We live in Hot Springs. Our home was struck by lightning and we lost everything. We stayed at this Double Tree location for a little over two weeks until we secured a rental property while our home was being rebuilt. We chose this location because my wife works at the animal hospital that is next door and it was very convenient especially since one of our vehicles had been damaged from the fire. The rooms were clean. The food at the restaurant was ok. (I literally tried everything on the menu, and it was good.) Overall, the staff was friendly. It was a decent stay, given the circumstances. Location is not very walkable. Its right on a very busy highway with little to no food options that are walkable. Reasons for the low review: 1. The night we checked in, we had our two small pups with us. A shih-tzu and a maltise. The lady who checked us in gave them both some love (they demand it). It wasn't a big secret that we had them. They were always with us. About a week into our stay, I get a call from the front desk and a lady said in a very snarky tone: "We have been made aware that you have dogs up there and you will be charged a non-refundable pet fee." I said, "Yes ma'am, we had them at check in. We knew this was a dog friendly hotel, and that's why we chose to stay here. We aren't trying to hide them. Just about everyone on your staff has met them." She replied "Thank you for that information" and hung up. 2. When we were checking out, I asked the lady at the front desk if my wife could use their EV charging station from time to time for our Tesla since ours was destroyed in the fire until we were able to get a replacement. (They are on backorder w/ Tesla) Our rental property was fairly close, so she'd just need it for a few hours a week at most. I offered to pay for the service whenever it was being used. She got the manager and they knew our situation and told me it wouldn't be an issue at all. They said no payment would be necessary. It was very very convenient being next door to where she worked. It gave us a bit of relief since there is not a single Tesla Supercharger in Hot Springs, and we have always relied on our home charger. This morning, she went into work, and put her car on the charger. A Hilton employee walked in the BACK DOOR of the animal hospital and demanded she move her car. This was an employee entrance that led to the surgery area. They didn't even have the common sense to use the customer entrance. It was extremely rude and unprofessional. She called me in tears telling me what had just happened. I couldn't believe it. Needless to say, I will not be staying here or recommending this location to anyone I know. A very nice experience was ruined by the incompetence of a few. Update 08/24 Someone from Double Tree reached out to the animal hospital and apologized. Nice gesture, but I have yet to hear from them and they are responding to every other review except this one. We spent over four thousand dollars during our two week stay and we cannot even get an apology. That just blows my mind honestly.

Our room on the 3rd floor had a view of Lake Hamilton. The pool provided a nice spot to cool off for us in the evenings. The pool area was very well designed with covered lounging areas, umbrellas, lounger chairs, and tables. The staff and evening bar tender were helpful and friendly. The property also has a boat dock and green space with chairs and tables and even a grill outside. Finishes were new or nearly new and everything was in great condition. This property is well maintained. Nice place to stay!
The Doubletree in Hot Springs is very nice. From the lobby, to the hallways and to our room, everything was very clean. The staff was very helpful, too. Our room was cleaned every day we were there, which was unexpected. You don't see that anymore. Also, the pool and surrounding area was so nice. The only complaint we have is the breakfast. We misunderstood that it wasn't free. We ate anyway and the food was decent, but a bit overpriced for what we got. I will say, though, that the wait staff were absolutely wonderful! We really liked the location right on Lake Hamilton. It was quiet there, but we were still within close proximity to Bathhouse Row and all the activities there.
Definitely the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept on in a hotel. The whole hotels cleanliness was nice, however our mini fridge had 2 drinks (a Casey’s gas station water and a sparking water can so not complimentary from the hotel) in it upon arrival so I question how clean it actually is. All the staff was super helpful and friendly. Ordering delivery to the hotel room was super easy. They tell you upfront that the delivery drivers don’t have access to elevators so you do have to go to the lobby to get your food. Somehow our delivery driver was able to deliver straight to our room though so that was super nice! The room description's are also falsely advertised as we booked a Lakeview room and we got a highway view. You definitely have to read all things that look complimentary as they put water bottles in the room but unless you’re a higher tier rewards member they are $3 a piece. Overall though a decent hotel.
Hotel was clean rooms were nice. I had a nice view of the lake. Ariel was awesome from the front desk. The breakfast is paid only didn't feel the amount paid was worth it and I really was sad about the coffee and tea station not being there like other Hilton properties. The bar was pretty good actually overall my stay was relaxing and amazing.
