Cloud Forest Lodge

Rooms were very clean. They would clean rooms multiple times a day. Breakfast was excellent at endemica with wonderful views of cloud forest. We saw so many hummingbirds while having our breakfast. If you are not staying here I would still recommend Endemica restaurant. Food was outstanding and they had an entire vegetarian menu. Staff at Endemica were amazing. Jose, Dennis and Priscilla took care of us and our toddler very good. Highly recommend this place

Cloud Forest Lodge is set in a beautiful, peaceful location surrounded by nature. The rooms are massive, with equally large bathrooms and an excellent shower. The large private balcony was a real highlight — perfect for relaxing and watching the birds. Breakfast was excellent, with great views and lots of hummingbirds flying around, which made for a lovely start to the day. The hotel is very well looked after and the grounds are nicely maintained, adding to the overall relaxing feel. There are also a few trails on the property, which are nice to explore and help you enjoy the cloud forest setting without needing to go far. The hotel is not in the centre of town, so ideally you’ll need your own transportation to get around, but the peaceful location more than makes up for it. Overall, a very comfortable stay with spacious accommodation, beautiful surroundings, and a great place to unwind in nature.

We had a wonderful stay at the Cloud Forest Lodge. The room was clean and spacious. As we were close to the forest we did not have much of a view but we did appreciate the sounds of the birds and monkeys. This was the best food we had during our 2-week trip in Costa Rica. The bite-sized starter and finisher were a nice touch as was the bread with seasoned butter. Every dish was amazing. I particularly appreciated how they allowed us to share while bringing extra plates without having to ask. Special shout out to Dennis who was an excellent server and conversationalist. The service team worked well together and with the kitchen. We enjoyed the common areas of the balcony and indoor fire. Hummingbirds, other birds and even capuchin monkeys came to visit. Happy hour was a nice touch as well and added to the relaxing feel.

The room was great with coatis right outside roaming the property. There is no mini fridge but they do have a nice coffee maker. It was also nice having a good restaurant nearby that served great food. We were extremely full afterwards because they gave us a few extra things we didn't even order. Dinners were always amazing. I definitely recommend eating there.
