If I could give this 20 stars I would. This was an amazing experience that we will remember for years and years. This reminded me of a Sunday dinner with family. Lara was so welcoming, accommodating to our kids (8&4) and we learned so much about Italian cuisine. This experience is an absolute must.

Our host, Angela, was incredible and welcoming. Aside from the cooking itself, she told us about the area, history of some of the local delicacies and recommended us foods to try. Angela is an amazing cook, she taught us a lot in a short period of time, shared her knowledge with us and took time to show us how to prepare each of the dishes. We had a go at preparing the pasta and dessert ourselves, which was lots of fun. Would thoroughly recommend the experience!
Intimate, warm atmosphere with sisters Ilaria and Maria Luisa. We had a wonderful time, ate delicious food, and made a family memory we will never forget.
What a fabulous morning with Maria Luisa & Ilaria, they made us feel incredibly welcome, like we had known each other for years! Knowledgeable and happy to help a couple of novice pasta makers. Highlight of my trip to Modena. Will visit again, highly recommended.
Not just the hands on food preparation, cooking, and enjoyment, it’s all about culinary culture of home cooking. It’s the details that make right.
Great class Angela was amazing and so knowledgeable on pasta and food and the area. Would recommend to anyone wanting a fun activity on holiday
Maria Luisa was excellent. She showed me how to make tortellini, and was a great teacher. She did not speak much English, but it was fun using my Italian. I would recommend this class for anyone.
From the moment we met, I knew I was in the place I wanted to be to learn more about Italian culture! Angela opened her heart and her home to our small group. There was talk and conversation and joking and learning, all with an Italian flair. Angela has every tool in her toolbox necessary to create any type of pasta requested, any food desired it seems she has a knowledge of exactly how and what is required in order to create it. at its best. Experience unmatched! I would highly recommend Angela to all that may want to learn pasta making , and the art of tiramisu. Mine was a most delightful experience. Shelley
A highlight to our trip to Modena was our cooking class hosted by Maria Luisa and her close friend IIaria. Both women were expert in their cooking and patient teaching of how to make 2 kinds of pasta and tiramisu. But the best part for my wife Karen and I was the warmth and friendship we developed with these two smart, interesting women. They truly made us feel welcome like old friends in their home. We would highly recommend this experience to meet, eat and interact with these welcoming people.
Angela was so kind and halpful. We had a great time learning about not only cooking but Italian culture and experiences. The food was delicious and fun to prepare. This was a highlight of our time in Modena.
Amazing experience! Still our favorite thing from the trip so far! We made awesome food and felt right at home
Incredible experience, highlight of our time in Modena. Angela is wonderful, the food was delicious, and we learned a ton about cooking and the Modenese way of life!
The most fantastic and enjoyable experience, with 2 wonderful hostesses in Modena. We learnt to make tagliatelle, tortelloni and tortellini, as well as tiramisu. We were made to feel so welcome by our hostesses and had such a great time from start to finish. Would highly recommend if you’d like a truly authentic and fun experience.
Unique personal experience in a local home. Alena was truly hospitable sharing her family recipes and stories. Came as strangers. Left as family after a few hours working flour and egg into dough and pasta. Reintroduced to Lambrusco, Modena’s local sparkling wine bringing back memories of my own Mom circa 1978. Viator should correct the description to exclude Tiramisu which is not local to the region and requires two days to prepare. Description misleading. We made an alternate chocolate cake, equally fantastic.
It was a wonderful experience.. Raffaela welcomed us in her beautiful furnished appartment. She taught us how to prepare two sorts of pasta, and Tiramisu and the tasty starters. She was the perfect host, gave us lots of good cooking hints, and created a warm family atmosphere. We fully enjoyed this event!
The hospitality a d experience was out of this world. Got to learn how to make pasta like a real Italian and got to taste some amazing treats as well. Highly recommend for anyone with the slightest interest in food.
It was a wonderful evening! It should be mentioned that, at least for us, it was more of an "experience" than a hands-on cooking class. We mostly just sat and watched one of the hosts make the tiramisu and pasta dough, the only hands on thing I did was roll out the dough for the pasta and shape a few tortelloni. We did not even watch them actually cook the pasta. So I would describe the experience more as you were invited over for dinner than a class of any sort. Although definitely the best part was just hanging out with the two hosts. They were both very welcoming, kind, had vibrant personalities, and overall just very pleasant to get to know and spend the evening with. All the food and wine served was also very good!
Had SUCH a great time…made me feel very welcome. Very warm and kind. And food was delicious! Thank you Luisa ❤️
We had a great time Learning how to cook two different pastas. Raffaella is a great teacher, very patient. A very lovely way to enjoy our evening
Excellent experience that perfectly reflects the basics of Italian tradition
It's a great experience. Angela was a great teacher and hostess, taught me Tortelloni, Farfalle and Penne. Pesto Genovese, of course, homemade with fresh ingredients... just heavenly. And as a dessert, a tiramisu with Angela's secret ingredient. A big thank you to Angela for her patience if I haven't always been very skilful.
We were welcomed at Alexsandra's house, which made us live an unforgettable experience. We learned in a simple and fun way the preparation of some traditional dishes and we ate excellently! Do it again!
