The tour was not guided, if that’s what you prefer, this isn’t the one for you. We enjoyed finding our own way, stopping when we were moved by something.

We've enjoyed Viator since our last visit to Europe and this time did not disappoint! We didn't have to wait and were able to enjoy the Duomo right on our chosen time.
Great way to see the cathedral and city.
Beautiful experience. Great close to views of the incredible craftsmanship and nice views of the City also.
This is a scam do not purchase! Sold me tickets for a time that the church was closed, and I spent 10 times the price of what a normal ticket is at the door. You will have to wait in line as well! When I reached out for help about not being able to access the church, the tour operator and the company have ignored me. I have lost a ton of money.
Order tix earlier then same day. Our tix confirmation didn’t arrive on time and we missed our check in time. We had to stand in line for > an hour to enter. Otherwise, it was a magnificent experience. Highly Recommend.
Once in a lifetime experience to stand on top of a cathedral to not only to marvel at the architecture but the cityscape of Milan
Access to both elevators and the cathedral offers convenience. That said, the roof / terraces get quite busy. Hey - it is Il Duomo and the structure is legendary ... it's worth the time to visit, but there are less expensive options.
It is very high up and out in the open. If you have verdigo issues it will be a problem. There are a lot of stairs to climb and descend, but the views at the top are nice. There is no guide or tour, just entry to get to the top and then go inside the cathedral.
Experience was good. I wish we were told that we had to bring our own head phone. We did not receive audio headsets, We were not informed about an event going on in the cathedral. We had to come back to visit the cathedral
Would never imagined we would be on top of the Doumo an amazing experience Lift up and stairs down straight into the cathedral
Going to the Duomo was a very enriching experience and lovely to see. But I think less than $50 per person would’ve been more acceptable..
It was perfect for our needs. Easy access to the terraces. Walking leisurely was ideal for our family
Very enjoyable tour. Didn’t realize audio tour was not included. Don’t bring headset for phone. Need to make this very clear. The Duomo was spectacular and well worth the visit. Logistics handles much better than other tours offered
I was a little apprehensive about booking a “tour” with no guide, but the instructions that are sent the day before were very clear and easy to follow. The audio guide was easy to access and you are able to use earbuds but was underwhelming in its content.
Very informative and got us through the line efficiently and was able to see all the sights. The information was great and not over the top.
Tour was self guided so we got to see what we wanted at our own pace. The audio app provided for the cell phone and was not particularly functional. No apparent rewind. No matching of numbers of items on official audio guide.
Good way to get tickets in advance ( and you should get them in advance ) and get to take the elevator up. This is an audio tour with no guide. It was filled with interesting facts though.
This was stunning. Milan Duomo is beyond amazing. The rooftop views take your breath away. Strongly recommend !
A great way to see the rooftop and Duomo with one ticket. It took around one hour and was well worthwhile.
Samantha was knowledgeable, friendly., a great communicator and easy to understand. She obviously loves what she does and it shows. I would recommend her tour 100%.
Very good experience . Loved that we could go at a leisurely pace. Easy to navigate. Beautiful views.
Viator provided such ease with the purchase of these tickets to see the duomo in Milano. We were thrilled with the audio tour and the whole experience was amazing!
was really nice, beautiful, unique! Glad we got the tour with the view from above. Definitely encourage people to also get tickets for the archaeological stuff in the basement too (plus it was cooler down there)
Should be a disclaimer about the stairs involved. Elevator up most of the way, some stairs up about 150 give or take, going down all stairs, not for anyone with any physical Handicap or older persons especially in this heat Great views, Great experience
Beautiful Cathedral! Fantastic city views, My husband and my son as well as my self enjoy it! 💕🙏🏼🙌🏼💕💕
Beautiful cathedral, especially the outside architecture was amazing. I bought the audio guide Viator which only provided mewith outside audio. Otherwise I had to buy the inside audio through the app.privided
The walk on the rooftop and balcony was just incredible! This is rare. to see the top of the church from a bird's eye view like this. The inside of the church from below was also beautiful.I highly recommend this
This is a wonderful tour! Maria was our guide and she was extremely knowledgeable as she studied art and history. She was very easy to understand, the individual ear pieces were very helpful and we could hear her over other people talking. You truly only get 15 minutes to look an amazing piece of artwork. Lots of other tour groups but we went in as maybe only 20 or so. You do meet at the little green water fountain and yes drink the water from there it’s is some of the cleanest in the world I was told! I wore shorts by accident they still let me in as I had covered shoulders- no issues. They do have lockers to put and oversized bags or food and water in as you Cannot take them in with you. I was allowed an empty water bottle in to refill after at the green little water fountain. :-) The gift store is small but adequate. This tour was perfect at an 1.5 hrs to see a special treasure, the last supper and Santa Marie Grazie.
Must read in detail, read between the lines and print their tickets, the person I spoke to in Viator gave me the impression it was guided, we were unable to attend due my phone died and I couldn’t access my tickets. They didn’t have a list of our names so they couldn’t look me up. Horrible feeling.
Used the Viator tickets and locating the right place was incredibly challenging, ended up walking all around before heading to the right place and we were told by the museum staff all different things, to go here and there. The instructions were helpful but wished it was clear and easy to find. We tried the audio but the signal wasn’t strong enough to use the audio guide.
Great experience to see the views of the Milan skylines and the unclose details of the Duomo. There are a lot of stairs to descend and to climb, if you don't take the elevator up.
We had an amazing time at the Duomo starting with mass at 11 am on a Sunday. Google Translate made it easy to follow along although it’s very similar to catholic mass in the states. We had the self-guided tour using our phone and iPods. It’s overwhelmingly beautiful and go easy to spend hours wandering the mezzanines and then climbing up to the roof top. Don’t skip this if you have a fear of heights. It’s very safe feeling and the experience of a lifetime. We spent more than 3.5 hours altogether taking photos.
Great experience that was made quick and easy with this pass. Our family would recommend this to other families.
We did not receive the tickets or complete access information 24 hrs prior. Only told to cover our shoulders not our knees. Forced to buy white capes for an additional 4 euros each. We had to contact the operator the day of for our tickets and access. No one met us to provide promised audio guides or instructions for receipt of them. Duomo itself was interesting but without audio guide lacked context.
The Duomo and the rooftop experience was amazing - you have not been to Milan if you don’t see this view. Only don’t know why they said we were guarantees to skip the line - that wasn’t the case.
Was worried about the details but all went smoothly and we were first in the rooftop for fabulous views and early morning temperatures.
Just what was needed. I was tired and didn’t have it in me to do another lengthy guided tour. This was nice. The elevator saved me knees, and I was able to listen to the audio guides in line and live once on the roof and in the cathedral.
The cathedral was utterly gorgeous - I’ll lead with that. However, we had the rooftop tour, and my gosh what a letdown. The initial portion of our tour - walking the perimeter of the Duomo roof and taking photos of the ornate spire art, etc - was incredible, until we decided to follow the arrows up the stairs to the tip top of the structure. No warnings about no shade or massive line to exit, just a disclaimer stating that there are 90 stairs. We got up there and noticed that there wasn’t much to see (outside of what we had already seen) other than scaffolding, and quickly realized that the massive crowd of people was just a line to get back down on the narrow exit stairs. 90°F weather, sun beating down, no shade, no bathrooms, no workers regulating foot traffic. It was rough. Stood in the sweltering heat and after 45 mins, finally got to the staircase and headed down to the ground level (and of course, dealt with attempts from other patrons to cut the line). If they can fix that, it’ll be an A+ tour. Lit a candle inside the chapel and observed some of the Sunday morning service. It was beautiful.
Over all it’s clear as day light you get a ticket to the cathedral and an elevator ticket to the top of the Duomo. No hidden surprises. Honestly wished I would have gotten the stairs instead of the elevator. To be honest the only con I have to this is just please clarify where we have to arrive to and what is needed of us. I went for 3 locations and one to another I just kept being sent to different parts Luckily the confusion was over quickly and I got in roamed around and went to the roof to take my pictures
It was well organized. The elevator was fast and convenient. I appreciated greatly that we had a section to sit to listen to the mass, organ and chorale. The view was absolutely wonderful. It was a marvellous experience.
A beautiful cathedral, well worth the visit, very cool when the temperature outside are soaring. Stunning floor and brightly coloured windows, and ornate capitals on the columns. A bit noisy, lots of builders and workmen dropping scaffolding poles and moving machines with flashing lights, so not quite the sense of awe and wonder I was hoping for. Also, there are signs asking for silence, but most people were talking quite loudly including tour guides.
It was “okay”… nothing spectacular about the audio guide by any means. Not sure if there’s an easier option or even something more guided for more information.
Disappointed with all the scaffold and screens. Lined up to get in lined up & to get out. Hot and over populated.
This was a totally rip off. We got our voucher but never got the actual tickets. So when we call the company, a bridge to Rome, it went straight to voicemail so we never got in. This was a total rip off and definitely not worth it.
The tour was great. We were able to walk at our own pace and listen to the audio. If I missed what was said, I could rewind and listen again. This is a great option for those that want to take their time and take frequent breaks as you move through the building.
This felt like a complete scam. They didn’t send the tickets until the very last minute, despite multiple messages from my side. To make matters worse, the tickets they finally sent were incorrect. I had paid for elevator access but received stairs access instead. Overall, it was a frustrating experience and a total rip off. I would strongly advise against booking with this vendor.
Good and straightforward experience. The information was clear, tickets arrived as expected, and communication was easy when we had a few questions. Everything went as planned, which made visiting the Duomo simple and convenient. Would recommend for anyone looking for a smooth experience.
Provided skip the line access to one of two elevators to the top of the building. However, the audio guide included included with the ticket was not the official venue guide, and had to be accessed with your phone via a link.
I was sold tickets for Sunday at 8:30 AM, even though the Duomo was closed! It was very complicated to get someone to resolve this problem. A lot of energy spent to resolve this problem
