Guided Excursion In 4x4 In Moorea Between Land And Sea

Heinuru drove us around, explaining our plan, and had a very charismatic personality. The trip was very interactive, giving us some free snacks and some liquor tasting at a local bar. He also took us for lunch afterwards where the cost was include in the tour, food was amazing! We ended the tour with seeing and touching these large freshwater eels, it was a really cool experience. We were also given the option to spend some time at the beach! We had a great time and would recommend this tour to anyone in the area!

For the price you can't beat it. Operated by a local. Ate Pokémon at his sister's roadside Cafe. Followed by black pearl education buy his mother at her pearl shop.

The tour was excellent. Heirani owns and operates the tour. He’s very attentive & knowledgeable and educates you on local history. He picked us up at the cruise port & returned us there. I will note that he was the only driver that I observed to drive the final 200 yards up Magic Mountain in reverse, which definitely made exiting easier. Tour highlights: -Picked up at cruise port -Magic Mountain -Belvedere lookout -Local jam & pineapple tasting -Pineapple plantation -River eels (a lot bigger than expected) -Local distillery (tasting & gift shop) -Black pearl shop (you get a discount from the marked price) & provided poke bowl lunch. -Local public beach (he took the people that didn’t want to stay back to the cruise port & returned later for those that wanted to stay at the beach) -Back to cruise port

We had a great day getting to see and understanding the island. Ride was comfortable and there were refreshments and restroom stops. We started the day with coconut milk donuts that were very fresh and delicious 🤤 We got to see everything from the tour that we wanted and he accommodated our request to go to the Te Fare Natura museum. Our tour was amazing! We saw the best views, and our tour was even extended a couple hours at no additional cost to make sure we saw the everything on the itinerary. Our poke bowls for lunch were DELICIOUS, and included in the price. Would book again!

Heirani was a great tour guide. He did a great job driving and explaining the places we went. The eels were super fun and interesting and the views were breathtaking. We also went to a great pizza spot for lunch that didn’t disappoint. He is very in tune with the local culture and the people. Everyone was welcoming and happy to have us. It was a bit more expensive but we decided last minute and would definitely do it again. We also traveled as a family and he is definitely a family man. We talked about his wife and kids and shared some stories. If you are looking for someone that gives you all the local sights and feelings of being treated like a local then this is the one. 10/10 would recommend.

This was a last minute decision to take ferry on a Sunday to Moorea. It was one of the higher priced 4x4 with water options but well worth it. Sunday is normally a religious & family day so not as many tour options. . Our guide picked us up at the Moorea Ferry at 8:00 am and kept us busy until 3:00 drop off. Pineapple farms, Eels in the stream, Magic Mountain climb to the top and perfect ending with 2 hours on the clear blue beach were all great. Tour guide takes you to his cousins restaurant for lunch so you can choose either the traditional raw fish in coconut juice or pick from the menu. Drinks & plenty of fruit provided. His wife just had a baby so we learned so much about family life on the islands. Even got to see this precious baby.

Really enjoyed the tour of the island. Heirani is a great tour guide. He took us to a black sand beach/cove, pineapple fields, breathtaking view points, see eels, shopping and a public beach. One of the highlights was lunch which was included at his family's restaurant. We had grilled steak and chicken and it was the best that we had on our entire 14 day trip. We highly recommend this tour. Thank you Heirani for making it a great experience. Hopefully we can return one day.

Heirani was the sweetest person and the best driver. He was very careful driving up the hills. Going slow over bums to the beautiful views. He was very good about explaining what we were going to do and see. The places he took us were so cool and beautiful. Even the eels were really cool. Heirani let us touch them. Unfortunately, a bus ran into his truck at a viewpoint. That was not cool. We helped Heirani tie the bumper back on and he finished the tour. He takes very good care of his truck, and it was comfortable and clean. We all had a great time.

This experience was absolutely amazing. And our guide went above and beyond for us all day! 15/10 recommend!

Amazing tour! Heirani was a great guide - friendly, fun, informative, accommodating! Ferry dock pick up right on time and more than a 6 hour tour. Nice vehicle for getting around the island and we were able to experience land and sea. Multiple photo opportunities, Belvedere, Magic Mountain, pineapple plantations, got to “pet” the eels, local fruit tasting, swam at a beautiful beach, pearl shop, yummy fish lunch at a local spot (best we’ve had since being in French Polynesia - so far 7 days) and rum punch throughout the trip! Moorea is beautiful! Highly recommend this tour with Heirani!

This is a wonderful tour of the island. Your host and driver is very pleasant and speaks excellent English, French and French Polynesian. We saw all the main sights by land in a very comfortable 4x4 vehicle. I highly recommend

I cannot recommend this tour with Heirani enough. Yes, you will pay a bit more than other 4x4 tours but it is 100% worth it as Heirani has a level of communication, sincerity, knowledge, passion, and know-how that other tour operators in Moorea do not. His comfortable jeep protects you from the sun and Heirani always makes sure you stay hydrated with water, juice, and alcohol always available. His level of expertise was evident when he adeptly drove backwards up the trail to Magic Mountain (unlike the other 4x4s) to make it easier to go down the mountain. Heirani takes you to a variety of beautiful places (including a pearl shop owned by his family, juice factory, multiple viewpoints and maraes) and his explanations as well as flexibility truly make this a once-in-a-lifetime tour on such a beautiful island. We ended our trip with a beautiful trip to the beach and a fantastic lunch with recently spearfished Mahi-Mahi that was SO fresh at a local oceanside locale. I wholeheartedly recommend this tour to anyone coming to Moorea. It was a magical experience!

Enjoyed this tour and it was not too difficult for older people. Guide was friendly and informative. We had plenty of time to cover the island. The only thing that could be an improvement, a little less shopping stops and more island scenery

Our day with Heirani was an excellent experience. He communicated with us prior to our tour and was very responsive when we had questions. Heirani was on time and took a few minutes to see if there was anything special that we wanted to see. His tour truck is new and in excellent shape. Heirani provided water and snacks. There was also a very nice rum punch available. On rough roads, he was careful and operated the vehicle, so the ride was comfortable. At each of our stops he answered questions and gave personal insights into life on Moorea as well the history of Polynesia. Overall, it was clear that Hierani is a motivated tour professional who takes pride in his work and his native land. After our tour, we felt that we had better understanding of Moorea and its key features. Others have mentioned that this is a newer company but Heirani had years of prior experience with other tour operators before going on his own. If all of the other experiences that we have on this trip are this good, it will be a great trip indeed. We recommend highly.

Good compromise between land and sea to discover a beautiful part of the island. The only small caveat is the meal, which is not made by the operator, contrary to what is advertised, but at a snack bar. The couple of guides are pleasant and share the history of their island with us.

Thanks to Heirani, we were able to see unsuspected or inaccessible places in Moorea. It was a festival of discoveries: the bumpy climb to the Magic Mountain and its breathtaking viewpoint, the freshwater eels, the splendor of the pineapple fields site, the Marae steeped in history, the tastings of jam, pineapple, and mango... Heirani is a very attentive guide, happy to share his knowledge about the history, traditions, legends, but also the current life of his island. It was an excellent way to start our stay by soaking up Tahitian culture. Mauruuru Heirani!
