Half-day Big Fishing In Moorea On Shared Tour

They guys were great and we got to pull in 2 albacore! We even got to see some spinner dolphins and a turtle! What a great experience! Thank you again!

We had such an incredible experience with a very safe and knowledgeable crew. Learning traditional fishing from an Elder of Moorea was a highlight - and catching a HUGE tuna! Would definitely recommend.

What a fun trip in early June! We were the only passengers onboard, got lucky it was basically a private trip. We trolled, because line fishing hasn’t been great lately (according to the captain) and caught a wahoo and a marlin (which got off the hook). Captain and first mate were great and even provided some drinks along the way. It is a 20’ boat and getting out of the reef are some big waves so if you do get seasick easily I would prepare yourself.

complete waste of time. first off, the guide told us it was a "fishing trip for 2", note this is not a trip for 2, its not a private tour - it is a shared tour with several other strangers. we wasted 45 minutes picking up other guests and then got dropped off in a completely different area and had to spend 30 minutes in the car driving back. the 4 hour fishing trip was actually 3 hours. there is also barely any fishing involved, they do all the work and you only bring it in if there is a bite. basically didnt do any trolling either. i wouldn't waste your $ on this outfit, book elsewhere! not recommended - one of the worst fishing trips ive had anywhere in the world.

It was nice. 2 man crew were nice guys. Just didn’t catch any fish ! Only got 1 hookup. Very slow day. Expected to a least catch a few ? Nothing I won’t do a half day again. Seems like it ties their hands on where to go b

They were very friendly and informative before and during the excursion!! We were super happy with our catch, they definitely know what they are doing as far as boating in the open ocean and catching fish!!! I would absolutely rebook with them if we ever make it back to Moorea!!

We made a booking fairly last minute for my son how’s an avid fisherman. We ended up getting a yellowfin tuna. We had them fillet it and then the restaurant at the hotel made a sashimi appetizer and cooked an entree. We had to much we fed 8 other tables. Everyone raved about it. The guys on the boat were very insightful, helpful and full of local knowledge. We saw plenty of tiger fish including Marlin but didn’t manage to catch those

Great trip, knowledgeable staff, great views and overall fun with an Easy pickup. Caught one fish and it was not an easy boating day with heavy surf but still a great experience. Loved the views from outside the reef.

Matahi was very accommodating and very knowledgeable about the fishing. He answered all questions and explained fishing strategies and history with us around the area. Id recommend this service and trip to anyone that enjoys fishing

Had a fantastic outing with Ateni. This is a well seasoned crew that will certainly put you on the fish. I would highly recommend booking a charter with Ateni, we will undoubtedly fish with him again the next time we are in Tahiti/Moorea.

One of the best days of our trip to Moorea! The guides were very knowledgeable and friendly. Although it was a calm day and the fish weren’t biting, they seemed determined to find us a catch. They took us around to a few different locations, and we ended up catching one fish each- a wahoo and a skipjack tuna! We later learned that they were known by other locals to be excellent fishermen. Definitely recommend!

My 10 year old son and I took a 4 hour morning trip out w/ Captain Gael and his mate looking for big game fish. It was a great trip. We caught a nice blue marlin, which was a bucket list experience for me, and my son was euphoric. Gael and his mate were great hosts: very knowledgeable, accommodating and obviously deeply experienced. Once we were back, they cleaned the fish and that night we had it for dinner, which was really fun for our family. Even if we hadn’t landed a fish, I’d still wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. It’s amazing being out on the water away from Moorea and Tahiti, and Gael is the perfect guide. We even spotted some humpbacks from a distance on our way in. I hope we get back to Moorea someday soon, and booking another trip with these guys will be a top priority. Mauruuru!

My wife and I visited Moorea in March and went fishing with Moorea Fishing Adventures. We had an outstanding time and caught three large tuna. We liked our trip much that we went back in July for a two week stay and went out a second time with Moorea Fishing adventures and caught two more large tuna. The captain and crew are very professional and friendly, and we had such a delightful time that we will be returning next year and plan on fishing with them again. It was a lot of fun…,

Perfect I every way. However I was surprised that they did not clean the fish we caught and give us fillets. We got two pieces of the tail with the skin on.

Unforgettable fishing trip! We were lucky enough to bring up a magnificent 25 kg tuna, but beyond the catch, it was mainly human and cultural experience that marked us. The crew introduced us to a traditional Polynesian fishing method: an exceptional moment, imbued with respect for the sea and sharing. What a great day fishing with my wife, with a crew of Moorea natives who know their spot at their fingertips! At first, we trolled with little result, then they decided to go back to traditional hand fishing, and that choice paid off. Day in Review: 5 large catches of tuna (yellow and blue), with an average weight of 20-25 kg each. I highly recommend them. Do not hesitate to contact them, they will make you live an unforgettable experience at sea!
