Moorea Lagoon Tour By Transparent Kayak

Amazing morning with a great guide! The excursion was perfect! 🤍

We had an absolute joy on this excursion kayaking around Moorea! Our guide was incredible and fun to be with during the duration of our trip. We kayaked a total of ~2 miles, with a stop along the way in shallow water for a juice tasting that the guide had brought with him. We then rode off to the snorkeling area where we were able to jump in and swim around with sharks and sting rays. I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a bit of exercise with a great view and fun time around the water!

It was a relaxing way to view a lot of fish! Our guide, Hugo knew just where to take us to avoid the strong current and to see lots of fish!

This was one of my favorite things we did in Moorea. We opted for the sunset clear bottom kayaking and snorkeling. The kayaks are for 2 people, but we had an uneven number so I was alone. It was a little difficult alone because of the current but I pushed on and our guide helped me about halfway through but offered from the start. We kayaked for a bit and stopped for drinks in a shallow spot and we were offered rum with mango juice or NA pineapple juice. After that we headed toward the area where sharks, rays, and some fish like the hang out at. This was the best part! I thought I would be scared but the animals couldn’t care less that you are swimming with them. It was magical to see them in their natural habitat like that, all the creatures are so gorgeous. If you think you’ll be nervous just test out standing by kayaks, the spot we go is shallow enough to stand the entire time but still deep enough to snorkel. The sunset was for of course too. Thanks to our wonderful guide for the help and making the experience amazing. There was plenty of parking, you’ll pull up to a gate with a guard and then he will tell you where to go. There’s a shower for a quick rinse after the experience. They offered dry bags and a place to store extra things you didn’t want in the kayak. Everything in the kayak will get wet! Enjoy!

We had so much fun on this tour! Snorkeling with the sharks and rays was one of the highlights of our trip, our guide was so nice and knowledgeable, and the views were spectacular. Can't recommend this experience enough!

Wonderful kayaking experience with super nice guide. The clear kayaks made for a uniquely cool experience - we saw quite a few sharks and stingrays FYI - the kayaks ride low in the water, so they require more effort that traditional kayaks.

The guide was great, very informative.

We were able to ask questions about Moorea. Then we kayaked out to a gorgeous photo spot and had a drink out of coconuts standingup to our knees in clear blue, warm water. Then we were helped out of the kayak in a canal to snorkel. The fish were feeding, all different colours and sizes, while we floated with the current down to a sandy bottom area where we could stand, surrounded by coral gardens. We saw reef sharks close around us and sting rays. Our magnifique guide, Manu, fed the sting ray by hand so we touched the sting rays slimy face while he was eating. The tern birds were diving, it was a crazy experience, feeding frenzy. Loved this tour. Thank you to Manu.

We had such a wonderful experience on this lagoon tour. The guide was incredibly kind and patient, especially when helping us get comfortable with kayaking. It was windy with strong waves, the guide tied our kayak to his kayak to help us get to the destination. It made a big difference and allowed us to fully enjoy the experience. The pineapple juice provided was very fresh. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking, with crystal-clear water and stunning views in every direction. One of the highlights was getting to see sharks and stingrays up close, which felt both thrilling and surreal. Overall, this tour was the perfect mix of relaxation and adventure. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Mo’orea!

We had a wonderful time on this tour!! Our guide was very knowledgeable about the rays, sharks and fish. We visited three different snorkeling spots one with turtles, one near Coco Beach one with rays and sharks. We loved this adventure and even got a great workout :). Would highly recommend it!

The tour excursion was more than we expected. Both physically and figuratively. We might have been just a bit too old for them. Our guide was great though. He seen our needs and made sure we were taken care of. We got to stop to snorkel where we seen sharks, sting rays, and a mass variety of other ocean inhabitants. The kayaks are exactly as pictured. Was really need to glide over the coral and reefs. Bad weather was moving in and our guide got us back just before the downpour. After we all sat under a pavilion waiting for our rides where the guide had great conversation and spoke English well. I would definitely recommend this to my fit friends.

Our guide was on time, super friendly and accommodating. The trip was as described. And we just had the two of us so it was private.

Very nice experience. It was not windy so we could really see even in the deepest parts of the water. Amazing colors, amazing tour, amazing memories.

Yes we enjoyed our tour very much, most spectacular sceneries and up close and personal with the shark and stingray, etc. Hugo our guide was most helpful and accommodating. He offered us drinks and banana cake that he baked himself that morning

This was one on the beat ways to experience the islands and waters of French Polynesia. Our guide Hugo was engaging, knowledgeable, and profession. We felt safe at all times. We were able to engage with the stingrays and sharks, a big bonus! It was a fabulous tour as we basked in the natural beauty of the island's waters. I would highly recommend this excursion!

Nice experience despite unexpected rainshower right when we started. Our guide Hugo adapted to the situation and let us spend more time swimming in the lagoon and watching the stingrays and sharks.

Had a great time kayaking the lagoon for a couple hours in clear kayaks. They gave us fruit juice, then we swam/snorkeled around with sharks and stingrays . Brought two kids under 10 with no issues - they loved it.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Great tour guides that were easy going and knowledgeable. The tour was the perfect amount of time and we enjoyed the opportunity to get out of the kayak and swim with fish, sharks and stingrays.

We really enjoyed the tour. The leader was very friendly and the snorkeling was great! We really liked the last part when we snorkeled with sharks and manta rays. Pretty cool!

We had the most amazing experience on this tour! Our guide was fantastic! He was so friendly and personable from start to finish, and he really let us experience the snorkeling and hospitality of the Tahitian islands firsthand. We got to stop at not one but TWO snorkeling spots on our tour, and we also stopped by a beach and our tour guide gave us fruit juice and rum as well as brownies and bananas! We got to see sharks and stingrays , as well as a huge variety of fish while snorkeling in the two spots we stopped . I cannot recommend this tour enough to anyone here visiting! Please give it a try, you will not regret it! Thank you to our wonderful guide for making our experience so wonderful. We love Moorea!

Truly an amazing experience! My sister and I booked the sunset kayak lagoon tour and it was such a magical experience. The views are phenomenal, and you get a really intimate experience being up close and personal with the wildlife. Hugo and team were great, definitely recommend this to anyone visiting the island!

Awesome way to enjoy the water and scenery. Hugo was very helpful since we weren’t great kayakers. We enjoyed this tour, the water, scenery, fish, stingrays, and sharks. The color of water and the softness of the sand were delightful.

Be prepared to paddle , especially if it’s windy. The guide will tow you if you like, though. The water is incredible, literally the colour of blue Gatorade! Well worth the money! We went out on the reef/lagoon and literally swam amongst stingrays and black-tip sharks. It was amazing .

The location is absolutely stunning and we got to enjoy some delicious drinks and even see a few sharks! Minus one star just because the tour guides weren’t terribly engaged, but overall a great experience!

Fantastic tour! We loved every minute of it. The snorkeling was the best of the trip and it was gratifying that we got there on our own power rather than by stinky, noisy boat or jet ski. Our guide, Moana, was funny and knowledgeable. We enjoyed spending time with him!

Hugo was an incredible local guide for the area. He provided a fun, chill experience of a lifetime. Our weather couldn’t have been better and we got to experience sharks, rays all close up. He did a great job and felt really exclusive to what we wanted to do and how we wanted to spend our time.

Our time out on the water with Hugo was a highlight of our stay in Mo'orea! It turned out that my 16-year-old daughter and I were the only ones signed up for the 9AM tour, but Lagoon Explorer still honored our reservation and we ended up enjoying a private excursion. If you don't mind using manpower to get there, it's a more economical way to see the lagoon (rays/sharks) and snorkel the reef between the motus. The transparent kayak moves more like a canoe so takes a bit more paddling power, but it was cool to see the coral and fish underneath and to be surrounded by the otherworldly turquoise water as we paddled along. Both of the snorkeling stops were fantastic. Would definitely recommend this activity if you can handle moderate exercise. Thank you, Hugo, for making our time in the lagoon so special!

You arrive at a gate where there is absolutely no one there, and they will not let you in the gate until the time of your tour .so do not be early .very upsetting as we could’ve just sat down by the boat area instead of on the road in the hot sun that was very annoying because there was people there.

The best part of our experience was a very accommodating and courteous guide. Took us to best places of snorkeling. We took multiple pictures. Most importantly was very sensitive to our strengths and limitations. Strongly recommend for any age and physical fitness.B

Our family went on this transparent kayak tour just recently. The tour was about 3-4 hours and price was very reasonable. We stopped and snorkled at about 2-3 spots and we saw tropical fishes at each spot. Life jacket was provided. We had trouble moving the kayak, so the guide connected our kayak to theirs, so we got a free ride. This experience definitely worths every penny.

AhhhMazing excursion. Christel was fantastic. Took excellent care of us newbie snorkelers. Taught us alot about Moorea and the environment He clearly loves what he does. Cake and mangoes were a nice surprise. We STRONGLY recommend Nemoz and have told everyone we run into not to miss it!!!

Loved, loved, loved. We had the best guide with us. Just my husband and I. He kept up so engaged and entertained. Talked to us about the island’s custums and history. It was truly a delight…Got some amazing pictures from sunset. Definitely recommend.

The swiming with stingrays and sharks had been on a few people's bucket list for a while. Checked and Done! The guides were nice, down to earth, guys.

Overall good but not easy trip. This was a workout and not a lazy kayak trip. Got to see rays up close and have them swim and touch our feet which was an amazing highlight but it was windy and that made it hard to kayak. Just and FYI that Snorkeling will provide you a better view than the transparent kayak. View through boat was a more hazy than snorkeling. But you could still make things out.

The best guides! Our tour was not a sunny day but the water was still insanely beautiful and it was a great time. We stopped at a cute island which gave a great view of Mo’orea as well! 10/10 would recommend💙
