⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ We had an overall pleasant stay at Four Points by Sheraton Munich Arabellapark. Our King Room was spacious, comfortable, and well maintained. However, the Twin Room was noticeably smaller than expected. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always willing to help during our stay. Unfortunately, the hotel did not respond to any of my emails before arrival regarding special requests. I had specifically requested an accessible room for my elderly mother, but this was not arranged, and her room had a bathtub, which was difficult and potentially unsafe for her to use. The breakfast was very good, with a wide variety of options, although the dining area felt quite small and became crowded during busy times. The hotel itself is in a convenient location, but it is showing its age and would benefit from a full renovation, particularly the bathrooms, which could be updated with a more modern design. The balconies are a lovely feature, but they would be much more enjoyable with seating furniture and regular cleaning as part of the daily housekeeping service. Overall, we enjoyed our stay thanks to the excellent staff and comfortable rooms, but a few improvements would greatly enhance the guest experience.
The hotel feels a bit dated but was clean, and located close to trams, subways, and grocery stores. The room was large and well-appointed -- but the balcony was practically unusable: no outdoor furniture, and filled with pigeons and pigeon repellents. Elevator. Nice pool. Modern, clean area away from crowds, quiet, and felt very safe.
Serious security issue and poor handling by management. At approximately 2:30 a.m., someone attempted to enter our hotel room and successfully unlocked the door. Fortunately, the internal safety latch was engaged, preventing the person from entering fully. My husband had to physically push the door closed to stop the intrusion. When we reported this to the manager on duty, he admitted it was his mistake, saying they were checking an empty room with a similar number to make some work and checks on the room. This is extremely concerning, as who does that at 2:30 a.m.? Earlier that same day, shortly after check-in, my husband went to the gym and was told that our room number had already been used, even though we had not been there. Despite the seriousness of the situation, we were told nothing could be done. Only after almost begging, we were moved to another room the following day. But who can sleep peacefully after an incident like this? I am attaching photo of the barricade we had to build on the door out of fear.
I would not choose the north of Munich to stay during holidays but for business in the north of Munich the location is ideal. Everything you need is in walking distance including the U-Bahn. Good connection tobte main roads. The rooms are the standard larger hotel rooms and clean. The staff is very friendly which is not always a given in Munich. The breakfast is great with fresh goods and a large selection. The view over the city is awesome.
