I really enjoyed this tour, my tour guide was attentive, detailed and very warm. I'd recommend this tour to everyone.

Great WhatsApp communication the day of. Pick up on time at my hotel. Very big bus. We first stopped at the Museo Taller de Casapueblo. Fun. We then drove through Piriápolis. Stopped for 15 minutes at The Hand in Punta del Este and then were dropped off in town for a little over 3 hours of self guided walk about. Time flies. Guide was very nice and gave great tips on how to get to the sea lions at the port. Had a great time. Got ice cream and an arepa and then drove back to Montevideo in about 2 hours. The bus was super nice and comfy. You can ask the guide questions anytime. He speaks Spanish, English and Portuguese fluently. Great value for the price.
Very good full day tour from Montevideo to Punta del Este. The guide was very knowledgeable of the area and history of the city, and we stopped at various locations along the way. Great full day to explore the Rio de la Plata coastline of Uruguay.
Very complete tour of Punta del Este with a couple of stops before in Piriapolis and the Casapueblo museum, both of which were great photo stops. In Punta del Este travellerd get a couple hours to walk the downtown on their own.
I highly recommend this tour! Our guide was fluent in three languages and did an excellent job communicating with everyone in the group. One of the biggest highlights was having a bus with a restroom, which made the trip much more comfortable. I also loved all the stops and the panoramic viewpoints along the way. I would definitely book this tour again. I loved that the tour guide mentioned to keep the same seats since it can get really chaotic when tour guides don’t establish rules or take control. The only thing I would change is the pickup process in Montevideo. Instead of stopping at so many different hotels, I think it would be better to have one or two central pickup locations. The current pickup and drop-off process takes almost two hours, which makes for a very long start and end to the day.
This was a fun way to see sights on the way to Punta del Este and to see the town itself. Beautiful views along the coast and the bus ride was comfortable. Pablo was friendly, knowledgeable and shared interesting stories. The total time was closer to 11 hours, so it is a long day.
If you have the ability to spend a day in Punte del Este, this is the perfect day trip! The drive along the coast is breathtaking and the guide will teach you a lot about the unique culture and personality of Uruguay. We enjoyed the free time in Punte—a long seafood lunch with views of the port/river. The drive is long though, so be prepared to give up about 10 hours of your day for this excursion.
Nice tour to Punta del Este with a couple of stops on the way. Nice to do a quick tour with the bus and then have free time to explore what interest you more.
It’s like a taster tour you stop at various points 20 min to 2.5 hrs. Just long enough to see what you should revisit on your own. If you wanna see as much as you can on a day trip. This is good. Coach was very modern, bathroom. Seat reclined and aircon. Good for a first visit.
Two good sites to check out while in the area. Went for the hand sculpture but the artist’s house was quite interesting too. Tour guide very nice and helpful.
It was a good way to see a little bit more of Uruguay when only having 2 days here. Loved the stop at Casa Pueblo. My favorite of the trip. It’s a long ride so take a book; music or something to keep busy. Pretty scenery; farmland, beaches, hills etc… Our guide was helpful, informative and friendly.
This activity was listed as a cruise excursion and start time at 0830 I was contacted after 10pm the night before to be informed that I needed to be at a location 1.5km away from port by 8am. I responded that we weren't scheduled to disembark until 8am. They said that they would cancel with refund, but I felt this was very misleading on their posted information. Would not recommend.
Great trip to Punta Del Este and Piriapolis. The 1st stop for coffee/bathroom break has amazing views. I had a quick beer at the outdoor bar and enjoyed the amazing views. The only negative part of the tour is picking up and dropping off everyone. It takes a very long time.
The full day Punta del Este tour included a number of stops along the way including Casapueblo. I was very happy not to rent a car and drive. For me this tour was a great value. The tour guide explained everything in an impressive mix of Spanish, English and Portuguese. I think my favorite stop was Casapueblo and I would have enjoyed more time there, but it was enough to go in and take a good look. If everyone on the bus had wanted tickets it might not have been enough time though. If you want to do that, I would recommend going swiftly from the bus to the ticket counter. There was a nice long stop in Punta del Este. The tour encouraged folks to spend that time eating at a particular sit down restaurant. I did not do that and am glad I didn't. It would felt like most of the time in Punta del Este was spent inside at the restaurant. Instead, I walked along the coast and found a place to see sea lions (sea lions were a little tricky to find). I also loved seeing Los Dedos. Overall, I highly recommend this tour. Thanks for the lovely day :-)
The tour had two stops before the trip to Punta Del Este. Not sure if the stops were worth it. Once we arrived in Punta Del Este there was a lot of driving around before we actually had the opportunity to walk. There was a portion where the tour guide was just talking about the households of former politicians or historical figures. However, Punta Del Este was small enough to traverse once we actually got the opportunity to disembark.
Great way to see the coast and some of the unique little places along the way to Punta Del Este.....
I thought the tour was well put together the lady spoke 3 different languages gave us enough time at each stop and kept a good flow to every stop
This day tour of Punta del Este included stops in other locations, and overall it was a very enjoyable day. A great way to see lots of attractions in the area.
Marcela is a knowledgeable and personable guide! She made our day special. This is a jam packed tour!
Great day out, Marcela spoke excellent Spanish, Portuguese & English, made sure I understood everything Would happily recommend this day trip
The trip to Punta del Este was wonderful. The views along the way were breathtaking. However, we spent too much time on the bus and less time in the actual town. People should consider an overnight and do a few other towns along the way.
The trip took us where we wanted to go, but the guide was poor. She spoke rapidly, and many words were not clear. She spoke all the time on the outward route and a good part of the return. We did try to ask, as did the lady behind us, but to no avail. There was a lot of unnecessary information given, eg, this tower block was constructed in xx year and that one in my year, and there were a lot of tower blocks overlooking the beaches. If she cut out some unnecessary information, she could slow down
Our guide was Paul. I thought Paul was very good, very knowledgeable. We were allocated the right amount of time at each stop. I thought 3hrs would be excessive in Punta del Este, but after you have lunch and walk to the hand sculpture, walk to the lighthouse, walk to the Port and have a drink/snack break in between, I arrived back to meeting point with only 5 mins to spare. What I think could be better - 1. I think the Puente de la barra (bridge) is interesting enough to allow for its own stop and to take pictures, even if just 5-10 mins. I found it difficult at times to understand what I was being told switching from English to Spanish. Maybe best to do your in English one day, Spanish the next. I found myself tuning out. It was also raining in Punta when we visited. Suggest an hour for lunch, then could take people to the main attractions and allow 30 mins for each one. Older people or people with mobility issues would find it difficult to get to all the interesting sites.
They didn't abide by all the listed stops. As they dropped us off at a midpoint which was a 15 minute walk away from either point, instead of taking us to both as listed.
It was an exceptional trip along the coast, from Montevideo to Punta del Este, passing through Piriápolis and Casapueblo in Punta Ballena. Our guide, Pablo, organized the tour in a very original way. Each traveler who joined the group was welcomed with a typical song from their home country, which quickly created a great atmosphere. Pablo then shared a wealth of information about Uruguay, covering various topics such as the economy, politics, and of course, football! This information was presented in an interesting format, as a quiz, and I can say that I retained a lot of knowledge this way. We discovered fabulous places throughout the day, and I now understand why Punta del Este is considered one of the best seaside resorts in the world. At the end of the tour, Pablo provided recommendations for Montevideo, including the best spots to try the ultimate Uruguayan dish, the chivito! I highly recommend this tour and the guide Pablo.
It’s a beautiful tour. Couldn’t give it 5 stars because we were put on a non-English speaking bus and didn’t understand anything the whole day.
Great tour and Guide is so energetic and inspiring. Also really helpful with everything you need. Thank for everything.
My husband and I really enjoyed this tour. It gave us the opportunity to see Punta Del Este and take amazing photos
The full day tour was exactly that, a full day. Picked up at 8am and got back at about 7:30pm. Most of the day was sitting on the bus, but it was comfy enough. The 2 stops on the way were in Piriapolis and the home and museum of artist Carlos Paez Vilaro. The first stop was a bit pointless, but the art museum was awesome. Punta del Este itself isn’t anything stunning. It was nice enough for a day trip. The guide spoke all the way there, which was a bit tiring to listen to as she spoke in 3 languages and very quickly. Overall a decent day out.
The bus was great the driver the guide lady, it was a very nice trip. The information provided was on full details.
Two nice short stops on the way to the destination and plenty of free time there to explore and enjoy
I was fortunate enough to have Marcella as our guide on the full-day Colonia and Punta del Este tours. She is simply outstanding! She is extremely professional, very knowledgeable and gave us so much valuable information throughout both the trips. I cannot recommend INVER and Marcella highly enough.
It was generally a good trip. I just feel that the period that allows us to stay at museo de casapuebla should be longer…..
We visited a few highlights on this trip but there were too little time to properly enjoy each of the sights. Also the group were a bit to big, it took an hour just to pick up people im the morning (and one hour dropping off people on the return) so it was a lot of time in a bus to spend little time in punta del este. I would rather do colonia de Sacramento over this trip. However, the guide Ricardo was very nice and told us about the history etc. In both English and Spanish.
This tour was well organized. Pick up and drop off was smooth and quick, the driver was great and the tour guide was kind and humorous. The van was comfortable and spacious. Punta del este would be a perfect place to visit in the summer and although it’s winter it was still worth seeing. Although it is very expensive, there are a variety of places to eat and shop, the tour allowed for 3 hours of free time. Have breakfast before the tour or bring snacks because free time doesn’t start until noon-1pm. The tour guide made a quick stop for us to have a close up of the seals who were close to shore because the fishermen were feeding them. That was a great little bonus!
A great day out. Your was prompt in picking us up in the morning. We enjoyed the stops and had about 3 hours of free time in Punta Del Este. Marcella was our guide, she was very sweet and translated between English and Spanish. She did speak a bit fast at times but overall really cared about the well being of everyone on the bus. Driver was. Safe and bus in good condition. It was a great day trip and I’m so glad we did it.
The trip to Punta Del Este was amazing! Even though it rained some the views were spectacular. The tour guide spoke very good English. The trip was approximately 10 hours total. We had plenty of time in Punta Del Este. I had time for lunch and then to walk to the famous La Mano.
Awesome Day trip with an excellent tour guide, Andres! Muchas gracias! Explored everything in and around Punta del Este!
A well organised tour with bilingual guides. The stop at Piriapolis was lovely and the views amazing. Also absolutely loved Casa Pueblo - the home and gallery of Carlos Paez Vilaro, an artist I didn’t know before and of whom I am now a fan! Punta Del Este was interesting and we had time for lunch and a walk around the town and to explore El Mano on the beach. I would recommend this trip to anyone wanting to explore further afield from Montevideo.
Loved the iteniary. The guide Marcela was super nice and cared that you had a good time but she needs to say less and speak way slower. I think the experience would have been almost better without a guide. Just have the driver bring us to the places and tell us when to be back.
Interestig stops on the way, the right amount of time for each. Punta del Este is a different kind of town. The sealions in the harbour were charming. Sice it's a large group tour, some time us soent picking up passagers in Mintevideo. Waisted time or sightseeing? Up to you...
Comprehensive tour of Punte del Este and Casa Pueblo. Plenty of free time for lunch and beach. Our guide Joseline was excellent, giving information in three different languages to accommodate a very international group on the bus. A little hiccup on the way home when the bus broke down but the situation was resolved very quickly when another bus arrived to take us home. Excellent customer service all round!
Too much time going to some lookout. Not enough time at the museum. Did provide a translator for five of us. Everyone else was Spanish speaking.
Horrible experience, basically a waste of a whole day. Long drive for absolutely nothing! Don’t Waste your day. The bus smelled sooooo bad due to the bathroom in the back probably overflowed…..
Great experience. It was to book. Very good communication by tour operator, Inver. Comfortable bus. Overall, the tour to Punta Del Este was a delightful journey that left a lasting impression, making it a must-visit for travelers with an appreciation for coastal elegance and cultural richness.
It was a good trip to see Punta del Este along the ocean and the river. It was a nice place with lots of shops and restaurant but not much else. It was a very windy day to do something else like walking or strolling. It costs only $45. So I’d say it was worth the tour. The guide was kind and helpful. He drove through some neighborhoods and a few interesting places before getting to the destination, which I appreciated very much.
Pauly with Dream tours was a terrific tour guide. He was engaging, entertaining and informative. Pickup and drop off went without a hitch and the van was clean and well maintained. For what was apparently his time on this tour, the driver did a very good job.
I am waiting over 2 hours now and the driver didn't show up. My booking was confirmed but no one responded to my questions. Terrible experience. I obviously expect to get my money refunded.
I was picked up at my hotel and had a tremendous day as we traveled through the city and countryside stopping at some very scenic spots for great holiday photos. There were museums and spots to pick up coffee, snacks, and souvineers and finally two hours in the shopping district for a late lunch before heading home. The guide conducted the tour in English, Spanish, and Portuguese which was very impressive!
It was very nice, but my tour operator was speaking super fast. And I didn’t understand what she was saying at all. But still she was very nice!
