This is very much a DIY walking tour rather than a traditional guided tour. You are provided with a map showing the route and audio guides for the various points of interest, and then you simply walk the route yourselves and listen to the relevant audio at each stop. We did struggle a little at the beginning to work out which audio clip related to which point of interest, but once we’d got the hang of it, it was straightforward enough. The audio provided a good amount of information and, considering the price, we thought it represented very good value for money. That said, if we did it again, we’d probably pay a little more for a proper guided tour. Having someone there to explain things, answer questions and give a bit more context would have made the experience more engaging. Overall, a useful and inexpensive way to see some of Milan and learn a bit about the city, but we’d probably choose a live guided tour next time. 7.5/10.

Itinerary
The Castello Sforzesco is one of Milan’s most iconic and historic sites, and represents, along with the Duomo, one of the most majestic and distinctive monuments of a place rich in culture and tradition. Located in the heart of the city, the castle has played a crucial role in Milan’s history and has seen several phases of construction, destruction, and renovation over the centuries.
Gothic-Renaissance in style, Santa Maria delle Grazie is a key landmark in Milanese architecture, particularly associated with the name of Leonardo da Vinci. In the refectory of the church, where the friars gathered to eat their meals, is preserved one of the absolute masterpieces of art history: the Last Supper, by Leonardo Da Vinci. To see this amazing masterpiece you need to book week in advance!
A visit to the church dedicated to this revered saint is not to be missed: the Basilica of St. Ambrose, recognized as one of the most relevant in the world and an archetypal example of the Romanesque style.
The church of San Maurizio al Monastero Maggiore is often considered the “Sistine Chapel of Milan” because of its architectural structure and the exceptional quality of the decorative cycle, influenced by the Leonardo school.
The Duomo is the timeless symbol of Milan: It’s hard not to be moved by such beauty Started in 1386 by Gian Galeazzo Visconti, it was built over five centuries, undergoing numerous modifications and modernizations over time. Get ready to discover a lot about this masterpiece!
One of the strangest churches I have ever seen but, if you are not too impressionable, it is worth it! 5 minutes walk far from the Duomo it's something that a lot of tourist miss!
It represents the pedestrian passage connecting Piazza del Duomo with Piazza della Scala and is the oldest active shopping gallery in Italy.
A beautiful square that is located in the historic center of Milan and is connected to the Piazza del Duomo via the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele. Built to add a square to the famous La Scala theater, from which it takes its name, thus making it more functional and welcoming.

Saw a lot of beautiful buildings and it was a nice tour. Only bad part was we ended up at the Duomo as it erupted into a violent riot. We barely missed it.
This experience was good. We had an easy to follow map which took us place to place and a nice bit of information on each landmark we saw. The other good thing was that you could go at your own pace, no hard sell or hassle.
Difficult to find at first as I went to the castle but then had to contact trip advisor to see what to do next. You need to pay first and then you get sent a link. Overall though, the tour was closely connected and provided interesting facts about Milan. Am going to do another one in Verona.
I went to the information desk in the palace and they said, it is closed today! So I didn’t get to go to the tour
Everything worked well but a word of warning- thexweather can be very wet in Milan in April. Our walk was mostly in rain which was a shame. We got lost a couple of times as roadworks made the route difficult to follow. But we saw all places of interest.
So much useful information! We learned so much more about the main sites of Milano than we would have on our own. The information is clear and concise and not overwhelming. The audio tour was easy to download and operate. I liked to be able to re-listen to the segments I found most interesting.
Our guide was so fantastic we would give her a 10 out of 5. We have travelled all over Italy and were so impressed not only by Chiara’s knowledge of the subject (The Duomo in Milano) but her enthusiasm in sharing her city, her culture and her love of Italy with the group. She also did an outstanding job interacting with everyone in the group taking care to remember where they were from and relating to them personally. Grazie mille Chiara!!
We only had one day in Milan and wanted a self guided tour so this was ideal. Gave us details on the main attractions to visit and provided a great walking route to take.
It was a wonderful experience and a perfect way to explore the city by foot. I enjoyed my day by stopping in between and clicking a lot of photos and reading about the place
Milano it's huge but we had the chance to visit it for one day. Really practical to start whenever you want, stop for lunch (great cotoletta milanese tip by the way) and continue after. We loved the flexibilty!
The tour was great! I really appreciated that we could walk the tour at our pace and listen and read about the stops on the tour. Milan is a beautiful city with lots to do and see. Thank you, Matteo😎
Very cool experience! I tried all their digital guides cos I think that they are a cool way to visit a city with your own timing!
Very beautiful experience, commentary on the locations of the monuments was very clear.
Simple and easy to use. Beautiful, historical, and important places. I loved it!
Very good visit at our own pace, we were able to do everything calmly by wandering around and often taking breaks, mainly due to the heat in Milan that day, so this visit suited us very well, to do: visit the Duomo and its rooftops to be booked separately, as well as the visit to Leonardo da Vinci's The Last Supper at the Santa Maria church to be booked 3 months in advance on their site, €15 for admission. We learned a lot of anecdotes about all the places thanks to this audio and written guide.
I bought the tour of Milan, Although I already knew a bit about the city I discovered some less touristy and very beautiful places that even in the guides are not well indicated but deserve! Very clear, complete and with a perfect selection of what to see in 5 hours walking around the city
Audio is played by a program through written text and that makes it unnatural and lacks charisma. The content is not bad.
The guide is perfect for getting an overview of Milan. Especially if you have little time. You can take it faster and slower. This individuality is great.
