Everything was thought out perfectly. Claudio was an amazing guide, explaining everything from the tools used to the different species of olive trees. The tasting was well explained and the olive oil was very good. Parking nearby & accessible by car.

My husband and I had an amazing time with Niccolo as our guide for the olive grove tour! He was friendly, funny, and very knowledgeable. Niccolo went above and beyond just the tour. He gave us recommendations of what to do, where to eat, and how to explore the area. He made the tour amazing!
A great tour that gave us a better understanding how to judge the taste and quality of olive oil. Nico was an excellent guide who explained the challenges and satisfaction of maintaining a high quality olive farm. We highly recommend taking you the tour.
My friend and I had the morning free and went to see how a working olive farm worked. It was a beatiful location the tour and tasting was welll thought out and origanised. Cloudio the guide was lovely and really insightful. I would highy recommend.
What an amazing experience! We absolutely loved our time on Cavozzoli! Niccolo is so passionate about the farm and the oil production, and Gianlucca is very welcoming! Cannot rate this experience highly enough!! It’s an absolutley must if you are in the area.
Just got back from the farm. It's a small family run olive grove, which means we got a friendly intermate experience. Niccolio was excellent, friendly, and very informative. The location has stunning views which you can take in as you are guided through the olive trees. Everything about how olive oil is produced is explained in a friendly and informative way. Questions are welcomed if there is something more you would like to know. I fully recommend the tour.
Nicco was amazing. He was charming, informative, and able to communicate wonderfully. We were all family within minutes. Absolutely would do this tour again just to support the farm and see the work Jacimo does all his own to help create an organic, sustainable farm for years to come.
Fantastic tour, were you first get to see and learn about olive farming, and then get to learn about the production of olive oil as well as taste testing. Obviously the focus of the tasting is of their own products, but would have been fun to actually compare to another olive oil of worse quality. Our guide was super friendly and answered any questions we had to the point that it feels like we could open our own olive farm. The tour took about 3 hours (which in part might have been due to all our questions). Would highly recommend!
The tasting experience was great. The guide knew extremely well the subject and answered all our questions. It was very interesting and the oil they sell is just delicious. The quality is impressive. We recommend this visit 100%
We came to visit this tour with our boys 6 and 7 years old. The tour was excellent for kids and we all learned so much! Thank you for a splendid visit!
A great must-do tour! Learned about farming olive groves and experienced an olive oil tasting ! Niccolo was a fantastic guide— with a great sense of humor! Went above and beyond to accommodate us! Highly recommend!
Absolutely outstanding. Our guide, Nicole, was a book of knowledge and answered every question without hesitation. We were fortunate enough to meet the owner and discuss the olive growing business. Highly recommend!
Fantastic tour with a professional and totally knowledgeable guide - Nicola. We were educated in the production of truly healthy olive oil. We were fortunate to meet the owner and had a discussion concerning the olive oil process. Do not miss this tour.
Went to place No one showed up Had no phone service Should be refunded totally since we did not have the tour
The grove’s location in the hills was beautiful. We enjoyed the drive up and our tour was very informative. They went through the cultivation and preservation of the grove, differences between olive oils, and the tasting was great. A lovely way to spend half-a-day.
Wonderful tour of this olive oil farm. Our tour guide, Nicola was extremely knowledgeable and clearly showed passion for this farm. We walked the orchard, learnt about the trees, how olives are cultivated and the very strict process in harvesting and manufacturing the final product. They have an impressive collection of awards for their quality of oil.
We loved the tour and explanation of the fantastic work that is being done to provide such amazing, award winning olive oil. We learned so much about how to look after the olive trees, how to make sure the oil has the best flavour and how the quality can be kept for longer. A huge well done to those who have worked so hard to create olive oil at it's best. Do go to this tour if you can.
Such a good experience. Nicollò was our tour guide, very knowledgeable and friendly. We saw Giacomo, whose family has owned the olive farm, in action. The whole experience was engaging and friendly from beginning to end. We did the 09 30 tour and left from Montecatini Terme, we had to get a taxi (€20) to get there on time as the first Funicular time is 09 30 and it's a bit of a walk thereafter too! Would highly recommend this tour.
Fantastic tour! It was the highlight of our holiday in Italy and we really enjoyed the experience. The views are beautiful from this amazing olive grove in Montecatini Alto. Niccolò was an excellent guide who was very knowledgeable and also very funny and kind. The olive oil created by the owner is amazing quality and learning about the process from start to finish was amazing and makes you really appreciate the dedication of the owner in making such a superior product. I highly recommend this tour! Grazie mille Niccolò and Jacomo!
Unfortunately, we didn’t get to find out if it was worth the $$. The tour was advertised to meet at 3pm ‘ on the road to Montecatini Alto”. I asked the owner for suggestions to get to the meeting place and was told to take a cab. We went on a morning trip on the funicular to MA. The plan was to take a cab from the base of the funicular to the farm meeting place. Google maps said it was about a 10 min drive. Around 1, the owner text asking if it would be ok if they started at 3:30, instead of 3. I said yes, thinking that would give us more time. I told them we were catching a cab, hopefully we would be there. but there was a chance we couldn’t get a cab. They text back “ok, we’re starting at 3”. I text “then why did you ask me if you could start at 330?” They text back that the tour was starting at 3. WTH.? Since we had changed our schedule to be there at 330 we now couldn’t make it by 3. we had to skip the tour, lose our money and go back to our hotel. While on our way to the hotel, they called my phone to say they were waiting on us. I told them it was too late to get there and I then text them saying “please, not change times on future guests because it is too confusing” so, not only did we just wasted $78, we missed a tour we very much wanted to do. I’d say just be aware that they are not a convenient venue unless you’ve rented a car and be ware that they could change times on you.
Super friendly people, wonderful olive oil, amazing wine. Franceso is a great host and knows his wine and olive oil.
We had a wonderful morning here. We learned about the family history of how the olive farm originated. The pride they have shines though on the way sustainable farming methods are used and the way they respect the land and ensure there is zero wastage. We were shown how to properly taste olive oil and to understand the differences of their olive oil. We also had tea made from olive leaves which was extremely nice. There is no hard sell and they are confident enough to let the product speak for itself so we were happy to purchase a selection of their oils and also some leaves for making olive tea. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and felt that we came away much better informed on a product that we love to use. Would definitely recommend the tour.
Our guide did a really wonderful job educating us about the history of the olive farm and the processing of olive oil. They are so knowledgeable. passionate, and proud of their craft. Family owned business passed on through generations. Really outstanding quality of olive oil and they will ship worldwide.
Highly recommend this tour! The farm tour was absolutely amazing seeing and learning about how they harvest and grow their farm, and we got to taste 3 olive oils that each had their own flavor. Since you only taste the 3, I would recommend coming with a full belly. :-). The authenticity of this tour was spectacular and you could truly see how much care this multi generational family puts into this. We bought some olive oil there and we can’t wait to use it at home!
Gian Luca was a wonderful guide. We learned so much about organic farming. He is an asset to the tour. Olive oil was terrific. I highly recommend this tour.
Our party of four booked this tour directly with Antico Podere Cavozzoli using their website and email. Giacomo answered all our questions regarding how best to get to the farm. We were staying in Montecatini Terme and took the Funicular up the mountain to Montecatini Alto, then had a lovely walk through town and down the hill toward the church to the farm. We learned so much from the tour and tasting. Two in our group have a farm in Pennsylvania so had special interest in the tools and processes involved in growing olives and making olive oil. Giacomo was so informative and passionate about the history and operation of his farm. And he taught us so much about what good olive oil tastes like, and how he goes about making award-winning olive oil. We are so glad we booked this tour and hightly recommend it. Following the tour we made our way back to the town center for a nice lunch. Such a lovely area.
Great experience, can highly recommend! Learned a lot about Olive Oil, like how to recognize good quality. At the end of the tasting got the oppourtunity to buy local, hand made oil for a fair price
If you think you know about Olive oil this trip will be very interesting similarly if you are just curious. Guide was very interesting and really helped paint a picture of how low tech organic olive oil production is carried out. Amazing setting too. But just wait until you taste the Reserva oil, absolutely amazing just a shame we couldn’t bring more back!!!
Our experience was great! Our tour guide went above and beyond to show us the passion and the process that goes into making the best olive oil we’ve ever tasted. Highly recommend!
The tour and tasting were amazing! We learned so much about the process and the passion behind this truly amazing olive oil. Our guide went above and beyond. Would highly recommend!
Our experience exceeded our expectations! Even with all the 5 star reviews we were really surprised by the hard work, the commitment, the dedication to the land, loyalty to family and the love of olive oil that goes into this process. Our guide, Gianluca was excellent. We will never look at olive oil the same way again! Thank you for this wonderful tour, sharing your life work with us and teaching us so much. It was a lot of fun and included the gorgeous views from Montecatini Alto! Well worth a visit!
We had an amazing time at the olive oil farm! I know Giacomo's grandparents would be so very proud of all he is doing with the farm! The olive oil is so good!!
We learned so much about the olive oil that Giacomo produces. We were very impressed with the self sustainability of this eco-friendly business. Gianlucca was our friendly and informative tour guide. And the olive oil produced is divine!
Understanding the value of olive oil and the incredible value of olive growers. Makes you aware of the challenges and hard work to bring good olive oil to your table. Lorraine our host was knowledgeable and welcoming and made the tour interesting.
I’ve visited this place twice over the last couple of years, and both visits have been fantastic experiences. The owner’s passion for and knowledge about organic olive oil production is truly inspiring, and walking among the olive trees while the church bells in the surrounding villages toll is almost magical. And… they have the best tasting (and probably also the healthiest) olive oil I’ve ever had.
Excellent tour of Giacamo’s olive grove, with a really lovely tour guide. It was an eye opening and informative tour about how olive oil is made, and how it should taste. It was also really exiting to hear about Giacomo’s production, true passion. The tasting was also very interesting, and the taste was amazing.
It was really interesting to learn about the organic ways of growing, harvesting and processing the olives. The tasting at the end was also a real eye opener for how olive oil should really taste! It was also very clear how much passion Giacomo put into his farm to produce the best possible olive oil. I really recommend a visit
Super interesting tour of a family-run organic Olive Grove, passed down for generations. This Olive Grove utilizes sustainable farming techniques to produce quality organic olive oil rich in polyphenols. The tour includes walking through the Olive trees in a stunningly beautiful Tuscan setting of rolling hills and row after row of olive trees. The owners are passionate about their work to produce the best olive oil. The tastings after the tour was an education on how to taste and determine quality olive oils, and showed the excellent quality produced here. The olive tea was also amazing. A very unique experience in Tuscany, highly recommend!
My husband and I took this tour with our daughter and her boyfriend. Giacomo is a true artisan, as well as an extremely hard-working farmer. He was very informative regarding the process of how to create his product, and the olive oil industry. It was just the four of us on the tour. Which was great because it gave us an opportunity to ask questions. Be prepared to hike up and down the hills of Tuscany. Wear comfortable shoes. I am very thankful to Giacomo for his hard work, and the creation of his pure olive oil. I
This tour was excellent. Giacomo was a fantastic guide and showed us the olive grove and the methods he uses to produce such an excellent and authentic product. We got to taste many of the locally produced oils, and even got instructions from an expert as to what to look for, and how to spot lower quality oils. Giacomo is an expert third generation olive oil producer, and has so much knowledge to share. We were blown way by the amount of work it requires to produce a REAL authentic, top quality oil!! We were also lucky enough to be able to purchase some to take home, but we had to ask! Giacomo is so humble and takes so much pride in his work. He never even asked us if we wanted to buy some. If you’re into olive oil, or a foodie of sort, DO NOT MISS this experience!!
A very complete tour of the farm, walking through the trees we got so much information about the ecological growth and caring process of the olive trees. very cool how they take care of the trees without any chemicals. the quality of the olive oil is nr 1 priority for the owners, and this definitely resulted in the best tasting extra virigine olive oil that I had ever tasted. pro tip: if it doesn't smell like fresh grass, it's not extra virigin!
Giacomo and his Irish friend offered us the best olive oil tour we have ever done. We started off with a pleasant and informative walk amongst the tuscan olive trees and the magnificent views. Got to learn about the true passion of working amongst the olive trees and producing genuine organic extra virgin olive oil. Giacomo the owner helped us also in recognising the true flavours of olive oil and its distinct impact on our palate. Its a tour not to be missed if you're in the area.
Great tour with one of the owners, Giacamo, and his assistant. Down to earth people, with a very obvious passion and love for what they do. We were extremely lucky to be there on a day that they were harvesting, so on our way through the Grove, we saw part of the process in action (and got to have a surprise visit from the owner and his uncle's dogs!) . Now to the important part, the oil. I feel that my mouth has not had the pleasure of an extra virgin olive oil of this caliber, and I almost feel cheated that it has not! My only regret, is not bringing enough euros with me (bring euros, or have PayPal) to bring back enough oil to the states for everyone I know. Please visit, learn about the organic processes and why keeping biodiversity is important, learn what true quality extra virgin olive oil is, and help support one of the best (he has won awards, so that's not just my opinion) and be happy that you don't have to settle for second best again, because he also ships. If I ever come back to this area, I will be back to visit.
The walk among the olive trees featured a beautiful view and made for a pleasant walk. The owner/guide was very knowledgeable and a clear master of his craft, explaining everything from the importance of the treatment of the trees to how to recognize a high quality pdoduct. The oil itself was rich and flavourful, and very distictly different from most of what you'd find in the store, well worth a taste. This entire experience is highly recommended!
Giacomo, the owner of the farm and production does his hard daily work as a passion for great products and sustainable farming. The different oil types were gordeous, never had such experience before. He was very patient and informative to us. We booked the tour on the same day very spontaneous and it was so easy to book.
We had a great exprience. Franscesco is a passionate farmer, who told us a lot about organic farming. You can see that the family business has his heart. We learned about the growing process of olive trees, the pruning and harvesting seasons. He took his time and answered a lot of questions, for example about different techniques. We were surprised by the history of the place and the 200 year old cottage. The tour ended with the tasting of different oils, which was interesting and amuzing. We recommend everybody to do the tour and suppurt this organic farm.
Forget about wine tasting and everything you thought was the real Tuscany. THIS is the real Tuscany. The real Italy. We had the most wonderful, enlightening and interesting afternoon with Giacomo who showed us around his farm telling us stories from his life, about his family, about the the trees (yes, the trees have their own story) and the production of organic extra virgin olive oil. Giacomo's drive and passion combined with his humbleness and love for the earth left us extraordinarily moved, returning home equally as passionate about olive oil as him. Thank you for your knowledge, time, good tips and guidance. Robin and Miriam
The most authentic and beautiful tasting and walk at this olive farm. Also Francesco was a really good and calm guide. We enjoyed it very much.
After touring this amazing olive oil and tasting last year, we ordered several bottles more this year. The shipping was quick, efficient and well packed!' The order arrived within a week and we are giving friends Christmas gifts from this wonderful organic olive grove. Thanks Giacomo!
We had a frantastic 2 hour tour with tasting. Full explanation of the organic and sustainable farming of the olives, resulting in what could be the best olive oil I have ever tasted. Fully recommend to go there!
