Very thorough and educational tour of morelia city. We really enjoyed our tour and learned so much history of Morelia. Our guide also gave us recommendations of where to eat in town and some additional spots to visit in Morelia that we appreciated. Highly recommend!

We really enjoyed the Morelia City Tour. Since we only had a short stay in the city, it was the perfect way to get oriented and learn about Morelia’s rich history. Our guide, Rodrigo, was outstanding. He was very fluent in English, incredibly knowledgeable, and you could tell he genuinely loves his city and takes pride in sharing its history and culture. He made the tour both informative and engaging. Rodrigo also gave us several recommendations for things to do after the tour and suggested a few restaurants that serve authentic local cuisine. We followed his advice, and he was absolutely right—the food was delicious! The city’s beautiful colonial buildings and awe-inspiring churches made a lasting impression on us. We highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Morelia, especially if you’re short on time and want an excellent introduction to this amazing city.

Rodrigo is so knowledgeable and his English is perfect. I was a little hesitant to sign up for a 3 hour tour but the time went quickly.

It is a well thought out tour, full of history and context. We enjoyed the places we visited and plan to return for extended visits as Rodrigo suggested. We've taken a lot of city tours and this is definitely one of the best.

Touring the historic center of Morelia with Rodrigo Rosales was a highlight of our Mexican adventures in Michoacan. Having a native-born and Morelia-raised guide was unique enough, but his knowledge of the history, religion, architecture and culture added depth to the tour. His English was excellent, and we were grateful for his recommendation, not only for Morelia restaurants, but also other recommendation for our subsequent travels to Patzcuaro. Rodrigo, our guide was knowledgeable and patient with us. He was on time. he explained the history of the area and the local artisans.

We were in town for a wedding and wanted something to do the day after before we had to head back to the airport. We went as a group of 3 and it was amazing! Rodrigo is phenomenal!!! I can't say enough about him. The tour is an amazing use of time and an amazing bargain at its price too! You start at the old town square and church, where he also shows you the local artist exposition which is worth going to see on its own! He was a great guide and extremely knowledgeable about Morelia, Michoacan, Mexico, and honestly history itself. I love history and it seems like Rodrigo could go back and forth about anything! He truly seems to love what he does and that be gets to show people not just the history of Morelia but its beauty too. I do not think there is anything I would change about this tour and I would recommend it to anyone at all traveling. It truly was a great experience and I would recommend it if you are on the fence about it, or have a tight itinerary; or even if you aren't a big history fan, it's still an amazing tour and Rodrigo's love for the city shines through, giving an amazing representation of this hidden gem of a city. We were very impressed with the wealth of knowledge Rodrigo had about the history of Morelia. He was interesting and engaging and we learned alot. Our only regret was that we did not meet with him sooner in our trip so as to explore all his recommendations.

Our guide Rodrigo was simply superb showing us all of the interesting sights of the downtown area. It is a lovely area with many interesting churches, cultural centers and libraries.

This was our first time in Morelia and this city tour was totally worth it! Our guide was Rodrigo Rosales with Yei Tours. Rodrigo was extremely professional and knowledgeable. As mentioned this was our first time in this city and through this tour we were able to see the highlights and hear the history of the city. If you have never been here this is a must and if you get Rodrigo, even better. This way you are able to see the main sights of the city and see what you would like to go back to see throughout your stay. This is a walking tour so be ready to walk a lot. My dad has back problems so it was a little hard on him but after a few breaks along the way he said he will totally do it again.

Very educational and informative tour of the historic center of Morelia . Rodrigo is very knowledgeable and captures his audience with historical facts on how the city was established from the ancient civilizations and up to the Mexican independence where the city got its’s current name of Morelia.

Rodrigo had a wealth of knowledge of Morelia and Mexico in general. He was an excellent guide and spoke very good English. We had to cut our tour short because of a family event, but Morelia is full of wonderful history.

What a great tour! Rodrigo was our guide and his passion for his city was evident throughout the whole tour! We learned so many interesting things from him and we asked lots of questions and he always had an answer and even added to what we wanted to know. The city of Morelia is beautiful - I had been there before but now, after this tour, I feel much more knowledgeable and can’t wait to come back and learn even more. We were so impressed with the time that Rodrigo took to explain the history of Morelia and, in particular, the different sites that we toured with him. As a tourist, we could have walked around and enjoyed the views but not appreciate the significance of many of them. He was very thoughtful to suggest restaurants that we might enjoy and gave us ideas about other activities to do while visiting this beautiful city. I would highly recommend him if you are visiting this city for the first time…we want to come back to experience even more because of him!

I've always loved Morelia but never knew the historical value of the city untill I adventured on this tour. Rodrigo is an excellent guide he's a very articulate person in explaining things in grave detail which I very much appreciated. This was an amazing tour. We learned so much about Morelia, such a rich history. Our guide Rodrigo was very knowledgeable and provided the tour in English. This tour was our favorite part of our trip. Rodrigo picked us up on time and walked at our pace. You will be walking a lot but it’s not that bad.

I went on a tour with Rodrigo. I took a Spanish tour, but his English is very good as well. He led me on a pleasant historical tour of Morelia. He has a vast knowledge of all aspects of the city. As a history buff myself, I was very impressed with all of the historical details and facts he had to share. He showed me many hidden gems that I likely would have missed on my own. It was my first time in the city, and he made my stay all the more enjoyable. Highly recommended!

The city tour was awesome! I got picked up at my hotel by Rodrigo. Rodrigo knew English really well, and actually helped me seamlessly practice my Spanish as well. I learned about the founding of the city, the church histories, and saw all different types of architecture. I am a history nerd so it was perfect.

The tour is a walk tour with a very knowledgeable local guide. Rodrigo was great and help us to choose a great restaurant that offer local cuisine.

We booked the tour for our first day in Morelia and it gave us information we needed on where we wanted to spend our days here. Very comprehensive. Wow! We can't say enough about our experience with Rodrigo and the tour. What a wealth of information. Very personable and fluid English as well. Rodrigo has the education, history, local experience, and above all passion! He delivers a well layed out and knowledgeable tour experience. We took this tour at the beginning of our stay in Morelia and based on all the information and highlights covered in the tour we were able to go back and revisit a lot of the sites and recommendations made during the tour. Morelia is a very walk able city and the tour took about three hours and was well paced with opportunities to stop and rest as Rodrigo shared his stories and insight. We started at the Art Institute of Michoacan which is worth revisiting, headed to Catedral de Morelia, Templo de Santa Rosa de Lima, Palacio Clavijero y Biblioteca Universitaria (worth a revisit for the exhibits), and walked down Main Street past the Aquaducts and ultimately to Santuario de Guadalupe y Exconvento de San Diego. These are the Major highlights and all the while your were given a history spanning over four centuries and connecting the dots from colonial times to present day - not only in Morelia but the surrounding areas and history. Intriguing! Along the way Rodrigo pointed out and suggested different restaurants and shopping (Museo del Dulce and the history of Ate and the nuns) was one of the many suggestions. Do yourself a favor and book this tour - it will not disappoint.

We really enjoyed our Morelia City tour with Rodrigo. He offered a well researched historical perspective of the birth of the Colonial City. We stopped at various historical landmarks and got a good sense of the city and places we would like to revisit. I recommend this tour when you first arrive in the city!
