At this stop near Piazza della Scala, one of Milan’s most iconic squares, we will taste a delicious, crispy Italian street food called panzerotto, typically filled with melted cheese and tomato. Gian Mario was a fantastic guide. He walked us through Milan explaining the food and the history in a way that was easy to understand and quite enjoyable. He was kind, thoughtful and funny. The variety of food was perfect (very filling!) and they accommodated our pescatarian diet. I would highly recommend him and this food tour!
Excellent tour with the fabulous Alarico, who knew each of the business owners well to secure good seats and fast service. Food was great as was Alarico's company and humour. We tried Milanese risotto, which was excellent and had an aperitivo among other things. All round, a great start to our holiday in Milan.
Excellent tour. Gino Mario Was great. Lots of information. Well Organized. Pleasant. All the stops were delicious and fun. Met some fun people. Totally enjoyable. Highly recommend.
The tour was great. Our guide Gian Mario was very patient, pleasant, and knowledgeable which was very important since we had 4 children with us. The food was delicious and I would recommend Gian Mario to any friends or family.
Thank you for a great experience. We visited several places and ate great food and drank both great wines and drinks. Our tour guide, Alarico, was knowledgeable and a fantastic guide.
There is way too much to cover in Milan for a couple hours food tour to do it justice. However, the 4 stops and food are excellent and learning how the pizza dough has different water content- that and the cooking time make for a crispy crust, and how they use rice more so than pastry having to do with the climate. In short it means when you travel from north Italy to south your wonderful food options change and still taste great. This is a great small group tour in Milan to tr. enjoy
Our guide was Anna. So vivacious, smiling and fun. She shared loud of insights on northern Italian cooking. The tour is not trying to be gourmet dining so be aware of that but so long as your open to the 'street food' vibe (as advertised) you will have a great time
Very nice and very tasty! ANNABEE was a great guide — friendly, welcoming and full of good recommendations. The food was excellent throughout, and the risotto alla milanese was something special. Thank you Anna for a great morning in Milan.
Michaela was amazing. We had a great time exploring Milan.
Excellent way to spend a delightful evening. very knowledgeable guide and could converse on all things good and wine!
Ludo was amazing! The route was great, recommended
I had a wonderful evening with good food, good drinks and good company. Our guide Alarico was very knowledgeable and patient with each of the group members. Despite the group size being 12, he was able to support each one of us and interacted with each of us. He was very attentive with our needs and questions.
Our tour guide, Francesco, was excellent. We ate great food & learned interesting facts. We highly recommend Francesco & this tour!
What a great introduction to Italian cusine and culture! Our tour guide, Alessia, was wonderful - friendly and engaging, fun and informative! We couldn't have had a better time. She started our tour with an introduction to italian pizza at Rom Antica. The restaurant offers more than 25 different pizzas to sample - and we found the potato topped pizza quite scrumptious. Also, the Nutella desert pizza was most unusual - and quite delicious. We then enjoyed a fine plate of Rissotto Milanese at a local restaurant. This was followed by a fantastic charcuterie smorgasbord at La Prosciutteria. And our final stop was a sweet treat of gelato at Vera's gelateria. Time flew by as we sojourned from one restaurant to the next. Alessia was great company - and made the tour a most memorable experience. I highly recommend this city tour and you should ask for Alessia as your guide!
Anna lead us through the streets in Navigli where we had lots of fun ! We had delicious Aperitivo snacks , 2 glasses of wine, a cocktail , risotto Milanese and a gelato. Anna is enthusiastic and friendly and a great tour leader. There was one disappointing element to the tour though - my partner is vegetarian and when we sat down for the main meal of risotto Milanese , she was given a plate of just plain risotto (understandably without the delicious meat we all received). Surely hers could have been served with mushrooms or asparagus. It was boring - and for the price of the tour - unsatisfactory.
We booked this street food tour through our travel agent and ended up with Gian as our guide. Honestly, we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Gian was incredibly knowledgeable, not just about the food but about Italy in general. He answered every question our group had and took the time to explain things in depth without ever making it feel like a lecture. What stood out most was how personable he was. It felt less like a guided tour and more like spending an afternoon with a friend who was showing us around Milan. My wife and I had just landed in Italy, were exhausted from traveling, and were a little overwhelmed being in a new country. Gian made us feel comfortable right away and helped us settle into the experience. The food itself was great as well. What we really enjoyed was that it wasn't just about eating at different stops. Gian explained the history behind the dishes, how the region's food evolved over time, and why certain foods are made the way they are. We thought that added a lot to the experience and made it much more interesting than a typical food tour. Overall, a great experience and one we'd happily recommend. Bravo, Gian!
Outstanding sampling of authentic food and review of Milan's history! Gian was engaging, knowledgeable, and full of historical insights. He clearly enjoy sharing his passion for the city. We ate, we learned, and we had a blast. Thank you Giano for a great experience!
Outstanding sampling of authentic food and historical review! Giano Marion was engaging, knowledgeable, and full of historical insights. He clearly enjoyed sharing his passion for the city. We ate, we learned, and we had a blast. Thank you Giano for a fabulous time!
Alarico was our guide. He was very friendly and knowledgeable, and we had some great food.
Alarico gave us a wonderful tour. He explained the history of the things we were eating and everything was delicious. Alarico is from Milan and his love of the city and what he was showing us was very evident.
We had a lovely time with Fredrico, our guide. Walking around Milan and eating delicious street food was the best time. Give this tour a try! You won’t regret it!
What a great experience! The food the wine the spritz’s! Annabee was a great guide and brought Navigli to life for us. Grazie Annabee!. We were able to practice our Italian too!
We had a fantastic time, on this street food tour! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was fun, and our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. A great way to experience Milan with a local.
If you’re even thinking about doing an aperitivo experience in Milan stop overthinking and just book this one. Seriously. This was hands down one of the most fun, immersive, and genuinely Italian experiences of my trip. The Navigli canals at night are already a vibe, but this took it to another level. Every stop felt intentional different energy, different flavors, different stories and you really get a feel for how locals actually live and unwind. The food? Incredible. Not just little bites real, high-quality dishes paired perfectly with each drink. From cheese and wine to creative cocktails, everything felt curated and authentic, not touristy. But what really made this unforgettable was our host. Absolute standout. So warm, engaging, and clearly passionate about Milan and its culture. She didn’t just guide us she made the whole experience feel effortless and fun, like you were out with a local friend who knows all the best spots. She kept the group connected, the energy up, and made sure everyone was having a great time. You walk away full, a little buzzed, and feeling like you actually experienced Milan not just visited it. 10/10. Would do it again in a heartbeat.
Annabee was a great tour guide. She was very friendly and knowledgeable.
MC was knowledgeable, friendly and kept everything relaxed while showing us some brilliant local spots. A genuinely authentic experience I’d highly recommend.
M. C. the guide was really nice. Totally recommended.
Francesco was a great tour guide- we had a lot of fun walking the streets of Brera, hearing stories about the city and of course tasting some delicious food! We were FULL afterwards though so make sure not to eat beforehand!
What a wonderful tour! Our guide MC was so informative and kind. We went to places we would never have found ourselves and she did a great job of explaining the different regions the food came from. Take this tour.
Lot of new discoveries and interesting conversation and history facts with Maria. We walked around the city whilr our guide maria explained some history facts that were really interesting.
Well done annabee for showing us some great food in pizza to start with. We loved our first try of saffron risotto The wonderful location for prosciutto and meat and cheese selections were perfect. Your choice of dessert was very tasty. Our group would have loved to finish with an ice cream cone gelato experience too. Annabee was helpful and understanding. Great for us aussies.
Annabee was our tour guide and made the event so fun! She had a lot of great information about the city, Italy in general, and shared cultural nuances that we never would have learned otherwise! The food and drinks were also delicious and things we wouldn't have tried on our own.
Maria was absolutely amazing. A fantastic host and tour guide. She showed us some real gems. It was an absolute pleasure. Thank you for showing us around Milan.
The experience was very informative, covering architecture and history of Milan aswell as the background of different foods. It included plenty of walking, all food was eaten outside. Francesco was easy to get on with, and was very polite and understanding.
We were escorted around Milan to different restaurants; a casual, a pizza fast food, and a fine dining. We also stopped at a place that demonstrated various types of balsamic. I never knew there were more than 1! Total of 4 places we ate, and one place included wine. Definitely recommend.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Maria. She had us experience a variety of local tastes with knowledgeable commentary. Plenty of food to enjoy. Definitely worth it.
Maria is an exceptional tour guide. We learned a lot, and ate a lot! Highly recommended. It exceeded all expectations. .............................................
We did not really enjoy the tour since the hosts didn't do a great job managing it. Honestly, it wasn't worth the money.
MC was great, very personable and interacted well with our family group including a four year old child. She tailored the route to our needs and the food we ate was all very good.
Visited several great “eat” stops. Also got a tour of several hidden gems in Milan and visited areas new to us. Maria (MC) was excellent, amazing English, very knowledgeable about the food as well as Milan’s hidden treats. It was a small group so we had lots of ti e, no rush I g and lots of chatting about Milan life, Italian culture and travelling experiences. The saffron risotto cooked al dente was amazing. Thanks MC.
A wonderful tour exploring the different parts of Milan and learning the history. Chiara was very nice and gave us options on what we like to see on our way to the different food spots. We ate some wonderful food! A great way to spend the day.
Anna Maria was amazing Not only she gave my daughter and I an incredible tour but gave us some cool suggestions of other places to visit in Milan She is a true local with a great personality Grazie Mille Anna !
MC was so nice and very informative about the city of Milan and its food history and traditions. She took us to a variety of different kinds of food as well as local sights. The perfect tour for young and old alike at a comfortable pace even in the heat of the summer months.
Great tour with some lovely food stops enroute with a lovely guide. We enjoyed the food and getting some insights into Milan .
Anna Marie was a great host. Fantastic drinks and food. Great group of people too. Plenty food. Great value for money. Thoroughly recommend.
We met Anna Maria near the Canal District to begin our tour along with another couple. We all had a variety of Spritzes and a typically good apertivo at the first stop. We then stopped at various street food places on the Canal while Anna Maria gave us a thorough history of the Canal District and the origins of many of the apertivos. She sprinkled her memories of the area as she is from this part of Milan. Toward the end of the tour, she offered a selection of choices for us as a group to choose from, which was a very nice touch. We loved the tour and if we get to come back, we will book another tour with Anna Maria.
Anna Maria was excellent, very entertaining and knowledgeable. We all had a great time and the food and drinks were excellent!
MC did a great job on our tour giving information about the neighborhoods and the food. The gelato and risotto were incredible.
We enjoyed taking part in a culinary tour of the Canal District. This neighborhood was very happy and full of bars. We toured with Francesco from a unique and refreshing Aperol Spritz to tasting quality wine with aromatic and quality Parmesano, to tasting sausage, and from there to local food that left us satisfied and full. Francesco was charming and friendly. He happily explained the local customs and things that we had covered. He offered to take pictures of us and was happy to answer about things we were interested in. Thank you very much for a fun evening.
