Loved this place overall. However in room 111 the wifi is very poor. Staff tried to address the issue but it went unsolved during my six day stay. Internet only worked nominally. Very frustrating! Another issue was the breakfast menu has no prices for a la carte ordering. This is a discourtesy to guests. Staff was generally good to excellent. Place ya clean and comfortable. Super great location. I recommend, but fix the wifi. Cheers!

Overall, our stay at Hotel Excelsior Munich was pleasant. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the main train station, with a subway entrance only a few steps away. Check-in was quick and efficient, the lobby and breakfast area were elegant, and the breakfast was good, the beds were comfortable, bathroom very elegant with good quality accessories. However, I was disappointed with the room. We booked a **Premium Double Room**, but it did not match the impression given by the photos or the description. The room was much smaller than expected, and once the extra bed for the third adult was added, there was barely any space to move around. I understand that rooms within the same category can vary in size. However, I made the reservation for three adults as early as mid-January (we stayed there between from 11st to 13rd of July) so I don't think it was reasonable to assign us one of the smallest rooms in that category. The coffee machine was hidden inside a closed cabinet above the safe, which took us a while to find. More importantly, there wasn't really enough space to enjoy a cup of coffee in the room. There were only two chairs, and even those could hardly be used because the extra bed took up most of the available space. felt that the photos were somewhat misleading regarding the actual size of the room. I didn't complain during our stay because we were only there to sleep after spending the day exploring the city, so it wasn't worth the hassle. However, because of the misleading room photos and the difference between expectation and reality, I probably wouldn't choose this hotel again.

We enjoyed our stay. Our room was great it looked off the main road. They provided a fan for the room which was a Big deal for me. Spacious bathroom. We had dinner evening on the terrace. The food was very good but the service was slow sitting in the back, I think maybe the tables on the street get more attentive service. But other than that, the stay was Everything w

Great two night stay. Clean, comfortable, quiet hotel with lovely decor was the perfect place to end each day. Location can’t be beat! Arrived by train, explored the city by foot, 5 minute walk back to train station to catch the S-bahn to the airport. I should have taken photos as the hotel was nicer than expected based on website photos.
