3-hour Snorkeling Tour

This was an excellent snorkelling trip. The boat only holds 14 people and has lovely comfortable lounges. We were watching other boats loaded with people and crammed in. Not on our boat... comfort plusp

This was honestly the most incredible snorkelling tour on a fantastic and comfortable boat. Nono was a stupendous guide and captain, the highlight of our trip was definitely swimming with the sharks and rays. If you're looking for a quality and relaxing snorkelling trio, we recommend this tour.

Really amazing tour! In just 3 hours, we managed to see stingrays, reef sharks, turtles, dolphins, and even whales. An incredible experience from start to finish, and definitely one of the highlights of our trip. Highly recommended! ⭐️⭐️

What a fabulous day in paradise! The boat was extremely comfortable. The guide no no was very helpful with my senior mother who has never been able to swim and helped her in the water. We saw so much sea life, beautiful fish and abundance of stingrays that came right up to us sharks and turtles. They cut up fresh fruit for us and were and they were very attentive and informative. I would do this trip again.

The boat was super comfortable BUT they were having difficulty with the engine of the boat and worked on it at all the stops !! We sat at the dock for 45 mins before we left and it continued to stall out the whole excursion !! Also smelled like gas and oil . We were very disappointed and it shortened the length of our trip !!!

Beautiful experience! Saw so much cool sea life (rays, sharks, fish, turtles, coral, etc.) The boat was quite nice, especially sitting on the upper deck. The cold juices and pineapple slices were a nice touch. Staff was very friendly and funny.

The tour was fine. If you’ve already done a lagoon tour in Bora Bora, I’d probably skip this one. What really brought this review down was the meeting location. It’s in an alley, and once you arrive you have to walk down to where the boat is, which is completely fine. The problem is that there were several large stray dogs roaming the area without collars or leashes. One of the dogs attacked my wife and badly injured her leg after we got off the boat. The tour guides did their best to clean the wound, but there wasn’t really any solution or assistance beyond that. We’ve traveled to more than 30 countries and have never experienced anything like this, so it’s not as though we were being careless. I hope the operator addresses the safety of the meeting area so future guests don’t have to go through the same experience.

Great trip and good for kids; they'll love the water slide. Fresh pineapple, guava, and bananas were cut for a snack.

We went in early July, great sunny and warm day. The guys are nice and kind, the boat is good enough for about 10 people. We went with 2 kids, a 7 yo and a 11month old, perfect for young travelers as well. We had an amazing time, the tour is taking to see turtles, sharks, mantas, coral garden and cook islands, the scenery is unreal! had fun on the slide as well! about 3 hours which I highly recommended! Thanks to the team!

We had a great time and the staff were so kind. My husband had back surgery in March and they helped him get in and out of the boat. We saw stingrays, reef sharks and sea turtles. I highly recommend this excursion!!!

This is a must do activity at Moorea! There are multiple colors of the ocean. You just cannot believe what you see!! Highly recommended and it was amazing with nice staffs

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 hour snorkeling tour! The boat was top notch, our guides were super friendly and knowledgeable. They loved sharing info about beautiful Moorea and the places they showed us. We swam with sharks, petted rays, saw sea turtles and amazing fish on the tour. This by far was an excellent tour. Nono and his right hand man were the best. The tritoon patio boat was spacious and very clean. Had an upper deck which was a while different look up there. We swam with sharks, stingrays and saw lots of turtles. I would highly recommend using this company for any excursion.

From Start to Finish we were spoiled. The boat was amazing, so comfortable and plenty of space. . Our crew "NoNo and Yesyes" made sure we had everything we needed. They even prepared a beautiful fresh fruit platter for us We would definitely use this company again. It was better than we expected.

I had an absolutely incredible experience on this three-hour lagoon tour—easily one of the highlights of my trip to Moorea! The guides were so kind, attentive, and service-oriented. They made sure everyone felt comfortable and safe, and they went above and beyond to make the experience special. They shared information about the marine life, pointed out turtles, and made sure we had amazing opportunities to see and even gently interact with stingrays and sharks. It felt both exciting and very well-guided. We were also taken to a beautiful, more private lagoon and beach area where we enjoyed delicious fresh fruit and juice. The setting was stunning, and everything felt relaxed and thoughtfully planned. I especially appreciated how personable the guides were—they took time to connect, share about their lives, and even helped take photos so we could fully enjoy the experience. I was also really impressed that one of the guides spoke three languages! Everything ran smoothly and on time, and the water and scenery were absolutely breathtaking. Overall, I am so, so happy I booked this tour. It was an unforgettable, up-close experience with sea life in a gorgeous setting. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Moorea—don’t miss it! The best way to spend a day in Moorea. Swimming, snorkeling and relaxing. Sharks, Rays, friendly hosts a super comfortable boat. My family were blown away! I had done this by myself two years ago and had to bring my family back to do the same!

A little more expensive than other operators but a lot more included. 12 passengers only, heaps of room on 2 desks, drinks and fruit included, waterside included.

fantastic snorkelling tour from start to finish. We were visiting from the UK as a family of four, with our 13- and 11-year-olds, and it suited all of us perfectly. The hosts were excellent—friendly, organised, and clearly passionate about what they do—and made everyone feel at ease. The boat itself was spacious and comfortable, with a limited number of guests, which made the whole experience feel relaxed rather than crowded. We were lucky enough to see multiple manta rays and plenty of sharks, which was a real highlight. The final stop around the coral was incredible, with dozens of different fish species—easily the most vibrant snorkelling spot of the trip. We also saw turtles coming up to take breaths; while you’re not allowed in the water with them (as they’re protected), the views from the boat—both lower and upper decks—are still brilliant. Fresh fruit platters and soft drinks were provided, which was a lovely touch. Overall, a really well-run, memorable experience that we’d highly recommend for families.

Can't recommend this company enough. We have used them twice. Nice spacious boat that only takes a small number of people. There was no over crowding. They porvide beverages and local fruits. This snorkeling trip was the highlight of their trip to Moorea.

We really enjoyed our morning. The fancy boat provided shade and comfort. Small group only about 10 of us. The two guides were knowledgeable and very friendly. We saw turtles, sharks, manta rays and a lot of other fish. Definitely recommend this operator.

We were totally amazed at the 3 sites the 2 (best friends since elementary school)owners took us to. We saw sharks, petted rays, saw lots of turtles and spent one hour at a coral garden. Excellent tour❤️

This was a nice morning snorkel trip. We snorkeled in 2 areas and saw many tropical fish. We also went to an area where we saw a lot of green turtles but could not snorkel there. They were good hosts and served us fresh fruit, coconut, and fresh juices and showed us how to open a coconut!

The tour was great! We saw stingrays, sharks, turtles, so many beautiful fish, and obviously stunning scenery. The crew was lovely and the small group size was perfect!

We took this tour today (March 8, 2026) and thoroughly enjoyed it. My 70 year old mother had no issue embarking, disembarking and even entering the water. This boat is easily accessible for someone with a cane and reasonable independent mobility. We were lucky enough to see several spinner dolphins on the trip to the rays and sharks. I dangled my feet off the side while others swam with the sharks and rays. We then proceeded to the turtle hangout where we spotted at least 6-7 giant green turtles swimming and surfacing. The water is so incredibly clear that decent photography is possible without having to get in the water. We finished the tour with about an hour at a beach with swimming/snorkeling which was enjoyed by all. With drinks and fresh fruit for the ride home, this was the most memorable excursion we’ve taken on our month long cruise. We will never hesitate to recommend Akivai Lagoon Adventures. They were an absolute pleasure to deal with, and communication was excellent even with last minute cruise itinerary changes leading to needing to be picked up at the ferry instead of the cruise tender pier.

Trip highlight! Took the family, youngest 2, and all had a great time. The boat ride alone seeing the spectacular blue water and scenery is worthwhile. Then to swim with rays and sharks, see the turtles and a snorkel stop between two small islands provided a great combination of activities. Our guides, Nono and Tema, were fun, kind and interactive. They hosted us to some delicious fresh fruits and a coconut cracking demo. Fairly priced and full of fun!

This was a wonderful tour on a beautiful, comfortable boat, kind of like a living room on the water. The crew/guides, Nono and Tema, were friendly and informative, getting us settled and letting us know right away what the plans were for the day. We glided away from the dock through beautiful waters around the northwest side of Moorea. We stopped a while to snorkel with sharks and rays, then continued to Opunohu Bay, where Tema explained some of the history and topography of the island. Next we traveled to a motu where we had plenty of time to explore the nearby coral gardens. Upon returning to the boat we found a platter of delicious freshly cut tropical fruit waiting for us. A short distance away we visited an area where green sea turtles hang out. We stayed for a while watching them diving and surfacing for air. Between the scenery, the water and the excellent guides we had an absolutely amazing day! Thank you!

Been on a cruise ship for a month and this is the highlight of my trip so far! Comfortable boat, great crew and spectacular lagoons to snorkel in! Thank you guys

We were picked up promptly. When we had questions, they were answered promptly. We had a great time snorkeling in Moorea!

The boat-pontoon made this trip a 5. It was beautiful!! And new!! There were only 10 people on board along with 2 crew. They were I formative and fun. We saw turtles, rays, black tip sharks and lots of fish. The coconut demo was awesome as was the fruit tray snack. This was a perfect day ….. with one exception. The snorkel gear was soooo crappy. It was cheap and worn out. Bring your own snorkel!! Our guides were NoNo and Tema. Both were great!

We had a fantastic few hours on this boat. Nono and Tete were great tour guides. We swam with mana rays and sharks ( everyone but me who jumped back on the boat when one came close 🙃) Others enjoyed though. Saw sea turtles and snorkeled in the coral. We had fresh fruit and coconut at the end. Really nice boat. Highly recommend.

We fully enjoyed the tour and felt a VIP service from the tour company. The boat is beautiful and the captain and his helper were friendly and helpful. The price was reasonable for someone who just want a short snorkeling trip.

Our tour was great! Very small group - 12 max. Guide spoke good English and provided a great deal of good information. Did some cruising with stops at 2 locations - one primarily for snorkeling and the other to swim (stand up in shallow water) with the stingrays, reef sharks, and other fish. Highly recommended this tour.

Highly recommend this excursion! The boat is a double decker and covered, great for too much sun or rain. Crew so helpful in gear, pointing out island landmarks, and helping us see and enjoy the sea life. Saw a ton of fish, rays, sharks, and a few turtles. We were picked up from the Hiltons deck, which was awesome! They cap the number of passengers, so it feels more luxurious and not the crazy budget snorkel tours you’ll pass by. If you want a quality experience, book this snorkel tour.
