This has, by far, been one my best experiences in a hotel. What made this stay exceptional is the wonderful staff and the cheerful service they provide. Starting with the front desk staff to those overseeing the packed breakfast room - they set the bar! The rooms are so pretty, well-kept, and designed for comfort including the pillow menu to pick from! Excellent breakfast buffet choices, great location central to everything and free WiFi. This is a really good hotel with one notable exception (more below). We chose it for the location in Munich’s old town and the hardwood floors. The decor of the room was fun. The layout, on the other hand, was very strange. The bathroom was right next to the bed and without a regular door - instead, segments of the bathroom wall (the one next to the bed…) pivoted to open into the bathroom (hard to explain - you have to see it to believe it). Because of this, we rated the rooms 4 out of 5 stars. On the upside, the windows open for good ventilation, and for someone with allergies, the hardwood floors are a blessing. Our room also had a full kitchenette (complete with a little dishwasher, cook top, refrigerator, and equipped with dishes, etc.). The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was a little pricey and we passed on the 30 euro plus breakfast (there’s a little cafe kitty corner to the hotel for coffee and carbs). We would definitely return but ask for a room without the weird bathroom door.
My absolute favourite place to stay in Munich. The staff are wonderful, the food is amazing and the location is great. I’ve stayed here over 5 times as I travel to Munich for work quite a bit. The rooms are beautifully done and the hotel and staff are the best part of my trip.
Cortiina Hotel was hands down our favorite hotel from our entire European honeymoon. We spent four nights here, and it was the perfect midway point in our trip. The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of Munich with endless things to do, see, and explore just steps from the hotel. Our room was HUGE compared to the other places we stayed in Europe, which made a big difference in comfort. The design was stylish and modern, and the heated bathroom floors were an amazing touch—especially after long days of walking around the city. The staff and amenities were truly incredible. Service was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The hotel gym was also a major surprise—in fact, it was better than most hotel gyms we’ve used in the U.S., which is rare for a hotel in Europe. We also loved the hotel bar—it was a great atmosphere, fun, and the perfect place for a nightcap after a full day out in Munich. Everything was incredibly convenient, with most attractions within walking distance and the subway just a few blocks away when needed. Overall, Cortiina Hotel delivered on every level. Comfortable, stylish, centrally located, and full of great amenities—we would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Munich.
This was our first time in Munich and we had a very comfortable stay at Cortiina Hotel. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Our room was located through a separate entrance just a few steps from the main lobby, which was very convenient. The room itself was spacious, contemporary, and clean, with a kitchenette-style island counter that added a nice touch. The pillows were quite thin, which I personally prefer, though I can see how some guests might want a fuller thickness. As is common in many European hotels, one large bottle of water is provided, but additional bottles were available upon request. The location is excellent, within a 5 to 10 minute walk to many popular attractions, yet the spot of the hotel felt very quiet even during Easter weekend. One of the highlights for me was the breakfast. There was a beautiful and abundant spread with a great variety of options, all delicious and thoughtfully presented. We also enjoyed being able to order from the menu, which was included. The restaurant space itself felt intimate and cozy. Overall, a wonderful stay. We would definitely return when visiting Munich again.
