Guided Tour Cleto Chiarli With Lambrusco Tasting

This was our second visit and, unfortunately the more disappointing one. The guide was aloof - he left our group of 10 for 25 minutes with a tiny pour of wine and we had to go find him, on his computer and he acted surprised we were ready for the next tasting. The new museum is neat but there was minimal information on actual lambrusco process which was disappointing, despite the opportunity to see the bottling line on action. Overall, a 5/10 and going downhill.

We had a really great tour of the history of Cleto Chiarli and the production of their excellent Lambrusco wines during the 10:30 visit. The wine tasting was very enjoyable, and the hosts shared great information while making us feel welcomed throughout the entire experience. We also got to stroll around the beautiful estate by ourselves afterwards, which made the visit even more relaxing and memorable. The winery is easy to reach by car, but we took bus 731 from Modena, which also gave us a nice tour of the surrounding countryside. The nearest bus stop is about a 10–15 minute walk from the estate. Can definitely recommend this experience to anyone interested in wine or wanting to learn more about Lambrusco!

What an absolutely lovely experience! The winery itself was beautiful, peaceful and interesting to visit. Our guide was so kind and knowledgeable while also allowing us to enjoy our time together. We tasted 4 beautiful wines and enjoyed some light snacks that paired well with the wine and the experience. It was such a calm and lovely afternoon, and amazing value. We spent just under 2 hours there so we had a great visit that still left plenty of time in our day for other exploring in the area. Thank you for welcoming us!

Chieto Chiarli is a lovely vineyard and winery. There is a historical estate which includes private tasting room, museum room, gardens and original historical buildings. Still owned by the original family, Chieto Chiarli produces a number of Lambrusco wines which are available worldwide. Our personalized wine tasting lunch was delicious and included options for all our guests. We tasted five different wines and a balsamic vinegar, all available for purchase at attractive prices. Thank you to Sara for a lovely, informative visit as we sketched our way through the gardens!

Winery was beautiful, pristine and peaceful. The tour was very interesting and the guide couldn’t have been nicer or more welcoming. The wines and accompanying charcuterie were lovely. Definitely recommend!

Martina was an excellent tour guide! My husband and I had a wonderful time learning about the history of Cleto Chiarli and tasting various delicious lambruscos!

The tour was titled "The history of Modenese wines." What was presented was a tour of the winemaking facility and some brand history since they are the oldest family winery in the region. The tasting included 4 of their spumoni /frizzante offerings with some salumi and parmesan. The guide poured the wines, described them briefly and then disappeared for long periods between the tastings. There were no special wines presented like a bottle fermented lambrusco or much discussion of the history of the production process in use today vs before modern refrigeration was available. There was also no mention of other still wines produced in the region. Overall a disappointment based on the tour title and the frequent absence of the tour guide.

The property was gorgeous! And there were many expressions to try from, as well as their brand of balsamic vinegar! There were some of the area snacks to enjoy with the wine. Prosciutto, salami, Parmesan, and bread. Our guide was very informative and answered any questions we had. Would definitely recommend!

The tour is very educational and the property is gorgeous! I didn't time my other activities right so I ended up coming to this tour an hour early, but the host was very accommodating and allowed me to start it early. This was a beautiful experience with a gracious host. I highly recommend!

Tour and tasting was so great and personal. It was wonderful to see the vineyard of my favorite Lambrusco. I had the privilege of meeting Tommaso Chiarli at Eataly Chicago in June 2023 for a Lambrusco tasting and intro to the winery. So glad we were able to make the visit!

Tour was good. Winery very impressive as we were there while they were bottling wine. Tasted 4 wines, not available for purchase or shipping- required to order from distributor back in US.

The place was beautiful, the guide was amazing and the lambrusco was delicious!!! If you are in the Modena area, this is the tour to do.

Unexpected , Great Experience ! Lambrusco is not considered , unfortunately a superior wine, but after this experience , we reconsider it ! The grounds are beautiful and our guide was great. We really enjoyed the wines and purchased a few bottles of each. Our only criticism is that it was such a beautiful day and the grounds are so pretty that the tasting should have been outdoors instead of in a small room.

We visited Cleto Chiarli while on a trip to Bologna. It was an easy drive from Bologna and easy to find the winery which is a lovely place. The sparkling wines were fantastic the food magnificent. But what made the visit truly memorable was our host and wine somm! She was so knowledgeable and easy to converse with. We highly recommend Cleto Chiarli if you find your trip taking you near Modena.

Lovely tour and tasting - the facility is impressive and the guide was engaging and knowledgeable. We had a wonderful experience and loved all the different Lambrusco wines we tried - highly recommend.

The presentation of the guide was really clear, easy to follow and enjoyable for everyone. The guide was really knowledgeable and I felt really welcome, he was available to answer some questions I had. I saw how much passion and love is behind the product. An honor to have such a treasure in Modena and a pleasure to taste good local wine. Tasting of four wines, really nice presentation and some bread, parmesan and ham to enjoy a relaxing moment. Good price! I will repeat in summer or spring because I think the park is really beautiful in these seasons.

The only winery that also allows tours on Sundays. The guide conveyed enthusiasm in welcoming us and explaining the secrets of the Lambrusco grape varieties. Tasting accompanied by local products, a recommended experience.

Interesting visit to the historical-narrative part of the winery and the product processing area. Tasting of three wines (white, Lambrusco Sorbara, and Lambrusco Grasparossa) each with its own peculiarities and characteristics but all of excellent quality. The guide, Edoardo Chiarli, illustrated with clarity and friendliness the history of the family and the organization of the estate in relation to the territory. Tasting done in a group and it was very pleasant to chat with the other participants mind we tasted better wines than I expected.

Super friendly and helpful staff, they opened 3 bottles more than I had in tasting. Tasting of lambruschi accompanied by salami, breadsticks and parmesan cheese, with a taste of the lotus balsamic vinegar that has an excellent quality / price ratio.

A beautiful farmhouse, a competent and friendly guide, excellent wines. Experience absolutely to recommend.
