Land And Sea Cultural Tour To Discover Traditions, Heritage And The Lagoon

Communication was excellent & we met the boat in the harbour. Wonderful guides, easy to understand & very funny. First we swam with the reef sharks & sting rays. This is an amazing experience. Then deep water swimming with turtles. 3rd stop was in the shallows to feed the fish with bananas. Lunch was then supplied sitting at pick tables in the water & feeding the sting rays. As I have had 2 knee replacements I did struggle a little getting in & out of the boat but guides were very helpful. Highly recommend this tour company.

The snorkeling was definitely the highlight of this tour. The guides started with a deep water snorkel where we saw sea turtles and many other fish. The next stop was in shallows where you could get very close to both sting rays and black tip reef sharks. It was also very popular with all of the tours in the area. So if you are disappointed with snorkeling in shallow waters where you see more legs than fish this may not be for you. However the upside is you can get very close, and are safe, to the sting rays. The lunch was good, but the island away from the shore is private land and in this case was quite derelict with a lot of trash and garbage. If you stay near the water it is very nice and the sting rays come round so you can feed them and pet them.

Great tour for young old! I’m terrible with names but we absolutely loved these guys! The narrator gave us numerous stories and history of their beginnings and culture. We snorkeled in several different places and actually swam with stingrays and sharks. The lunch was amazing as we sat on picnic tables in the water. Numerous stingrays and sharks swam around us while we ate. You will love this experience!

We had an unforgettable experience with Rai as our guide and Mana, the boat pilot. They are both kind and fun and Rai provided wonderful cultural and historical information about the island he grew up on and the history of his people on the island. We did plenty of snorkeling at our leisure and were lucky enough to see huge amount of dolphin, rays, turtles and beautiful fish all around and also famous underwater tikis of a local sculptor. The sights of both the Cook’s Bay and Opunohu Bay from the boat are breathtaking. We were delighted with the experience and would do it again in a heartbeat. Mauruuru, Rai and Mana!

Wo and Michel were the best tour guides we could ask for. They were hospitable, funny, nice, accommodating and knowledgeable. They were also a lot of fun & taught us about Moorea’s history and culture. We had a few snorkeling experiences that my husband loved (I’m not a strong swimmer so I stayed on the boat with Wo and still had a great time!) I did momentarily go in though to see sharks and sting rays which was pretty incredible, not to mention, my favorite, the turtles coming up for air! I really enjoyed the lunch too. It was delicious along with the opportunity to eat lunch with our legs in the water while sting rays continued to swim underneath our feet. It was fun! The cultural part at the end was also fun. Learning about the plants, medicinal uses, and culture of the Moehi, people. It was educational and profound. Tip: please bring cash with you. We made that mistake and didn’t get to tip our guides who went above and beyond. These guides work hard and deserve tips too, so please bring cash.

This is a snorkeling tour, yet there is nothing on the website description indicating that part of the experience. Bring your gear and wear a swimsuit. We didn’t and missed out on the snorkeling. The website needs to be updated to fully describe what this trip entails. The views of the island from the lagoon were nice and the lunch was good. Rays swam under your feet while you ate. The tour operators were also not planning to bring us to the cultural center, so we had to ask to see it. The center is fairly sparse and there’s not much there. Bottom line - this would have been a much better experience had we known snorkeling was involved.

This was supposed to be a land and sea cultural tour. The land component was canceled with no prior notification, the lectures regarding culture, traditions, and heritage were conducted in French and I am an English speaker who is not bilingual. This ended up being a snorkeling trip and I dressed for a land excursion with no snorkeling equipment. Consequently, I bobbed in a boat for 7 long hours listening to a language that I didn't understand.

We were so surprise about how diverse, educational and yet fun this tour was! I thought it was going to be a long day for being in the water on a boat but it passed so fast so much fun we were having! Stephane and Maui are so personable and fun and they really care about your comfort. It was really a unique tour with a couple of really neat surprises ( I wont spoil it for you by spelling it out..) The memories made on this tour will stay with us for years to come!

FABULOUS tour that really stands out from the other tours we took. Stephan is a caring and knowledgeable guide that truly cares about his clients and the environment of Moorea. The spots that he takes you to visit are amazing. We truly had the perfect day! I highly recommend.

I booked the 100% lagoon excursion and it was the highlight of my stay in Moorea. The team gives us a wonderful and warm welcome, making everyone feel comfortable immediately. The atmosphere throughout the day is excellent and authentic. The captain takes us to beautiful spots where the underwater life is incredible (rays, sharks, and colorful fish in crystal-clear water). The highlight of the show: a delicious local lunch shared with our feet in the water amidst a postcard-perfect setting. Everything was perfect, a big thank you for these memorable memories. I recommend it 100%!

An absolutely fabulous day with Moorea Tiki Tour! Small boat, small group, friendly atmosphere, and high-quality service from start to finish. We discovered the beautiful bays of Cook and Opunohu by boat, with the incredible bonus of observing dolphins. Lunch on Motu Tiahura was also a true pleasure: a beautiful plate generously filled, with our feet in the water, as the rays gently tickled our feet. Excellent Welcoming. An unforgettable ride. Kindness of Stéphane who picked me up and showed me around the island before meeting an incredible crew through his kindness, his sense of hospitality and his attention to others. I enjoyed exceptional conditions as I was alone on the boat and I was able to discover snorkelling, accompanied and safely , a sublime environment and my first encounter with a mantra ray, black-spawned sharks and turtles. Visite du centre culturel de MOOREA et fabrication d'un tapa. Très bon historique de la culture et des légendes polynésiennes. A recommander sans hésitation.
