Catarina was great! Very outgoing and very informative. She was engaging since first meeting her. If you gauge the tour only on the food it would be disappointing, especially since booking this tour I found it much cheaper in several other places.

Francesca was a delight. Both kind and knowledgeable, so grateful to spend the day in Milano with her!
This was the worst food tour we have experienced. Do not waste your money. Tour guide barely spoke to us, took us to one restaurant and we grabbed dessert in spot immediately next to restaurant. There was absolutely no tour aspect about this. Horrible experience. We will request a full refund
This was NOT what I was expecting for 6 “award winning” tastings with food. WAY overpriced for what you get. I would maybe pay $50. Tour guide was very nice, and informative. However extremely disappointed at what was offered for a so called award winning food tour.
Our expectation was that we would visit a few restaurants to experience 6 different food and wine tastings of Milan that you wouldn’t find just on your own. We actually only went to one restaurant where we enjoyed a charcuterie tray and 2 drinks. We then had a gelato and a coffee. Disappointing for spending $300. At best it is a $100 value.
Salvatore was a gracious host to his beautiful city. He brought us to a trattoria in the old part of Milan that was fantastic. After we had a fresh cannoli and some fantastic gelato. The tour of the castle was educational and enlightening. I recommend the tour if you have a few hours to spend in this wonderful city.
Caterina was great. 100% authentic. Very sympatic. Very good english. We had rain, but she had very good solutions. And we got a lot of tips for eating in the evening and shopping. Thank you also for best icecream ever.
It is an absolute scam! It says 10 tastings, it doesn't say that the 10 tastings are 9 types of cheese and sausage, and 1 ice cream. I couldn't believe that was it. Then we went to see a building with trees. The tour guide looked like he hates his job, and the whole trip was just a complete waste of time and money. I am still in shock that I payed for this... DO NOT GO!
Armando took us through the streets of Milan, relegating us with the culture and stories of this great city. Our gelato experience was divine, as was the food and wine. HIGHLY recommend this one!
Great food, very helpful navigating Milan. Punctual, knowledgeable Really able to get us going in Milan on our first day Highly recommend .
Excellent food and very knowledgeable tour/guide. You see alot of attractions and get to learn history about the Italian culture
I thought it was a food tour. It was not. Sit down charcuterie experience with a glass of “unknown” wine. Walked next door for cannoli. Walked blocks further for an espresso. That was it. $264 Guide was super nice, but this was not a food experience. 5-6 tastings? I’m still confused. Wouldn’t recommend.
Francesca led us on a delightful discovery of amazing Milano food treasures. I thought Baltimore’s Little Italy had wonderful cannoli but the ones of this tour were truly a level all their own. On our subsequent trip to Venice the plentiful cannoli in every window looked paltry and premade in comparison to the ones on Francesca’s tour. On each visit to a delightful shop or restaurant, we were always eating with people from their neighborhoods instead of other tourists. Fortunately, we had climbed to the top of the Duomo earlier in the day, so we could eat this great food guilt free! In between bites, Francesca shared Milano stories and background information.
We had a lovely time being introduced to some wonderful spots for food with Caterina. She was engaging and fun and it felt like I was being shown around by a friend. And clearly she makes friends wherever she goes as we were always greeted warmly in each of the shops and stops we made. It is so nice to hear how the real people of Milan live and understand how similar we all are.
Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. The food we tasted was delicious but not worth the price. We had focaccia and a few pieces of cheese and hams, One glass of wine, one piece of chocolate and some gelato.
Our train tracks were in mainenance and we had to get off the train and take a bus. Then we had to get back on a train and go to Milan. The trip was 3 hours late getting into Milan. We missed our tour. No refund or credit due to the fact we did not notify Viator within the alloted 24 hours. Granted those are their rules you read when you purchase a tour. Sometime stuff happens out of your control, they need to change their rules.
Thank you Caterina for a fabulous tour you are such a warm and lovely person. We had such fun and the food was absolutely delicious. A perfect way to spend a couple of hours. We learnt so much about Milano and its food culture. We highly recommend this tour.
The tour guide did not have the personality to guide a tour. It wa an effort to make conversation with him
Time flies when you are having fun, same happened to me and my wife during Caterina’s tour. We were told stories about every piece of food we tried or street we walked, the menu was pure marble: the cuts, the drinks, the local gems, the sweets and OMG that gellato... All the places we visited treated Caterina like a boss of Milan, so we felt VIP, and got nice discounts when shopping between the waypoints. We also got great suggestions for the next days of stay, so with Caterina’s tour you get way more than you’ve paid for!
Caterina is such a fun, outgoing and kind guide, and she knew all about the history of Milano's areas and food culture. She also provided us with discounts in local stores as well as awesome recommendations for further restaurants and bars to visit. We had such a great time! We would definitely do it again if we return to Milano, and we recommend everyone to book her tour :)
We walked for a couple of hundred meters, stop at three places within 5 meters radius, had a focaccia, a plate of some cheese and ham, then a cannoli. We walked a couple of hundred meters more to stop and have a coffee. Then the tour ended by some skyscrapers. Not the tasting experience we were expecting at that price.
Francesca not only made excellent food choices, she is also knowledgeable about the history and culture of Milan. She was quite engaging
Our journey through Milan was nothing short of magical, thanks to Caterina and Withlocals. The private food tour was an exquisite dive into Milanese cuisine, blending the city's rich culinary traditions with the warmth of local hospitality. Caterina's expertise as a food guide illuminated our path, offering us a taste of Milan that was both authentic and deeply personal. The highlight was the surprise birthday tiramisu for my wife, arranged with Caterina's thoughtful assistance. It added a sweet touch to our celebration, making the experience truly unforgettable. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to discover the heart of Milan through its flavors. Grazie, Caterina, for an exceptional day!
Salvatorre was an excellent tour guide and showed us many things but this was supposed to be a food tour. I am a travel agent and Event Planner and I did a food tour with you in 2014 and this one was horrible. I say this because we probably got 30 total euros worth of food and you charge us €200 per person, I am disputing this with my AMEX and I would like a credit !
The quality of our tour guides knowledge and ability to tell us in a fun way. It was a fabulous night because of him.
Guide was very knowledgeable, but i feel that the experience was on the expensive side, was hoping there will be more food
Our guide was very knowledgeable and provided great information during the tour. We enjoyed it very much.
Our guide, Army, was perfect in every way. He shared a ton of knowledge and we truly did get a genuine taste of Milan and Italy on every level. This tour was one of the highlights of our 12-day trip. It was paced perfectly. Army also offers a pizza-cooking class and I wish we'd had time to do that as well.
Caterina is a true local with the knowledge to match. Her upbeat personality and enthusiasm are infectious and she seems to be the unofficial mayor of Milano. Fun experience and learned along the way.
We had a wonderful time with Caterina and the food was delicious. A great experience and would highly recommend.
We liked the guide , she was friendly and likeable but the tour was awful the tour did not match the description mentioned while booking . We had the tour for 5 pm and got 4 desserts 2 appetisers and 1 glass of wine . You should have mentioned it was a dessert tour . Very disappointed with the tour will never do again or recommend . Sorry
Great experience. Very informative. Great restaurants. Serena was very nice and helpful. I recommend this tour.
Walking a foreign neighborhood, having the various sites explained, and having great food and conversation….had a great time.
Tour guide was fantastic. No issues there. I want to make that clear. But the $130 each for some pruscetta, coffee, pastry and gelator is an absolute ripoff. Would never do it again
We've done quite a few food tours over the years and this one ranks right up there with the best of them. Besides being a stellar guide, Francesco is just a lovely person. He's extremely knowledgeable and also made sure to give us options on what we ate and drank. We even went back to two of the spots yesterday because we enjoyed them so much.
Alex was fantastic! Not only was the food and drink fantastic, he was so knowledgeable about the city. He had loads of stories pictures and overall gave us a wonderful tour! Highly rated! Would do it again.
What a fun tour! Wandering around\nthe neighborhoods of Milan, with a\nknowledgeable, charming guide to tell\nus all about what we were seeing as we\nstrolled and ate delicious genuine real\ndishes as we went along. A spectacular\nway to spend an evening in Milan.\nCaterina was delightful, full of stories\nabout all Milan, the areas we were\nwalking, the food, history, buildings\nplaces to shop everything. LOVED her!\nShe even helped us get discounts at\nplaces to shop after the tour! Definitely\nrecommend her and this tour.
Excellent food tour! Alessandro was our tour guide and he was Fantastic! He provided us with great information about Mlian's history, culture and the food selections was fantastic, especially the best secret Gelato in world. Alessandro is a great and funny guy, he is passionate about his job and we enjoyed his company. Thanks!
Spectacular tour with Caterina in Milan. Caterina was kind, informative, personable and flexible. Initially I had signed up the tour for my husband and I, at the last minute he was running late from work and Caterina quickly adjusted to make sure my husband could at least enjoy part of the tour with us. The food was amazing and the best thing we did in Milan!
Good way to quickly eat a bunch of great food with a GREAT guide. All really good stops with enough to fill you up. Caterina will instantly make you feel at home in Milano.
The guide was not informative, busy on his phone with personal matters and generally disconnected from his guests.
Serena was fabulous. Very patient too as I was in the location at first. She took us to an area of Milan we would have never seen. She was very accommodating to what we all liked to eat. We walked to 5 different restaurants/shops and loved hearing about the history of the area and the food was wonderful. We were stuffed! Would highly recommend.
We had a great time with Serena. She was very knowledgeable and friendly and gave great insight into not only Milan, but other regions of Italy. We highly recommend!
The guide was very knowledgeable and personable. The food was fantastic! My husband and I had a wonderful time. She gave us lots of history about the places as well.
An excellent tour, with a superb guide who knows the best places, including how to avoid the tourist hot spots. A gastronomic tour of the known and the new, served with humour and enthusiasm.
This was a very nice tasting tour but two of the places were closed when we arrived and I personally thought we had too many stops for sweet things. I personally would have enjoyed sampling more savory items.
Our guide Alessandro guided us through likely the most beautiful parts of Milan. He even showed us hidden charms and treasures that my boyfriend and would have simply walked past if it were not for this tour! And the food (especially the ice cream, which the pope himself has had a taste of) is unforgettable!
My daughter, husband and I had a fabulous food tour with “Armi” during our recent stay in Milan. His knowledge of the city and other regions and their connection to different foods was great. Starting w an amazing “street food” from Napoli to fabulous Tuscany farm raised charcuterie boards and specialty coffees and chocolates and gelato it was great! Definitely show up hungry!! We took my other daughter who missed it back to the gelato place after. And had dinner that eve at a handmade pasta place he had recommend in Brera. Was a great way to see the city as well!
Great time! Lots of delicious food and the guide was absolutely lovely! We were very full at the end of the tour and would do any other tour with this same guide.
With all the COVID-generated craziness we booked everything at the last minute, including this tour. Armando contacted me within minutes of booking and explained that there needed to be more time to make arrangements at restaurants. Totally understandable! We tried to reschedule but out travel plans didn’t allow. Armando recommended canceling but it was inside of 24 hrs. He was able to meet at the time and took us to 5 different local places. Food was great and his commentary was very interesting! My recommendation would be to not show available slots or give warning of lead time needed. Would do it again if had more time.
