Miguel was excellent at communication and organization. We visited two very different but excellent wineries. The accompanying snacks/tapas were delicious. We learned a lot about the history of Uruguay and its winemaking tradition!

Highly recommend this tour. Miguel was a fabulous guide. So friendly & informative. We received a lot of info about Montevideo’s history and architecture. A pleasant bonus we did not expect. The winery was beautiful and the wine tasting was lovely. Delicious food paired with outstanding wines.

This tour met all of our expectations. Our guide, Miguel was excellent and very knowledgeable and passionate about wine making and his country. Shortly after I booked this tour, well ahead of the travel date, Miguel contacted me and continued to keep me informed to the date of the tour. We visited a lovely winery called Antigua Bodega Stagnari and met the head winemaker, Laura, who guided us through the many facets of producing wines here. We sampled several delicious wines along with a tasty selection of meats, cheeses & olives. Miguel also included a city tour of Montevideo before a timely return to our cruise ship. He is an exceptional guide who creates unforgettable memories for travellers who book his tours.

Miguel is a wonderful guide and took us to a one of the oldest wineries in Montevideo. We met the winemaker, owner, and the guide gave us a tour of the cellars and the wine making process, and there was TANNAT, as well as other wines they make. We had a wonderful lunch at the winery, and returned with plenty of time to return to the cruise ship with our limited time to visit the port. Would definitely contact Miguel again when I am there for a longer stay.

Communication with Miguel was easy and he was prompt with our meeting and exactly the right place. We had a brief tour of the city and drove out to the winery. The winery itself was very interesting and picturesque. The snacks we were given were plentiful. The wine was delicious, although the pores were a little light. We would definitely recommend this tour. We arrived back at the ship without incident.

Alexandro, who gave the tour from the vineyard, was great. She was informative and interesting to learn from. The wine was really good and “snacks” they provided were more than enough. We booked the tour through Miguel and he was a pleasure to deal with. Great with communication and when we had a problem with our initial driver he addressed it quickly.

Miquel is such a wonderful tour guide and was so flexible because our cruise ship changed our arrival time 3 times. The tour was so informative and we were provided lunch for a minimal cost. Well worth it. The wine was so good, we purchased some to take home. I highly recommend this tour.

Absolutely fantastic day with Miguel! Communication re the meet up was great and he even took the time to show us some of his incredible city. The Santa Rosa winery was incredible with an extensive tour and a lovely tasting with a good sized charcuterie for the two of us. Highly recommend this tour and Miguel always ready to offer knowledge and answer questions.
