Sea Scooter Jet Snorkeling : Swim With Turtles, Rays & Sharks

It was so fun with the little jets and our guide was amazing! Showed us everything from the cutest ray named Bridget, to stars, fish, turtles and two more rays who’s names I sadly don’t know. And now we have amazing pictures and a video to remember that amazing trip by!

Very disappointing as we had a miss communication. At time of booking I recieved a pick up time which I couldnt find again as the app has disappearing messages. Then on day of tour I recieved an email with a different time, I tried to respond to the email but it was a generic email.. so we missed our pick up, they did call after the pick up left, and noted we still had to pay for the tour which was very expensive. Very disappointing as we were very much so looking forward to it.

My spouse and I did the Afternoon Jet Express with Moorea Water Sports, and it was such an amazing experience! The guides were fantastic, the scenery was absolutely beautiful, and this was honestly one of the best snorkeling experiences I’ve ever had because it was so unique. We snorkeled over beautiful coral reefs, and at our second snorkeling spot, two adorable stingrays joined us! They were so friendly and stayed with us like two little tour guides showing us around. They were definitely the highlight of the experience for me — and one of my favorite memories from our entire trip! I highly recommend this tour and the wonderful guides at Moorea Water Sports. Another bonus is that the tour starts at the gorgeous Sofitel hotel right on the beach. We were able to enjoy the beautiful surroundings and have lunch before heading out, which made the whole experience even better. If you’re visiting Moorea, definitely add this to your list! 🌴🐠🤿💕

This snorkeling trip was amazing! Nico and Manu are a great team. Nico explained everything thoroughly ahead of the trip. They facilitate a friendly atmosphere and encourage communication between fellow snorkelers. They accommodate anyone from a certified diver to a novice with great ease. No one feels left out. AMAZING!!! This was the best snorkeling experience I have ever had, and I have snorkeled throughout the Caribbean and Cozumel. The water near Tamae beach was crystal clear, and the coral bright and vibrant with plenty of fish. I was worried the sea scooter would move too fast to enjoy the snorkel, but in reality it moved us at the same pace as I would swim, while giving much more control in the strong current. While we stayed on Moorea before heading on a cruise through the Tahitian islands, we did the morning snorkel (8 am - 11:30). There were just six passengers on a small boat, going to three different stops, each unique and amazing. Capitan Manu and our guide Nicolas made us feel safe and welcome. We loved the experience so much we decided to do the afternoon snorkel trip three days later when we returned to Moorea on the cruise stop. We added the transportation from the cruise port to the starting point at Sofitel Kia Ora, and the taxi driver was prompt and gave us lots of details about the island on the drive. The timing of the afternoon snorkel (1:30 - 4) worked well with the timing of the ship in port. If you are wondering if this trip is worth it, let me assure you it is! If/when we return to Moorea we will definitely book again.

This sea scooter tour in Moorea was easily one of the most incredible experiences of our entire trip. From start to finish, the guides were friendly, professional, and made everyone feel comfortable in the water. Even my mom, who is usually nervous about anything adventurous, gradually gained confidence with the sea scooter thanks to their patience and encouragement. By the end, she was having a great time, however, she still remained hesitant about going into the deeper water. The guides patiently led her back to the boat, where she enjoyed the view of rays up close while my father and I swam in the deep end. Using the sea scooter felt like entering a completely different world. The water was crystal clear, and we were able to explore areas and see marine life in a way that would have been impossible otherwise. Beyond the rays that the guides feed, I was thrilled to spot a spotted eagle ray gliding through the water and several beautiful sea turtles swimming in the wild. Seeing these animals in their natural habitat was absolutely unforgettable. If you're visiting Moorea, this tour is a must-do. Five stars all the way!

I was surprised they took us by boat to multiple locations. The coral was gorgeous and the propellers let us go farther than we could have with the current.

We had an excellent time with Sea Scooter Jet Snorkeling, Moorea Dream Adventure. My wife and I have done six snorkeling excursions in Bora Bora and Moorea, and this was our favorite. The sea scooters, the captain, and our guide Nico made the experience fun and easy. The scooters were powerful with three speeds, so even non strong swimmers can see a lot. We had three stops and spent plenty of time in the water, more than any other tour we have done. We saw a wide variety of fish and never felt rushed. Nico also took photos and videos and created a great video for us at the end, which was something no other excursion has offered. It was also very affordable and easily the best value we have experienced. Highly recommend.

Love this trip. The tour guide took a lot of good pictures of us with fish and stingrays. I uploaded those pictures and my friends all love it. First time to use sea scooters. Very useful tool if the current is strong and you don’t swim well.

Amazing underwater experience with knowledgeable, patient guides and a fun, picturesque boat ride. Our 9 year old made lasting memories from this experience.

We had a fabulous guided snorkelling trip with the sea scooters which were very easy to use and took us long distances over the reef. Nico and the team were delightful and the reef areas we saw were very healthy. We saw turtles, many fish, a shark and- the highlight- swam for long distances with two very friendly rays. And we have it all on film! Thanks Nico!

I was a little nervous at first because I can’t swim. Sebastian was very kind and patient. He fed the stingrays so they followed us the whole time we were in the water. He taught us to respectful to the marine life so we can stay safe. It was an amazing experience and I highly recommend it

great experience. takes you out to the coral gardens. the machines are extremely fun, you can dive down and cover some serious ground. they have 3 speeds.

Lifetime experience. Sebastian and the captain were very nice. They took us to amazing lagoons, we saw many different fishes, shark, turtle, stingray. With the sea scooters was easy to dive in and not to get tired. They made professional video and photos for us. It was amazing. And very good price. Thank you for the everyring.

Great fun for me and my 14 year old daughter. A different way of snorkeling, that was both exciting and felt safe. Very good, polite and fun instructor. A super time in the lagoon with many diverse spiecies to watch.

Fantastic opportunity to glide through the water with ease. Lots of things to see. We both struggled with the choppy seas on the day however still enjoyed the experience . The 2 different places we went to were great and the species we saw beautiful. Both the guide and captain were welcoming, helpful and informative. We had a great time and suggest to anyone to give it a go.

Great experience. Easy to use scooters. Covered lots of territory. Saw lots of fish, coral and rays. Recommend if you are debit over 70 and are tiring. Great guide.

Cool way to cruise around and see a variety of sea life. My husband’s mask leaked so he didn’t really enjoy the experience because hie couldn’t see through the fog and water in the mask. They did give him a 50 percent refund. It was a really windy and mostly cloudy day so the water was really choppy. Recommend going on a calm day for a better experience..

When we were planning excursions to do in Tahiti, the Sea Scooters was at the absolute top of my list. I am so glad we had the opportunity to experience it, as well as purchase the video package. Nico did a great job of finding amazing sea life for us to see, and really made the entire experience a great pleasure! Since the experience, we have recommended it to all the other guests we’ve spoken with!

Really liked the full snorkel mask. We saw a tremendous variety of fish, sharks, eels, rays and a tiger fish. Drive instructor and boat captain were great, helpful and informative. Would highly recommend this tour.

The coral garden in front of Sofitel hotel is fantastic, full of different colored fish and corals. The guide is easy to follow with the jet scooters. Then the stop at the motu allows to show rays and more fish. Scuba gears and diving suits are provided if you do not have your own.

-I can't say enough good things about Nico who was the dive master and the boat captain. They were so patient, kind, and educational. -Nico explained everything thoroughly about how to use the scooter and made sure our masks, wetsuits, and fins fit us comfortably and correctly. They were very safety-oriented which I appreciated as a non-swimmer. They gave me a life vest to make me feel more secure. -Unlike the basic ones you borrow for free at hotels, their mask is a full face mask with a one-way vent so it's very difficult for water to get in your mouth or your eyes (but it could still happen). -Unfortunately, we didn't see any turtles on the day of our excursion but we saw a lot of different fish and several sting rays. Those sting rays know Nico and swam right up to him and frolicked with him! It turns out Nico has been feeding them daily for the last 15 years. No wonder they like him! -A caveat: Despite other reviewers saying you can do this easily even if you're not a swimmer, I would suggest you evaluate whether or not you are comfortable in water where your feet will not touch the bottom. It turns out I was not. I actually completely freaked out once I got in the water and went into full panic mode. And this is why I'm heaping lots of praise on Nico and the captain. Nico gently took me by the arm, talked me through it, and brought me back to the boat where the Captain took over and chatted me up until I calmed down and was willing to try again. He also told me little kids and 92 year old non-swimmers do this excursion all the time. That didn't help me - lol! - but I understood his point. It's totally safe - especially with a life jacket on - if you're not too chicken like me. I spent the whole time on the boat but it was still awesome just being on that gorgeous water and watching my family have fun.

Everything about this was amazing. I recommen anyone in the area go and have a go and get the photos as well .my husband said of all the excursions I've arranged for him this is one of the best he has done. The staff were great

This was a fantastic experience. The sea scooters are easy to use, the coral was beautiful and we saw so many fish. The dive master was very attentive to the group and the boat captain was a blast. We went to two sites, swam with a very friendly string ray. It's a great experience . I also liked the smaller group

It was my first time snorkeling with a scooter and it is a blast! Plus the new full face masks give you a much broader view. So much easier to get a closer look at the amazing tropical fish and the coral.

We have been snorkelling for many years but this is the first time we used sea scooters. We had a blast! That was sooo fun and we truly enjoyed it. The reef was spectacular! Our guide was kind and knowledgeable. We certainly recommend this one to all our friends

The guides were really friendly and accommodating. We saw a small shark, and a bunch of sting rays that kept following the guide. There were lots of different fish and coral everywhere. The sting rays were definitely the highlight.

This was the highlight of our trip to Moorea. The crew was great. The instructor was detailed and made us feel welcome and safe. We saw lots of fish and coral. Mooreea is a unique spot enhanced by mobility of scooter. Nicholas took us to 2 spots and the mantas and other fish came. Bucket list. Second spot swam with manta into drop off.

First time in a wetsuit at 74year old. Have done many snorkeling adventure in my lifetime from Australia to Belize and many times in Hawaii. This was so amazing being able to see so much in just few hours. Took my 50 year old children they were so happy so happy they went. Feel like you’re swimming with the beautiful fish. Would do again!!!

We did this tour from the Sofitel Hotel, Moorea. Niko, our guide, was the best. He fitted us all with wetsuits and full-face snorkeling helmets, took time to explain how to work the sea scooters and was very patient with all questions and concerns. The sea scooters let you travel faster than swimming and Niko takes you to 2 spots, including Jardin de Corail (Coral Gardens) which is a small motu (island). The corals there are spectacular and you are surrounded by schools of fish, three adorable sting rays and turtles. We even swam with black-tipped sharks (who are shy and keep their distance). This is a different experience at the beautiful coral reefs of Moorea and a must do in my opinion. Niko is an expert guide and kind tour operator. Swimming with schools of brightly colored tropical fish will be a memory worth cherishing.

This was a great trip in that you got a boat ride to two places in the lagoon, skimming over shallow, super clear water. The second, at the south of the island was by far the best with tame sting rays and towards the end, a steep drop off into a very deep part of the lagoon. The operator suppliers full face snorkel/masks which my family and I found leaked, required somewhat shallow breathing and on some of them you couldn’t squeeze your nose to equalize. On second dive I used my own standard mask snorkel combo and that was MUCH better. I get it that the full face combination is probably a less hassle option for the operators who probably have a lot of first time snorklers. But, In my view the operator should supply a choice of mask/snorkel design. My recommendation is to bring your own if you’ve ever snorkled before.

These guys were awesome!!! the Short Captain and Nico...the crew at the dive shop there at the Sofitel...they ran a great show...we got a good price for a 2 hour excursion, and we sprang for the video and photo package...the quality of the vid / pic package was "national geographic quality"...it was very personal and reflected everything our trip was about...i can't say enough on this one...it rated at the top of our list for our experiences in the islands and all but the best money spent on our trip...do this if you have the chance...

The staff was fun and friendly, gave clear instructions, provided all equipment and took great care of everyone. The scooters are simple to operate and create a sensation of "flying" through the water. This is an easy tour that will allow you to see some great coral gardens and won't consume your entire day. You won't be disappointed.

Lot of fun. Saw hundreds of fish. (though most were very small and a couple of large ones). Manuu our guide gave great instruction and went out of his way to take care of a couple of 70 years.

Guide Nicholas and boat captain Manu were both fantastic! I'd never used a sea scooter before, and they made it feel safe & easy to understand. There was so much sea life to see, I almost couldn't believe it was real. Definitely one of the highlights of our whole time in French Polynesia.
