good hotel. Positives: The rooms were spacious, pool was clean and breakfast was delightful (service staff were lovely too). What could be improved: When we arrived in a taxi, we noted that the bell boy took a while to notice that we were guest before helping out with our luggages. Also there was no proper place for a car to stop and alight, which is odd for a hotel. Secondly, we had to open the hotel doors ourselves everyday despite there being staff allocated to open the doors. This is odd as it would never happen at other hotels such as Four Seasons or Park Hyatt. The reception staff did not make us feel welcomed. During check out the staff asked how was my staff which I replied “alright”. He did not seem interested to know what could be improved. If you are used to the service provided at other 4/5 hotels, do not patronise this establishment.
