This was an excellent excursion. We loved the visit to Museo Taller De Casapueblo. The time to explore the city was lovely. It was a beautiful day. The guide was wonderful and the driver was top notch.
Best way to get from Montevideo to Punta del Estes if you don't have a car rental. The two stops along the way were very nice. They picked me up at my hotel in Montevideo and drop me off at my hotel in Punta del Estes.
Very nice trip. Tour around Montevideo neighborhoods was an unexpected bonus. I specially enjoyed the Museum Casa Pueblo. Great Portuguese speaking guide.
Beautiful, relaxing, and well-planned trip. The two stops before reaching Puntal del Este were perfect, and visiting Casapueblo was the highlight of this trip. Plenty of time to have lunch and walk around. Guide and driver were courteous, nice, and knowledgeable. Highly recommended.
Great day visiting the beach city. Beautiful scenery and people. So happened thst the weather was absolutely perfect on the day of the visit. Ian our tour guide was excellent in guiding us through the tour. He was extremely knowledgeable on all things Uruguay.
The locations were okay, but the van wasn't comfortable, the driving wasn't smooth (or fast, but I think that's because of the speed limits). The guide, Marcela, was friendly but just kept droning on and on about SO MUCH, way too many details about uninteresting things, like telling us the years these buildings were built, how many people work in the hotels, what amenities each seaside community has, if the furniture is American... It was information overload, not curated at all. A constant running dialogue through a poor quality microphone, making it hard to understand (especially because she would switch from English to Spanish to Portuguese without alerting us). And then for at least 15 minutes towards the end, she did the same thing, but it was advertisements for restaurants / bars / tours, presumably that her company also offers. I didn't pay for a tour to hear ads, so I put my earphones in. Oh and finally, 40 minutes is not enough time for Casapueblo, which is expensive enough to get in ($15 US) and has a documentary that lasts for almost half the time you have there...
Best day of my life. The tour was incredible the views were incredible and breathtaking. The guide explained everything so well. I loved it.
Marcella was very friendly and the tour very well organised. Punta del este was beautiful. Very worth the money.
Pros Coach good quality and comfortable seats Guide did translate his talk to English for us Cons We were one of the first to be picked up at 8am then spent 2 hours picking up others 1st stop at pereapolis hill was 15 minutes 2nd stop at museum 30 minutes so no time to go in Eventually get to Punta del Este at 1.30 to leave again at 4pm Dropped back at 7pm 7 1/2 hours travel is too long Suggest you take local bus then you can spend the day in Punte del Este
This trip was misleading because it was advertised that Puente De La Barra is included in the itinerary and in reality it was not. I took this trip just because of the Puente De La Barra! I had to take a taxi to go to see that bridge! I want my money back!
The bus was packed, and we passed some nice places only by bus instead of having 10 min walk around them. Unfortunately, we had 3hr free time at punta del este when 2 hrs were more than enough and the extra hour could've been spread on other locations instead of passing by them by the but. The guide was friendly.
We loved Casapueblo and punta del Este and especially our tour guide Marcela! Not only was she a wealth of information about the area but she was also very helpful giving us tips and guidance.
Great excursion exploring the coast of Rio de la Plata and ending in beautiful Punta del Este. Marcella was a fantastic guide explaining in 3 different languages. She made sure everyone was comfortable and having a good time. Thank you Marcella.
Too much time collecting travelers from their hotel. Not enough time at art museum, too much free time in Punte del Este. Guide's English was horrible, and her narration filled with inane details.
We had a lovely tour guide, however she spoke so fast no one could understand her. I feel we missed a lot of history and other stories of Uruguay because of this. A couple of people had asked her to please slow down but that did not last long. Beautiful scenery along the way. Especially loved stopping at Casapueblo! Enjoyed the lunch as well.maybe spend a little less time looking at houses in Punte del Este and spend more time in the town. Our driver was fantastic and very patient !
Unfortunately, we had pouring rain which dampened (pun intended) the day. Pros: guide was friendly, enthusiastic, checked in with everyone. Lunch was good. I could have done without the coffee stop, but most liked it. I felt rushed at Casapueblo & was disappointed at how little you can see. But I was glad to have gone. We drove through a lot of neighborhoods, which was interesting at first but got tiresome. There wasn't a lot of time to explore the city & the pouring rain didn't encourage exploration. The guide spoke very quickly & was a little hard to understand. Most of the tour were Spanish speakers, but she did speak English throughout. Just wish we had better weather
Punta del este walking around town. It's beautiful there and very safe. We saw the hand in the sand and the harbor too.
Not recommended, I went in a bus with 45 other persons and the tour was inside the bus, every time we got off the bus we were in our own and it felt like we needed more time. The English from the guide wasn't good and the Spanish was mixed with Portuguese. The bus had bad ventilation so the windows were tarnished most of the time, so you couldn't see out if you are not seated beside the window
The pick up was horrible. We waited so long and then picking up other passengers was worse.. people on the bus were rude talking so loud.
The host was nice. She spoke very fast so that she can say everything in English and Spanish. Because of that at times I was hard to understand her. Love the tour. I would do it again
Overall, I thought the tour was well designed and planned. Each stop felt like there was enough time to enjoy what we were supposed to be looking at.
Laura was outstanding! Very personable, a wealth of information! Great tour highly recommend. Merci beaucoup!
We specifically requested a tour in English. Instead we got a trilingual tour. The majority of the tourists were from Brazil. The tour guide spent most of the time speaking in Portuguese, then less time in Spanish, and minimal time in English. By the time she got to speaking in English the landmark had already passed by. We grew tired of hearing when each condominium complex was built and who owns it. The tour could have been shortened by at least an hour or more. Limit the tour to the historical landmarks & museums. We also didn't need to hear when each of the beaches was developed into a resort. Just highlighting the major beach would have been fine. We got back to our hotel very late. Most of the restaurants had already closed. The tour was a disappointment.
This is a day long tour but the tour guide kept things moving even during the slow parts of the journey. Good English language commentary full of interesting information. The admission fee to the museum should be included in the tour price. I noticed some people stayed on the bus rather than pay and missed out. The Piriaopolis stop could be a bit longer. That view from the hill was the highlight of the tour for us and it would have been nice to have had more time to get coffee or something to eat at the restaurant there. Three hours free time in Punta del Este was a little too much for us. Many couples trickled back to the meeting point after two hours, bereft of more things to see. Overall a great day tour, though.
A great tour, Marcela the guide was very kind and patient with all the passengers. Very beautiful experience the places visited. recommendable
The tour was very good and picked us up at our hotel. We then listened to our guide who explained the itinerary and a bit of history. Our first stop was Piriapolis which was charming. We went to the top of the Cero for a great view and photo opportunity. The tour takes you to the Casapueblo which is an amazing tribute to the famous artist - Carlos Paez Vilaro. It looks like Santorini on steroids. We then went through the back streets of Punta del Este and our guide explained why it's the home of the "rich and famous." We stopped near Play Brava and had some free time to photograph and get a snack. It's a long tour but it's worth it.
Our hotel recommended this tour and advised us against taking a simple local bus to Casa Pueblo which is where we really wanted to go. Although the guide was knowledgeable and tried her best we did not enjoy this trip. Piriápolis beach would be lovely for a walk and there are some gorgeous old buildings at the seafront that would look great in photos. But we didn’t stop there. Instead we stopped at a lookout - which had great views, however I felt sad about missing Piriápolis. At Casa Pueblo we paid for entry to the gallery but only had 50 mins in total at this amazing place so it was all quite rushed and we would have preferred to spend at couple of hours there. Then at Punta del Este we drove around and around and around streets, backstreets, roundabouts while the guide talked incessantly about which rich person owned which house and where in Europe their furniture came from, and how much various properties cost to buy, and in which years all the apartment buildings were constructed and how much it would cost to buy them and which houses have pools, BBQ areas, cinemas, 17 bedrooms and 11 toilets. It was endless even after my child threw up in the bus the commentary continued. Then we had 3 hours at ‘Punta’ and really didn’t know what to do with ourselves because it was so commercial and we were so stressed from the tour. I wish we had taken a simple bus to Piriápolis or Casa Pueblo and had a more relaxing last day in Uruguay.
Great tour. Nice guide but very limited time at every place . They dropped to my hotel. Too. Nice buses
We were very disappointed because on our document sent by Inver it saiid pick up time between 7-8 with departure of MV at 8. We were picked up between 8:30 and 9. Then Inver went picking up others all over MV. Needless to say, we lost time in Punta. Two stops- more wasted time. Maybe off to take photos only would work. We saw nothingin Punta. No getting off for photo or a souvenir. Waste of money. Also, we requested English guide. We were with mainly Brazilians and one Spanish speaker so Portuguese speakers were priority. I speak all 3; my husband only English. By the time Cynthia got to the English, she left out a lot. Do not recommend.
It is very worthwhile, if you visit URUGUAY, without a doubt you must visit Punta del Este. The activity is very well organized
Excellent, Fabian is an excellent guide, as well as his tips and suggestions. Very friendly driver as well and the vehicle in excellent condition. It's a very complete plan.
I took the tour by Inver. Great tour operator. Punctual, comfortable bus and the guide Marcela was excellent in the explanations. The problem is, it was too run. We made a stop in Piriapolis and in Casapueblo. The bus parked in Punta del Este at 11:30, with return scheduled for 14:15. We had lunch, we went to see the beach, the sculpture of the fingers, take a stroll around the local shops and have an ice cream at Freddo, then it was time to go back. We couldn't get to know the harbor. The ideal is to stay there for about 2 days, as the city is really very beautiful, organized and clean.
I loved the citytour punta del este, we loved the experience, the guide marcela wonderful, since the departure from Montevideo she spoke very interesting things, she could simply talk so de punta but not all that we saw on the way back and forth , explained everything, gave tips of good places to go in Montevideo, I loved. She spoke portunhol, Spanish and English. All nationalities included. It was an amazing day. I loved the company, punctual, organized, and the van and the new, comfortable buses. Congratulations to the company. If we had more time we would take the colony tour of Sacramento, but it's definitely next.
I took the tour to Punta del Este with Inver, but the experience was not good. The guide did not pass the information correctly and was always very in a hurry at the stops. We were unable to visit Casa Pueblo, as he informed that we would only see outside and mentioned that there was a museum on site, but did not clearly explain that it was necessary to buy a ticket to enter. When we found out he needed a ticket, the queue was already huge and there was not enough time to make the visit. Unfortunately, we did not know the place, which generated a lot of frustration.
The guide talks too much, being still poorly educated about what approaches people, the guide talked the whole tour , totally unnecessary.
Very good tour, but unfortunately it is well run, did not give time to take advantage of Casapueblo and everything she offered. The guide was very good, spoke Spanish, Portuguese and English very well
Bad experience. The stop in Punta del Leste is far from the interesting points forcing long walks which leaves no time for lunch. I bought the tour with a guide in Portuguese. The guide Marcela is very sharp and antipathetic. He speaks a terrible Portuguese, horrible diction and speaks very fast that makes it difficult to understand. The whole group complained and was dissatisfied. I do not recommend. The tour to Cologne with the same guide was also awful
There were so many of us. Short deadlines for each visit. The guide did a lot of advertising to various places and took us to lunch in a very expensive restaurant
Very fast and easy everything. The friendly guide, they knew to wait despite my delay. It would be nice to have a Water Service and something else on the bus even if it was a little more pay.
I loved seeing this app. It made it a lot easier for me to make the tour script. The experience was wonderful.
The tour was very good, very complete, excellent information and attention from the guide Marcela and our driver
The bus you took was great, score 10. They were punctual. But the walk was awful. So took home pueblo with a very limited time and qdo we arrived in punta left us in a restaurant and ready. We had lunch and returned. We don't know anything else. Bad experience.
Well, nice and cheap. The guide very friendly, comfortable and clean bus. I recommend this Enterprise as well as I was recommended at the time. They are very punctual
We liked very much, punctuality and cordiality of the driver and guide. Wonderful places. Worth a lot just.
Pro farol tickets were not given, despite being included in the package sold by Viator. I also did Colonia Del Sacramento and did not give admission to Toros and Farol. They did not search and did not leave at the hotel (Tour Cologne).
The tour starts 8 hours, we return 16 hours to Montevideo. We stopped at Cerro, Casapueblo (40 minutes) and restaurant Charrua (free time). The tour guide was very good. The guide speaks Portuguese and English very quickly, it is not very well understood because it is not Brazilian Portuguese. The bus USB didn't work. The pro farol ticket is not included, as written on the package. The lighthouse was closed on Sunday.
The Casapueblo is the most impressive of the tour, but it pays +-R$100 to enter and I didn't find it so interesting. The other places are even 'common'. The structure of the hands render good photos. The walk was cool for convenience.
We went to my wife and ordered sorrentinos with shrimp sauce. A very poor dish of salmon in its filling and the sauce with three small shrimp and no taste whatsoever. Lastima. You can tell it's a declining business. Every year it falls.
Fizemos um bom percurso. Excelente conhecimento oferecido pela guia Marcela. Gostamos da experiência.
