If important to say you where at the Scala then it’s worth the experience but it was deceiving in the sense we where able to see the theatre for about 30 seconds behind a glass without almost no lights due to a repetition. The museum room are small without great interest
All good. I learned so much more than I thought I knew.
The guide was knowledgeable and entertaining and took joy in sharing her vast knowledge and love for her city. Her excellent relationship with the theatre meant we were able to access boxes and see the inside despite rehearsals.
Our guide was very knowledgeable and passionate about La Scala and opera. Made the tour extra interesting! We even saw part of a Faust rehearsal!
Excellent tour, with extremely knowledgeable guide. Loved being able to enter the boxes in the auditorium and watch preparations for a rehearsal. After the tour of the very interesting museum we could go back and watch some of the actual rehearsal from behind a screen in one of the boxes. From there we could also see the technicians working at the computer desks, controlling special effects etc. A fascinating tour, well worth the money.
The guide was not well informed and did very little to expand on printed information. You sat in a box for five minutes and that was the total exposure to the theater itself. The museum rooms were so crowded you could see nothing. A walk up unreserved ticket would be a better choice
This tour truly enriches the La Scala experience. You'll leave with a good understanding of what makes tge place so special and also its fascinating history. Great guide.
This was an excellent tour. It included the history as well as the ability to stand in a box and see the complete interior of La Scala.
This tour is the first half of a two part tie that includes the Duomo. It was cool to learn about the importance of La Scala to the Milanese.
The whole tour seemed a bit crowded and haphazard but then this is Italy, after all. The guide spoke good English and was very knowledgeable. It was fascinating to watch the stage crew set up for the evening performance, adjusting the huge stage to varying heights. One thing I learned was that some seats have an extremely limited (or even no) view of the stage. Caveat emptor. All in all, a good way to spend an hour in the city
An excellent tour with a cheerful and lucid lady guide who spoke perfect English. Well worth whatever it was we paid, which I cannot remember offhand. And you don't have to be an opera buff to appreciate the building (humdrum outside, magnificent inside), its function, its history and its place in Italian culture. Peter Jackson
Wonderful knowledgeable tour guide. Great for opera lovers and not opera lovers. History and art combined!
They canceled on our last day in Milan. No alert, except on this app. I will never use TripAdvisor for anything. Spread the word. It’s irresponsible
Great, informative tour of the theater. It was a very personalized experience since we got the opportunity to sit into the actual theater. I recommend this trip to everybody not only Opera lovers
Scala is historic opera I have watch recordings. The interior beauty is stunning. Guide only knew about some musicians and not other major stars. Museum was a random collection of oddities.
We liked the tour. Well organised, a professional guide, who told us a lot about the theatre and it's history. The theatre itself is beautiful. Excellent experience!
An hour 'ish was the right length of time. You could stay in the museum afterwards if you wanted to.
Very comprehensive tour of La Scala, very lucky to see rehearsal taking place & them go back to see the opera house again !
Very thorough and interesting background and history of the theater along with very beautiful artifacts and instruments. Inside the theater is magnificent.
The guide cancelled about three hours before the tour. It was my last day in Milan. Rude! I had not time to schedule another guided tour.
It is overpriced. La Scala and museum are beautiful and interesting but you can see both for a fraction of the price and avoid the fluff.
The Scala has a fascinating history in terms of music and architecture. Our guide was knowledgeable and well-prepared. Although the tour was short, it was a highlight of our visit to Milan.
You can only see the inside of the theatre IF available. But truly great tour! And book it early in the day.
Anybody who likes opera should visit. It is very informative tour and possible to get to a place without seeing performance which of course has to be fantastic experience also but not always possible. Daniel is very knowledgeable and shared a lot of interesting facts.
Our guide was great and we got special access to private opera boxes for photos! Worth it to skip the line.
If you are an opera fun and/or really want to get inside the legendary La Scala, then this tour is for you. Otherwise, skip it.
Guide had no attachment for hearing-aid user so I could not understand the radio signal unless I stood very close to her, which given the crowd was very difficult. Museum was hot and overcrowded. My biggest disappointment was total absence of backstage tour.
Very informative tour of a beautiful theater. Guide Anna was brilliant ! English speaking was very good.
Tour guide was excellent. Knowledgeable, personable, patient with our questions and passionate about what she does.
We had a very energetic guide. the group learned a lot about the history of the theatre. worth a visit.
Our guide was very charming and knowledgeable. We enjoyed learning the history of the opera and the troubles it experienced throughout time. I enjoyed the artwork statues and the stage itself a beautiful place to attend any event.
Very knowledgeable tour guide we got! It felt a bit inconvenient with the hands-free gadget which was offered - it could not sit stable in the ear. Overall impression was good ♥️
Good chance to get inside La Scala and to see the theatre, which is very impressive. The rest of the museum is not massively interesting. Our guide was very pleasant and knowledgeable.
Guide was excellent. Extremely knowledgeable. Very interesting history. Definitely worth a visit……..
It was a quick overall tour of La Scala with time to look around on your own after. The guide was SUPER knowledgable about La Scala and all things opera. So many good stories to tell.
Great exp …guide was very well informed and was sharing different stories about art , theatre , artists , with a tinge of gossip …
The guide was great and had great history and knowledge
I had a wonderful time learning the history of La Scala Theatre. Our guide was knowledgeable and helpful. I especially enjoyed the peek into the theatre to experience the opera boxes. Great museum too.
Is the capital of the Opera Golden columns Velvet seats Superb elegance That’s why this is the world opera house
We took this tour - it was basically ok (a little pricey for what it's worth). It was rushed and there were many tour groups in the opera house at the same time so all of them kept running into each other as we journeyed from room to room. I was disappointed that there was no back stage tour (standard in other opera house tours that I've taken) but this may not have been possible as a performance was scheduled for that evening. I don't know if there were no performance if it would have included a back stage look. So, in conclusion, it was adequate but certainly nothing exceptional.
Our guide was knowledgeable and kind, and was eager to share her deep knowledge with our group. We were with her for an hour, but I'm sure she would have been able to keep us enthralled for many more.
Excellent tour. Highly recommend. You get a few highlights of La Scala and get to see the inside of this legendary theater if you are not lucky to see a performance.
The guide was polite, very deep knowledge and he made our tour incredibly nice. We find the place easy, group was small and La Scalla felt wow!
this is a very informative tour especially if you love everything about theatre. I was so immersed in the tour guide's stories, I never felt alone while on a tour.
Having a guide give us the history made it more interesting. Small group was perfect. She was on time, knowledgeable and accomodating
Badly organized. Host late. Guide was charming but material boring. You would only go if you had to see the inside of a box and the stage.
Fantastic commentary by our guide. Not too long and not too short. Lots to see. We had the lights off and lights on experience during preparation for the show.
Knowledgeable guide. Friendly. Gave lots of interesting, historical information. Well spoken. Was a great tour.
My heart sank when the guide turned up with 10 seconds to go to realise it was the same guide I had for my Duomo tour. Uninterested, monotone voice and constantly checking his watch to see when he could make an early get away. The theatre itself is beautiful but I have learnt nothing about it. I asked a couple of questions and he muttered that he didn't know. With the right guide this could be a great tour, but with the wrong one, as I have now had twice, it's just plain boring.
